We recently stayed at TRS Yucatan and were thoroughly impressed from start to finish. The quality and variety of the à la carte dining options truly exceeded our expectations. Every meal felt like a fine dining experience. The service throughout the resort was outstanding, with thoughtful personal touches that made our stay even more special. We were especially touched to find a bottle of champagne waiting in our room to celebrate a special occasion. It was such a memorable gesture. The entire property was spotless and well-maintained, and we loved how the resort never felt crowded. The atmosphere was peaceful and incredibly relaxing, exactly what we were looking for. If you're looking for a luxurious, tranquil getaway with top-tier service and dining, this is the place. We would absolutely return without hesitation!

First off this resort shouldn’t be considered five star hotel because it doesn’t give that. I’ve stayed at numerous luxurious resorts and the service here was horrible. I’m also not sure why they have so many good reviews, probably bots. Since the start of check in we had problems with our upgraded room and they ended up giving us mediocre room because apparently the website we booked it on gave us the wrong layout/room. No refund was given or accommodations to that inconvenience and we were so tired we left it as is. It took them forever to give us our room and once we did it smelled like mildew. The butler seems to almost harass you in downloading the WhatsApp for information and honestly that was annoying after having been on a plane and an hour trip ride from airport to hotel. Our butler Francisco didn’t even give us the chance to relax in our room when we first received it as he knocked on our door and asked to come in to speak with us regarding the itinerary for the day. What was strange about that interaction was him insisting to come in the room (all women) to “explain” the itinerary. We later found out he insisted in getting in the room clearly for other reasons, which I highly advise to lock up personal belongings. Right after dropping off our belongings in our room the cleaning crew went in and stole $300. The butler was confronted about the situation along with the cleaning crew and of course they split whatever they stole among themselves and denied accusations. I’ve never been to a resort where they go in to “clean” again after just checking in and receiving your room (mind you the room was already clean because we just arrived). As far as the food goes, it was stale and majority of all restaurants were booked out. Also the pond or lagoon they have by the lobby smelled so bad at some point I thought it might be the seaweed but no it smelled like sewer. At buffets we had to get the hosts or waiters attention to at least get water or coffee, and even at that they never came by to check in on us. On top of that I’m not sure if there were bed bugs but my family and I were bitten all over. This place clearly only caters to white folks so if you’re white then expect phenomenal service. Overall my experience at TRS was very disappointing and we will definitely not be coming or recommending it to anyone.

Andres brought us on a Mayan brunch tour! It was so informative and interesting. He did a great job making everyone have fun and was very friendly. The food was amazing! Loved the traditional underground cooked pork. We saw monkeys and iguana and unique birds! Great way to spend a couple of hours without having to leave the resort!

Our stay at the hotel has been absolutely amazing. The facilities are beautiful! elegant, clean, and thoughtfully maintained. From the moment we arrived, the service has been top-notch, with every staff member going out of their way to make us feel welcome. The highlight of our stay, however, was our dining experience at El Gaucho. The food was incredible, but what truly made the evening unforgettable was our server, Oscar. He delivered the best service we’ve ever experienced — warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful. Oscar went above and beyond to make us feel special, turning a great meal into a standout memory from our trip.

We had the best honeymoon we could have wished for at TRS. Tonight is our last night and although everything was faultless for the last 14 days, tonight we returned to tentazoine for the second time and again we were served by Orlando. Orlando was hands down the best waiter and deserves his own special mention. He can’t do enough for you and made our last night so lovely. Highly recommended!
