Tonga Tower Design Hotel & Suites

We have just got back from our trip to Tonga Towers and I had to write a review. It was lovely, the apartment suite we had for our family of 4 was perfect. We had a kitchenette, a compartmentalised bedroom so we could shut out the kids (!) and double access to the bathroom so they didn't wake us up when using it in the night. I know people moan about the lifts but they really weren't as bad as made out to be. The glass sided one is the only one that reaches the Sky Bar on the 15th floor though, so be prepared to wait for that one if you aren't able to make the last flight of stairs. The staff were a mix of friendly and downright obnoxious. One person stood out and that was Evgeni. He was an absolute treasure to deal with, he was so good with our kids, helping them with an issue they had in the arcade and even gave us some beach umbrellas to use which we gave back at the end of the holiday for someone else to benefit from. He is a wonderful person and an asset to Tonga. The pool area was great, although the kids did wish there was a slide or something similar. The sunbeds were plentiful but if you wanted one in the shade you had to be there at 8am. The beds on the top pool were great but get very hot. The snack bar was brilliant, and the food in general was really nice. I'm dropping a star as there was no bar after midnight and they essentially turn the lights off at 12 on the dot even if you have a drink in hand. I know that sounds like a drink problem but when you dont get back from dinner in the town til 11.30 and fancy a nightcap it's not ideal! Distance to the town is 10 minutes walk. Alcudia is approx 17EUR away by taxi. Can't comment on the kids club as we didn't use it. The staff were non existent during the day and made no effort to get people involved. The evening entertainment was downright dreadful but we didn't book for that reason so we weren't too fussed.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel and overall we were very satisfied. The restaurant was truly outstanding. Every evening there were fresh and varied dishes, and the quality of food remained excellent throughout the day. The variety and freshness of the meals really exceeded our expectations. The reception staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and professional, always ready to assist with a positive attitude. The rooms were spacious, very clean, and well-maintained. In general, the entire hotel was clean and well-organized. The staff across all departments were consistently kind and welcoming. However, there were two points that could be improved. Although we chose this hotel as a family-friendly hotel, there were no children’s programs during the Easter holiday period (April/May), which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, the water in the rooftop jacuzzi was colder than expected, which reduced the overall enjoyment of that facility. Despite these minor issues, we had a great experience and would still recommend this

Barely any parking avaliable, we parked on the street, lucky it's low season. Key card to the room stopped working between checking in and coming back to the room a couple of hours later, had to call Reception to get the door open. Roof bar and jacuzzi are not impressive. Very little area, feels not special at all. Looked around and didn't even feel like sitting, felt not cared for, uninviting. Swimming pool area looks much better in pictures than in reality. Not wow. Dinner was nothing short of disappointing. Poor food selection, pizzas are cold, dry, kept on an aluminium tower waiting to be put on buffet worktop by turn, often a type ends not bej replaced promptly. Pasta with no taste, just boiled, no sauce, no nothing. Fries of just about passable standard, tomatoes cut in big chunks without any care or presentation, fish grilled with no seasoning at all, tasteless. Fruit barely ripen, tasteless. Poor deserts and short in quantity, eat fast or when you get there there will be barely any left. Crowded area of buffet, people bumping onto each other. Drinks? Asked for a Fanta Orange, got a Lemon one. Ridiculous. Bed, as I lay down made a cracking noise, I got up immediately thinking like something broke. Smallest TV I ever saw on an Hotel room, with a prompt window saying their sat license expires in 2 months. Omg 🤣 Can't wait for tomorrow. Probably I will edit this review to add a few more details after breakfast. 🫩

The rooms were clean and tidy, food was delicious lots of selection, location was perfect for the town as it was only a 10 minute walk , the hotel and pool was absolutely fantastic same with the entertainment

We stayed back in june 2025. The hotel was nice and the rooms were modern. Our highlights included the all inclusive drinks with the food being about standard. Another highlight was the pool and our balcony. The walk to the beach/ seafront restaurant and shops was only about a 5 minute walk.
