I went here with my family. The service was really slow. We got our rooms after 2 hours post check-in time. And we had call the reception multiple times to get our luggage to the room. However, the property is amazing. They have multiple pool areas. The breakfast buffet has good variety and quality. I loved that they had vegan milk option and ice cream as well. The location is good as there are some cafes in walkable distance and a shopping mall as well. The rooms were clean but the property is old so that showed in the rooms. The washroom was spacious. They provide with all basic amenities and toiletries. Don't miss the pool side bar, they have amazing cocktails and the pizza is a must try.

My stay at The Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa was truly exceptional and unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the entire hotel staff — especially the front desk team, their supervisor, and everyone we interacted with — treated us with such warmth, professionalism, and kindness. They were always ready to assist us with anything we needed, and their hospitality was beyond our expectations. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and wonderfully diverse, with so many fresh and tasty options every morning. Staying in one of their villas was an incredible experience — very comfortable, beautifully maintained, and offering complete privacy and peace. The atmosphere of the hotel is serene and relaxing, making it the perfect place to unwind. We also felt very safe and secure throughout our stay, which was very reassuring. I am especially grateful for how the staff went above and beyond when my wife fell ill during our trip. They kindly arranged and covered transportation to the nearest clinic, stayed attentive to her needs, and treated us with so much care and compassion during a difficult moment. Thank you to the whole team for making our stay so memorable and for showing such genuine care and hospitality. We look forward to coming back again soon!

We stayed here last week as we were attending a wedding that was held on the premises. The staff here are amazing and friendly, and were especially accommodating and kind to our son who just turned one. The buffet breakfast was yummy and with plenty of variety; the roti and dosa station was my favourite. The amenities on site were well cared for and maintained, and there was plenty to do around the resort as a small family with a young child. The location was convenient and easy to get to get a Grab to and from other parts of town. I do agree with other comments about the state of the rooms. A family member stayed in one of the two-bedroom villas, which was well kept and in significantly better condition than the rooms situated in the main blocks. The room we stayed in had some broken doors on furniture, a bathroom door that was warped and didn’t close, and the bathroom desperately needed some attention. The shower especially was full of black mould in and around the grouting/silicone, and the rain shower head didn’t work. It was a little disappointing given the price of the rooms, even in off season. Had a lovely time all the same, but do think the rooms and bathrooms need a refresh.

This is a really good hotel. The site, beach and pools are all well maintained in a beautiful setting, and all the staff were friendly. The rooms were large and comfy, with an excellent view from the balcony. The rooms are a little older, but have been maintained - we could smell the fresh paint. The reason why I haven't given 5 stars is for 2 reasons: 1. Breakfast was not great quality. It was always busy, and tables often dirty. The range of food is ok, but the quality of food is lower than other 5star resorts. 2. Recognition of Marriott loyalty - Westin resorts are supposed to have a club lounge, but this Westin only gives 2 drinks. I also felt that compared to other similar resorts, Marriott elite loyalty was not as recognized here. Oh, they have a lounge at Langkawi airport - but this will be permanently closed from the end of June 2025

The resort will look a little dated for others but it didn’t stop our family from enjoying our stay. Service and hospitality was warm. There are a lot of activities within the resort itself, and a lot of things to do outside as well. We felt we should have stayed longer. The view is beautiful. Food options within the resort is mid. Not bad but could be improved.
