Lovely hotel requiring some tlc. Staff are very helpful and kind. The grounds are well looked after. Pool area equipment I.e. loungers, sun umbrellas have seen better days. Drinks are overpriced. Food prices and quality as per expectation of a quaity hotel. The location is within walking distance of the Jetty. Ferries and boat trips are available from there. The Jetty area has bars and restaurants if you wish to go out of the hotel. The front of house manager Nazza is so pleasant and very helpful,

We have just returned from a 10 day stay at this wonderful resort. The service, attention to detail and friendliness of every single member of staff was quite unforgettable. Breakfast was an absolute delight with an incredible choice of options - both local and western, with an abundant offering of fresh fruit and juices. The Tide restaurant boasts an excellent chef and well cooked meals with truly lovely staff. The room service menu is the most comprehensive we have ever come across with meals cooked to order and prompt delivery. With a choice of 4 pools and private beach, it is always possible to find somewhere quiet to relax. The resort is, perhaps, looking a little tired in certain areas (new carpets and outdoor furniture), but this in no way detracts from the overall impressions and the first rate staff.

I had a very pleasant stay at The Westin Resort Langkawi during my holiday on 21 - 23 Jan 2026, returning after 18 years away from Langkawi. The reception staff, Farah, was very polite and courteous. The Director of Rooms, Seri, personally came to meet and greet me during check-in—she was truly amazing. She gave a wonderful introduction to the beautiful resort and thoughtfully suggested facilities for me to explore during my stay. I had dinner at Seasonal Tastes, where the food was delicious. The staff, Muhaimin and Reen, were professional and courteous—kudos to both of them. On the second day, as I passed by the reception counter, I was pleasantly surprised when the Front Office Manager, Nazar, and her team wished me a happy birthday. It truly made my day. Upon entering my room, I was delighted to find beautiful birthday decorations on my bed, along with a cake and a birthday card signed by the Front Office team. I felt genuinely appreciated. Special thanks to Logen and the Housekeeping team for their effort and thoughtful decorations. Overall, my stay was delightful, with a beautiful resort and amazing staff. I will definitely return in the near future with my whole family.

Well laid out grounds. Delightful staff. Excellent breakfast. Downside, a relatively standard issue resort hotel with little inherent charm. Pointless to have a room without a sea view. Which pushes up the already very substantial cost even further. Advice would be to consider the options before booking.

Overall, my stay at this resort was very relaxing. The atmosphere and pace of service made it easy to step away from daily routines and truly enjoy the holiday. That said, while the room was clean and comfortable, some of the in-room facilities felt a bit dated. I would especially like to recognize KK Chan, the Director of Food & Beverage, who treats every guest with genuine warmth and professionalism. The special Christmas dining event he and his team designed was filled with a joyful and heartwarming holiday spirit. From the menu to the overall execution, the attention to detail was evident and made this stay particularly memorable. There were, however, a few minor areas that I hope can be taken as constructive feedback for future improvement: 1. As a Gold member, dining discounts are part of the membership benefits. However, since the hotel did not place a deposit on my account, each dining charge had to be settled separately. On a few occasions, if I forgot to proactively mention my Gold status, the discount was not applied. Having to remind staff each time became a bit inconvenient over the course of the stay. 2. Due to my flight schedule, I requested a one-hour late checkout. The front desk informed me that my room type was fully booked for the following day and therefore could not accommodate the request. However, when I checked the app, the same room type still appeared to be available. While I understand that Marriott Bonvoy’s late checkout benefit for Gold members is not guaranteed at resorts, the discrepancy between the reservation system and the information provided at the front desk was somewhat confusing. Overall, this was still a very pleasant and relaxing resort experience. With clearer communication regarding membership benefits, better system consistency, and gradual updates to in-room facilities, the overall guest experience could be even better.
