My trip at Westin was definitely a memorable one. We had an issue with the rooms allocated to us and Naza (front desk manager) was so accommodating and sorted out the issue ensuring we were comfortable while getting us our rooms. She was also very considerate that I had 2 small kids and tried to get us the best option. Along with her Julia was also very sweet and helpful at the front desk. My kids really enjoyed the kids club! I definitely got loads of shipping done because they were in safe hands. During breakfast we asked around where we could get Pulut Hitam and Ms Ana along with the F&B team got some delivered to our to room. The staff at their seasonal taste restaurant were very friendly. The Indian ala carte food was good but I think for breakfast the spread and taste can be better. Overall our stay at Westin was really good. Thanks again to Naza from the front desk for the great hospitality!

Overall, my stay at this resort was very relaxing. The atmosphere and pace of service made it easy to step away from daily routines and truly enjoy the holiday. That said, while the room was clean and comfortable, some of the in-room facilities felt a bit dated. I would especially like to recognize KK Chan, the Director of Food & Beverage, who treats every guest with genuine warmth and professionalism. The special Christmas dining event he and his team designed was filled with a joyful and heartwarming holiday spirit. From the menu to the overall execution, the attention to detail was evident and made this stay particularly memorable. There were, however, a few minor areas that I hope can be taken as constructive feedback for future improvement: 1. As a Gold member, dining discounts are part of the membership benefits. However, since the hotel did not place a deposit on my account, each dining charge had to be settled separately. On a few occasions, if I forgot to proactively mention my Gold status, the discount was not applied. Having to remind staff each time became a bit inconvenient over the course of the stay. 2. Due to my flight schedule, I requested a one-hour late checkout. The front desk informed me that my room type was fully booked for the following day and therefore could not accommodate the request. However, when I checked the app, the same room type still appeared to be available. While I understand that Marriott Bonvoy’s late checkout benefit for Gold members is not guaranteed at resorts, the discrepancy between the reservation system and the information provided at the front desk was somewhat confusing. Overall, this was still a very pleasant and relaxing resort experience. With clearer communication regarding membership benefits, better system consistency, and gradual updates to in-room facilities, the overall guest experience could be even better.

Our stay at The Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa was truly relaxing and memorable. The resort is beautifully set along the bay, offering stunning sea and mountain views that instantly put you in holiday mode. The grounds are expansive, lush, and well maintained, making it easy to enjoy slow walks and peaceful moments throughout the day. The pools are a major highlight — spacious, clean, and never felt overcrowded. The rock pool and infinity-style areas were perfect for lounging, while still being family-friendly. Direct beach access is another plus, with calm waters and gorgeous sunsets that are ideal for evening strolls and photos. Our room was comfortable and thoughtfully laid out, with the signature Westin Heavenly Bed living up to its name. While the property is more established than some newer resorts, everything was clean and well cared for, and the comfort more than made up for the mature décor. Choosing a sea-view room is highly recommended for the views alone. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options catering to different tastes, including Asian, Western, and healthier choices. Dining around the resort was convenient, and the relaxed atmosphere made every meal enjoyable. What truly stood out was the warmth and professionalism of the staff. From check-in to housekeeping, everyone was friendly, attentive, and genuinely eager to help, which made the stay feel effortless and welcoming. Overall, The Westin Langkawi is ideal for couples, families, or anyone looking for a comfortable, scenic, and stress-free resort experience. It may not be ultra-modern, but it delivers where it matters most — service, comfort, location, and atmosphere. We would happily return and highly recommend it.

As a frequent traveller and a long-standing Marriott Bonvoy Titanium member, as well as a Presidential member of Marriott Vacation Club, I have had the privilege of experiencing many luxury properties around the world. Traditionally, when planning family holidays, brands such as The Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, and EDITION naturally come to mind — names synonymous with indulgence, refined service, and assured excellence. However, after our recent stay, I must honestly say that these brands may need to raise their bar, because my family and I have just experienced something truly exceptional at The Westin Langkawi. The Westin Langkawi stands confidently in a league of its own and is, without doubt, one of the finest hospitality experiences we have encountered. I intentionally chose this property for our year-end Christmas and New Year holidays, hoping my family would experience something beyond the “royal treatment” we are accustomed to — a form of service that is genuine, heartfelt, and priceless. What we received was exactly that: service from the heart. From the moment we arrived at the driveway, we were greeted by proactive bell staff whose professionalism was matched by warm smiles. The handling of our luggage and the welcoming atmosphere immediately set the tone for what was to come. At the reception, we were escorted to the Bonvoy Lounge desk and warmly received by Aunie, the Reception Manager for Elite members. Having made my reservation rather late during this peak season, I was understandably disappointed that I was unable to secure higher room categories such as the villas or multi-bedroom suites. Aunie listened attentively, reassured me sincerely, and placed us on the waiting list should any cancellations arise. What truly touched me was her consistent follow-up and real-time updates throughout our stay. Her professionalism, attentiveness, and finesse make her a true asset to The Westin Langkawi. A few days later, I had the pleasure of meeting the Director of Rooms, Ms Seri, whom I observed tirelessly managing the constant influx of guests with remarkable dedication. Fully aware that inventory was completely sold out and that upgrading us would be near impossible, I had no expectations — especially knowing how last-minute my booking was. Still, with two young boys aged seven and nine hoping for more space, Ms Seri surprised us with an incredibly thoughtful solution: an additional connecting King Deluxe room. This allowed our sons to enjoy their own space while my husband and I could have some private time — a gesture I am certain would rarely be extended, even across many luxury brands. Having spent over 120 nights annually with Marriott Bonvoy over the years, I can confidently say this was a rare and exceptional act of care. The joy on my children’s faces was truly priceless, and Ms Seri should know how much of a difference she made to our stay. A special mention also goes to the wonderful teams across the resort — particularly Tide Restaurant, the Seasonal Tastes kitchen team for the generous and flavourful breakfast spread, and the energetic and caring ladies at the Kids Club, Zaiton and Siti, who took such wonderful care of my boys. As I write this, we still have a day left at this beautiful property — and my children are already asking not to leave so soon. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributes to making The Westin Langkawi what it is today. You should be incredibly proud of the standard of hospitality you deliver. Banyak-banyak terima kasih. Truly grateful.

Stayed here for wife's 70th birthday. Lovely hotel in a great location. All the staff have been excellent and made sure we were welcomed and looked after. Particular thanks to the Breeze staff including Fieza and Sikram, the pool bar crew and Azian from Housekeeping, who took personal charge of keeping us hydrated. Must also mention all those working in the background to keep the grounds immaculate and the pool so clean. An amazing week full of Malaysian hospitality.
