The Standard, Bangkok Mahanakhon is an exceptionally cool and stylish hotel, perfectly blending modern design with a fun, upscale vibe. From the moment you arrive, the architecture and interiors make a strong impression—bold, creative, and very much on-brand for The Standard. The rooms are beautifully designed, comfortable, and thoughtfully laid out, with floor-to-ceiling windows that offer stunning views of Bangkok. Everything feels high quality, from the bedding to the bathroom amenities, and the overall atmosphere is relaxed yet refined. The service throughout the hotel was excellent—friendly, attentive, and professional without being overbearing. The location is also a big plus, making it easy to get around the city and enjoy Bangkok’s energy. Breakfast, however, was average compared to the rest of the experience. While the selection was decent and the quality was fine, it didn’t quite match the creativity or wow factor found elsewhere in the hotel. It’s perfectly acceptable, just not a standout. Overall, The Standard, Bangkok Mahanakhon is a fantastic place to stay for its design, comfort, views, and service. If breakfast were elevated to the same level as the rest of the hotel, it would be near perfect—but even so, it’s still a highly recommended stay.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Standard. The style of the hotel and rooms is very colorful and fun, super clean and classy. Our favorite stay in Bangkok. The view is amazing and the rooftop bar / skywalk is definitely worth visiting. We tried two cocktails at the Parlor - Roaming Bliss and Rice Harmony. Rice Harmony stole the show, definitely give that one a try if you’re visiting the Standard. The Gym was the best hotel gym we’ve seen! The staff is super friendly and helpful, 10/10 would recommend

Everything is perfect. Room is very new, and the design is modern and convenient. Views are awesome with floor to ceiling windows all over the room. Bed is extremely comfortable, and liens are high quality. Service is top tier, friendly and efficient. The hotel is right by the BTS station, so going everywhere is a breeze. Highly recommend it to anyone wants a great stay in Bangkok.

Océane “Oceane by the sea”

One of the best hotel we’ve been to this year. First of all, we arrived in Bangkok through a very early morning flight and were at the hotel quite early. We were greeted by Bui and her team, and they assured us we could get a room as soon as one would be ready, which is always a relief when you arrive from a long flight with a toddler ! Upon checkin I realized I had left my phone into our driver car 😬, and she helped me retrieve the phone super quickly. So the first 30min impression were already excellent 😂 We got a room right after going for late breakfast outside, with a cool view in the higher floors. The hotel is very kid friendly with lots of space for kids and plenty of breakfast choices for them. The breakfast itself is in my top hotel breakfasts of the year too. It’s not too big, but you have plenty of options at the buffet and many à la carte dishes. Every is served super fast and the service is super warm and friendly - it’s just nice to start the day in a good mood ! Interior decor is perfect, I’m starting to dread big hotel chains with interchangeable decors and this one has a real identity. From the rooms to the bars/restaurants etc… everything is well thought and the aesthetic is on point. We did room service one night and prices are very good, the food as well. It was super fast. The pool is great, with a bar/snack option, and nice lounger. It was a bit on the cool side in December but still enjoyable especially for our kid. After staying in different areas in the city, we agreed the neighbourhood was a great pick this time. It’s a business area, so it quite quiet, and very clean. You have good food options from very local/street food/no frills to higher prices options. It’s walkable. There is a boat stop easily accessible by grab in few minutes. We got few voucher to visit the viewpoint, free drinks etc… but ended up not using. We will definitely be back without hesitation. It was also great value for the price (I mean it’s not cheap but worth it. It’s not huge so you feel really at home and well taken care of !) Thank you for an amazing stay !!

We stayed four nights at The Standard in Bangkok, and overall the experience didn’t align with the price. We’ve stayed in better hotels for less. Positives - The location is excellent, just a 5 minute walk from the BTS, which makes getting around the city very easy. - Our suite was truly impressive, with a stunning view. The bathroom was the highlight: a large, serene shower-and-bath area that felt like a private spa. - The housekeeping team was consistently kind and professional. - Our booking also included access to the sky view, which turned out to be a great experience. - Another pleasant surprise was the poetry night hosted in the hotel bar by an external group, we had a wonderful time listening to the performances. Negatives - The swimming pool area was below expectations. The space is quite small and quickly becomes crowded when the pool is in the sun. The sunbeds are worn, and you can feel the dents left by previous guests. The water was also unexpectedly cold despite the 30°C weather. In addition, the pool bar’s food was overpriced for the quality offered. - The reception team didn’t feel welcoming, and communication with them was often difficult. - Breakfast was underwhelming as well, not terrible, but far from what you’d expect from a hotel in this price range.
