How far from resort centre?

Distance from aiport

The Standard Bangkok is about 27 kilometres away from the Suvarnabhumi Airport. Depending on traffic, the journey from the airport to the hotel can take anywhere from 30 minutes to over an hour. Alternatively, guests may opt to take public transportation or a taxi, which is readily available in and around the airport.

A wonderfully weird and luxury experience this made for a great stay in Bangkok, with its endlessly slightly wonky nature helping soften the blow of a dramatic change in culture and atmosphere. From the gently disturbing murmuring of the lifts to the unusual but stylish aesthetic we will miss it as our holiday continues. Food was excellent, particularly the breakfast which may be the best and most varied I've had complete with a delightful host. The inclusion of a proper fancy Toto Washlet style toilet was a real bonus. The Sky Beach rooftop bar was absolutely spectacular and a stunning way to finish our last night after dinner at Ojo which felt like a complete steal with a view that will not be quickly forgotten. The pool was a blessing on the hottest of days, and extremely easy access to the Skytrain to get us around the city in air conditioned comfort a real bonus. Would recommend without hesitation.

Perks, amenities and location: Perks: I love the free ticket to Mahanakon Skywalk for guest staying in the hotel plus drink voucher up there. Amenities: One of the nicest and big spaced hotel gyms I have been too. The pool is great with a nice view of the towering Mahanakon building. Location: is across Chong Nonsi BTS station, near good shopping areas like Siam Square or MBK. Traffic is not too bad in this area here compared to other Hyatt properties in BKK/Sukhumvit area. If you have been to Bangkok even with grab location matters.

Probably the best Hyatt stay I’ve had. The room was incredible. The shower was excellent. The gym and steam room were outstanding. The staff were consistently friendly and attentive throughout my stay. As a Hyatt Globalist, I received a room upgrade and complimentary breakfast, which was a great perk. I liked the property so much that I came back a week later and stayed for an additional three nights. After staying at the Park Hyatt Bangkok afterward, I would honestly choose The Standard Bangkok again if I’m in the area

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Standard. The style of the hotel and rooms is very colorful and fun, super clean and classy. Our favorite stay in Bangkok. The view is amazing and the rooftop bar / skywalk is definitely worth visiting. We tried two cocktails at the Parlor - Roaming Bliss and Rice Harmony. Rice Harmony stole the show, definitely give that one a try if you’re visiting the Standard. The Gym was the best hotel gym we’ve seen! The staff is super friendly and helpful, 10/10 would recommend

I stayed here as a couple for two nights in January. We stayed using a Cat 4 redemption, and were very nicely upgraded to a deluxe king. The bed was large and sheets were very comfortable. I loved that the blackout curtains were very effective. The room felt large and roomy, and I appreciated the use of glass bottles to reduce plastic waste. I enjoy tea and also liked the selection provided in the room. The view faced the afternoon sun and a small Christian cemetary. This might bother some, but not me. Fittings looked new and well maintained. The lighting in the room and bathroom was simple to use and pleasant. The Toto washlet initially had a problem, however the service staff promptly reset it and it was fine. The shower and bathtub area were definitely on the larger side of things, so spacious and roomy! The bathtub could easily fit two people. Service was always quick - we requested several times for more bottles of water. The location is convenient, right next to a BTS stop and a small but modern mall. I must say, for all the nice fittings in the hotel lobby and rooms, the hallway spaces look pretty empty and plain! Quite odd.
