Had a great time staying here and experiencing the passion towards design in a hotel. The room we were in let us feel sooo connected to the city through the impressive wide floor length glass windows. A cosy couch with a table and TV was the perfect set up for remote work! The TV was able to project online meetings as well as shows from Netflix. We got an insightful tour by Ni, the Design Manager. Each floor and space had a distinctive design and there were simply countless photo opportunities for anyone to capture to remember their trip. It was sad we were not able to try each and every F&B offerings in the building but we were more than satisfied with the generous and delicious breakfast. Definitely add it to your booking! We are grateful to the teams on-site who greeted us with warmth and look forward to returning again :)

Just stayed at The Standard for two nights. Loved the room, spacious, comfortable bed, great tech, large bathroom and shower. Breakfast was good, nice a la carte choices, but could be expanded and higher quality. Other Bangkok hotels offer significantly more. Pool was lovely, but furniture was very shabby, sun loungers looked very worn and used. Umbrellas were broken. Plus, the entire area reeked of sewage and/or grilled food. They can do better here.

With stunning views of the Bangkok skyline, it provides a serene escape from the bustling city below. Guests can lounge on comfortable sunbeds, enjoy a refreshing swim, or sip on cocktails from the poolside bar.

Design: ★★★★★ The design of The Standard Hotel is truly impressive. The modern, stylish decor and attention to detail create a unique and inviting atmosphere throughout the property. Room: My room was spacious and very comfortable, with plenty of space to relax. The bed and furnishings were high-quality, making for a restful and enjoyable stay. One thing need to add in for the five star hotel is smart TV Service: ★★★★ Service was generally very good. The staff were friendly and helpful, though there were a few moments where things could have been a bit more attentive. Overall, it was a positive experience. Breakfast: ★★★ Breakfast was a bit underwhelming, with limited selection. While what was available was fresh and tasty, I would have appreciated more variety. Facilities: ★★★★ The facilities are nice overall. The pool area is pleasant but on the smaller side, and it could benefit from more frequent cleaning and attention from staff. Other amenities were well-maintained and added to the comfort of the stay. Overall: The Standard Hotel stands out for its beautiful design and comfortable rooms. Service and facilities are strong, though there’s room for improvement with breakfast variety and pool maintenance. A solid choice for a stylish and relaxing stay.

**The hotel is still as beautiful as ever:** the property is impeccably clean, the pool is stunning, the gym is pleasant, and the architecture remains a real favorite — in fact, that’s what brought us back. We stayed for 20 nights in August, at 140 euros per night, which represents a significant investment — and at this level, you expect service that lives up to the standard, with a bit more attention and warmth. Unfortunately, we were disappointed by the lack of friendliness from the front desk staff. The welcome remained cold throughout our stay, almost impersonal, and at times, the attitude felt condescending. This lack of warmth is really unfortunate, especially during such a long stay, when you hope to feel at least somewhat expected or recognized. We also stayed at the W and the Marriott Townhall in Thong Lo: both had a much more welcoming and human atmosphere. That’s the kind of environment we’re now drawn to — because when you're on vacation, you want to feel comfortable and genuinely welcome, almost like at home. **In summary:** a stunning hotel with spotless facilities, but a level of service — especially at reception — that no longer matches the setting. We expected more for a stay of this length and at this price point.
