We visited Coco House on Feb. 10 for one week. We chose it because we like smaller hotels. We knew it was far from the airport. The transfer was fine, but it was a torrential downpour the whole way with gridlock in Castries, but what can you do. Rooms were fine, if a bit small. Rooms were clean, but maybe a bit more attention could have been given to bathroom cleaning. Al a carte meals were all very good, with plenty of selection on a 2 day rotating menu. Breakfast may have been a bit repetitive. We did not find restaurant service overly-slow (as in some reviews). Pool are and pool bar were fine, but experienced the same as others with poolside seating. Rodney Bay is a nice little town and easily walkable. Beach (5 minute walk) was nice and you could take a cooler over there from the hotel, and there were designated seating for guests.

I'm writing this review after 8 nights stay, we still another 3 nights. Our stay has been fantastic from the moment we arrived to a champagne welcome. The staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is kept spotlessly clean throughout and the rooms are clean and spacious. The food has been fantastic, really tasty. We had never been on an all inclusive holiday before so we were pleasantly surprised. The food is freshly cooked, no buffet food that might have been there for hours. If you want a tweak (my wife is mainly vegetarian) then you only have to ask. The staff are so accommodating, courteous and polite. At times the service can be a little slow but hey, this is the Caribbean so chill! Have another cocktail and relax. The drinks are very good, the local beer, Piton, is excellent. When we've had gin and tonic, it's been Gordon's and not a cheap substitute. Both the white and red wines are very palatable too. Then of course there is the large selection of spirits and rum cocktails. The poolside bar is terrific. The pool bar closes at 10 pm and the bar in the foyer at 11 pm. If you like noisy places with entertainment then you will be disappointed. The hotel is quiet soon after ten which we greatly appreciate. There is excellent security on the premises day and night. The location is brilliant, on a quiet road with Reduit beach a few minutes walk away. The locals are so friendly and everybody wants to chat. There are some vendors along the beach but they aren't at all hassly. There are lots of other eating places around if you want a change of venue, we haven't. The main High Street in Rodney Bay is a 15 minute walk away. Again it all seems very safe and easygoing. Lots of locals will ask you if you are enjoying your stay and want a chat (without an ulterior motive of trying to sell you something). We have been so impressed with the island community. Would we come back? You bet. Thanks to all at House Soco, you're doing a great job guys. Kind regards, Phil and Gina Scull

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the area is convenient. There are many restaurant options within walking distance and the beach is right across the street. The staff at the hotel is so friendly, polite and accommodating. Cons: The hotels food isn’t the best and the service is extremely slow… slower than normal island time slow. We waited almost an hour for breakfast after ordering then it was completely wrong. Additionally they didn’t have the Lucian breakfast of authentic St Lucian food although it was on the menu. This was extremely disappointing. The hotel is very very quiet with no entertainment or amenities. If you’re looking for a vacation of just pool and quiet then this hotel is for you. Additionally the crowd is an older crowd. We are in our mid forties and definitely didn’t fit in. The water kept getting turned off in our room with no notice. Last time my husband was mid shower. They were doing some work on the pipes the first time but the receptionist wasn’t aware that the water was to be shut off a second time.

Vacationed at Soco House, St. Lucia from February 3-10, 2024. We had an amazing time. The resort is small and on the quieter side, but that was what we were looking for this trip. Very clean and maintained well. Nice pool for lounging at and only a few minutes to stroll to the beautiful Reduit Beach. They will pack a cooler of drinks to take along to the beach if you ask. Service is perfect, we were treated so nicely. A few people stood out to us and went above and beyond to make our trip memorable. At the pool bar were Charles and Pepper that we called the A Team. At night in the Lobby bar was Warner, who was amazing. The restaurant was very nice with many food options to please all tastes. The service was impeccable as we were treated so special mainly by Juanita and also Muriel on a few occasions. There was a young guy that brought the food out and cleared the table. I think his name was Montel. He is a real nice asset to your team.

We enjoyed our stay for the resort was quiet, what we were looking for. Guest age 80%was 65+. There is a lot of issues during our stay you should know about. We paid for a court yard room and they put us on the road top level. We got our court yard room late the next day and after speaking with others it was the same situation. One couple paid for the junior suite and they never got to stay in it, others had to wait 2 days. The room is lovely! Great beds a very restful place. They ran out of beach towels every day, they ran out of beer 1 day, water 1 day and no coke zero for 2 days. Other guest felt the management had a disconnect with employees. The staff was friendly but not happy. There is no entertainment only the night we arrived a pianist was playing. The food was very good and they rotated 3 menus at night, it was fancy food so my husband didn't like most of the choices. We had no problem getting a chair or cabana and we paid the $30 fee one day. We got champagne and a server, I think they should be serving everyone. I've never had to pay extra for service anywhere else. Overall we did enjoy our week away. Things to improve - have rain umbrellas for guest- be sure hotel doesn't run out of inventory like beer, towels - tell staff the guest are paying your wage so be happy -have a North America choice on menus.
