Wonderful. I have been to many islands and many hotels This is the very best. The service is wonderful, kind, and attentive. I loved the food, a mix of Caribbean and a kind of Mediterranean diet, delicious fish and plenty of salads. The water is soft and safe, the snorkeling is amazing. And the islanders are very friendly. I give it five stars! Susan

My husband and I just returned from the best vacation we have ever had and a lot of that is because of The SoCo Hotel. It’s the perfect place to stay for a romantic getaway! The location is perfect, the views are breathtaking, food is superb and the staff are completely wonderful. They treat you like family. You can snorkel right outside your hotel. I told them it was our anniversary and they decorated it so beautifully for us. A big thanks to the two girls that decorated our room so beautiful. Also a big thanks to Zack for the delicious drinks and making us feel at home. They went above and beyond. We will return next year. Thank you for making our anniversary so special!!!

Stayed 3 nights in Jan 2025. Go to the Radisson or Hilton instead in the same neighborhood. Beach doesn't match pictures - is rocky and you need water shoes; water was quite rough (is much better farther up the west side of island). Their website claimed "book directly with us and get an early check in". I know this is never guaranteed, but when we arrived the front desk clerk was quite dismissive, and ours were the last suitcases in the lobby when we finally were given our room (30 mins after their listed check in time). Our room was on the ground floor and opened onto the pool - zero privacy with people looking into your room from the pool and bar - and no ocean view. When we asked to move the front desk manager was rude. We were told "they'd see about moving us tomorrow". No follow up occurred and I had to force the clerk to call the manager the next day. Once moved, the new room was fine but it's a 3-star hotel, not a 4-star. We booked their "deluxe" room - there is no difference between that and the regular (our 2nd room), as far as I could see - don't bother paying the extra if you stay there. Staff in general are nice (bar staff are amazing) and food is OK, but the front desk tends to be snotty and the beach is much nicer at Brown's Beach or farther north on the Caribbean side of island.

We had a great 1.5 weeks in this hotel.
The staff was all super accommodating and friendly, and the food was delicious!
I haven't been to an all inclusive since I was little, but for all three meals you are seated and given a menu with courses, and the lunch and dinner menu changes every two days so you only have the same 4 or 5 meals, and 3 starters to choose from for two days and never get bored of those meals.
There is tea time early afternoon with sandwiches and pastries.
Don't expect food service 24/7, that isn't here.. but drinks are morning to night. 🍸
The bartenders my boyfriend made quick friends with, and they made delicious drinks consistently and were so fun to chat with.
Also, it's a small hotel, with only 24 rooms (if I remember correctly) and a small pool and deck area. It's comfortable for the number of guests that stay here, and it is right on the beach. Because it's a smaller hotel, you tend to see the same people every day and the staff get to know you well, and it feels more welcoming and personable which I quite liked.
The only complaints I have are the road noise in the rooms so if you are a light sleeper bring earplugs. I got used to the noise after about 5 nights. The buses go by through the night with their really funky horns (you'll get it if you've been in the area), which is a bit irritating.
The water pressure in the shower lacks a bit, but otherwise, I have no complaints.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to any adults thinking about going to Barbados.
We are a couple in our 30s and found that it was allot of mid age to older couples here, but had a good time hanging out with the few couples we met around our age, and good conversations with all the other guests.

The hotel and our room more beat up that I expected. Mediocre food, only red wine available with dinner was a horrible Merlot. After day 1 we ate elsewhere even though we paid for inclusive meals. Friendly staff, beautiful spot, not much of a beach. Noisy, possibly because of the condition. Did not get a good night sleep during our stay. I like Barbados, hope to return, will not stay here again.
