How far is the nearest beach?

The Slate Phuket is set next to the beautiful white sands and tranquil shores of Nai Yang Beach.

There are bars, cafes and restaurants within about a 5 to 10-minute walk of the hotel along the beach. Phuket Town is 40 minutes’ drive away, or the golf course at the Blue Canyon Country Club is approximately 6.5km away. Family fun at Splash Jungle Water Park is about 20 minutes away. The Slate also offers numerous tours and authentic Phuket experiences. Enjoy a sunrise visit to a local temple to walk with the monks, or take a trip to the weekend market in Phuket Town – there’s lots to do if you fancy getting out and about.

I recently stayed at The Slate Phuket to celebrate my wife's birthday, and from start to finish, the experience was outstanding. From the very beginning, the reservations team was fantastic, a special thanks to Panuchanart (Rosie), who made the booking process effortless. She was incredibly helpful in finding the perfect accommodation for our family of five and answered every query promptly and professionally. She even arranged seamless transport to and from the hotel, which made our arrival and departure smooth and stress-free. Upon arrival, the check-in process was quick and efficient, and we were delighted with our spacious ground floor room. However, we did feel that the toilet door lacked a bit of privacy. When I raised this with Auy at the front desk, she handled it with exceptional professionalism and understanding, offering us an upgrade to another room at a very reasonable rate. Her thoughtful approach made it an easy decision, and we’re so glad we accepted it. The upgraded room came with butler service, and we had the pleasure of being looked after by Nim and Reen. Nim was our first point of contact warm, cheerful, and incredibly helpful. She made sure we settled in comfortably, assisted with everything from buggy service to activity bookings, and even went the extra mile in helping us arrange medication for our eldest son, who was showing signs of heat exhaustion. During Nim’s days off, Reen took over with the same level of care and attention to detail, ensuring our experience remained flawless. Overall, we had a truly wonderful stay at The Slate, made even more special by the incredible team who genuinely cared about making our experience memorable. We will definitely be returning. Thank you to everyone who made our trip so special!

Great location. Hotel has private access to Nai Yang beach. Plenty of restaurants and convenience stores along the beach. Beautiful villa, tranquil surrounding. Not to mention there’s a kids club and daily activities for the kids while the adults can lounge at the 2 x adults only pool or workout at the gym. There’s also a main pool for those with kids. Resort also offers many daily activities such as beach cleaning, sports classes, some are with a fee. Fantastic spread at the breakfast. They had many different egg options for you to order and that complement the western breakfast! Excellent service by Ei, our butler who made our stay so much more comfortable. Took great care of our daily needs and requests! Dining experience at Black Ginger was spectacular, food was great and worth a visit

Superb hotel with outstanding rooms and staff! We stayed at the Slate for 5 nights at the start of our Thailand trip and it set the bar so high that nothing compared to it throughout. Our room was a family suite and it was fabulous with very modern decor and the floor to ceiling doors meant that you could admire the views outside too. The location was great for sampling the Thai street food and the beach was nice although we stayed around the pool for all of our stay. We would definitely recommend the Slate and wish we'd have had more time there!

Beautiful facilities and an incredible staff make this place my favorite resort. Everyone is super accommodating. Very vegan friendly food, just let them know your dietary preferences. I had a late night flight on my check out date and was coming off of some food poisoning (not from the resort) and they were kind enough to put me in another room for no charge until my late night flight. I really can't say enough good things about the staff here.

This was our first visit to Thailand celebrating my wife special birthday and our 10 th wedding anniversary and from collection at the airport I could not fault the service from the team. We spent 6 nights at this amazing place enjoying the Tin mine, Rivet and Black Ginger restaurants which excellent in different ways. We loved the concept and details of the history regarding the Tin mining. The service was excellent throughout right up to checkout/ goodbye from Apple on reception who also helped with outings from the hotel. Thank you to all for a wonderful stay. Steve and Sharon
