There are bars, cafes and restaurants within about a 5 to 10-minute walk of the hotel along the beach. Phuket Town is 40 minutes’ drive away, or the golf course at the Blue Canyon Country Club is approximately 6.5km away. Family fun at Splash Jungle Water Park is about 20 minutes away. The Slate also offers numerous tours and authentic Phuket experiences. Enjoy a sunrise visit to a local temple to walk with the monks, or take a trip to the weekend market in Phuket Town – there’s lots to do if you fancy getting out and about.

Kids club was really fun! I was able to make friends with staff and they helped me make necklaces and paint special mugs. The pool was refreshing and always fun, with great pool staff and amenities. The waterfall and tree coverage was especially unique. They was a range of surfaces for different ages and bathing in the shallow water seats. Breakfast was great as expected. Staff are relaxed and has generous opening hours 630-1030 The location and beach access was underrated and really useful with lots of restaurants and a beautiful beach.

We stayed at The Slate for New Year’s Eve to close out our honeymoon travel adventures, and it was truly unforgettable. The Moulin Rouge–themed gala was incredibly fun, with vibrant entertainment, a festive atmosphere, and an impressive spread of food that was both vast and delicious. The entertainment throughout the night was nonstop, and the fireworks show on the beach was completely out of this world. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime way to ring in the new year. Our room was spotless and beautifully designed, with thoughtful luxury throughout. We had a private plunge pool, a private tanning deck, an outdoor claw-foot tub, a walk-in open-air shower, and the most comfortable bed. The closet was enormous, easily the largest I’ve ever seen. Maintenance was quick, responsive, and seamless whenever needed. One small tip: bring insect repellent, especially in the evenings. Other than that, this stay was absolutely perfect and the highlight of our honeymoon. We couldn’t have imagined a better place to celebrate such a special moment.

Amazing stay! The location is perfect, just 5 minutes from the airport and right on a beautiful beach lined with restaurants. The restaurants are good, though it’s worth noting they’re tourist-oriented. Our room was fantastic, spacious, spotless, and very comfortable for all of us (two adults, a four-year-old, and a baby). It had plenty of space and worked perfectly for our family. Every evening the staff came to prepare the room for mosquitoes, lighting candles inside and placing a lightly scented anti-mosquito coil on the balcony, which made the room feel cozy and well cared for. The pool was great and a lot of fun, and the food throughout the hotel was very good. The kids’ club activities were enjoyable, and the staff everywhere were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They also offer beach activities. We took a SUP, and the staff brought it right to the beach, and took it back when we were done, extremely pleasant and thoughtful service. The gym is very nice as well. There are only three treadmills, so it can get crowded in the mornings, but it actually pushed me to run outside, and that ended up being really enjoyable. The hotel isn’t too big, which makes walking around easy and relaxing. There are no chairs or shade structures directly on the beach, but the hotel provides a blanket and a mat, which worked fine for us. Overall, a wonderful and memorable experience, highly recommended

We loved our stay at The Slate, the design concept is consistently dark and luxurious and it smelt amazing. The two adult pools were lovely and clean with lots of beds and snacks and water bought round. We stayed in P on the far side of the resort and although this was more of a walk we liked the quiet. There were families with young children but they were the other side of the resort and we only saw them at breakfast. The airport was only a 10 Min drive and the only time we saw/heard the occasional plane was on the beach. It did not disrupt in any way. The breakfast was the best we had in this trip and we loved the number of options and choices all cooked fresh. The beach is lovely, you can get sunbeds and an umbrella for around 150 Baht per person for the day. The mats provided by the hotel were not great but understand the resort does not own the beach, great safe swimming and sunsets. The resort was reasonably quiet with a good choice of restaurants, massage and a 7-eleven. It is a 40 min taxi ride to Phuket and we did a snorkelling trip to the Phi Phi islands arranged by the hotel which was really good. We enjoyed several eve meals at The Slate, including. Black Ginger, BBQ seafood and we had room service after a long day out. Special mention to housekeeping who kept our room clean with two visits a day and unlimited water. Every interaction we had with the staff was positive and I would recommend this hotel.

An impressive yet welcoming place to visit. We had a wonderful time. Despite a mishap, that had the potential to ruin our holiday, the team did all they could to look after us. There are many choices for food, which is very good quality. The facilities and activities are numerous and great for all the family, including water sports. We loved padel boarding and kayaking and enjoyed several of the kids activities as well. Thank you for a great stay. A special mention for Noi, Sue and Ta who all went out of their way and looked after my family in different ways.
