Travelled with a couples package deal so had some good meal deals etc and generous happy hours. (Very generous) Resort offers adult only pool and rooms away from the huge kids pool area overlooking the lagoon. The breakfast area also has an adult only area. Generous breakfast buffet. We went out of season so hotel was quiet and we had a lovely time. Meals were nice. There was a local long weekend and the resort was full and a bit manic in the kids area, it's a very large resort and wouldn't like to stay in peak times. Staff lovely, housekeeping amazing, so friendly and helpful. Would like to see more sustainable options , like water coolers on each floor. Glass bottles in room daily but would love to have been able to refill without buying more plastic. Overall lovely people, lovely place, but big resort.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it for families! There were so many great activities to keep the children entertained throughout the day – from exciting water slides to multiple pools, they were always busy and having fun. It really allowed us adults to relax knowing the kids were happy and safe. The food was another highlight – a wide selection of options meant everyone in our family found something they loved, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality and variety. The cocktails were also a lovely treat, beautifully made and perfect for sipping by the pool in the evenings. Our room was stunning – modern, spotless, and incredibly spacious. The best part was having our own private pool, which made the experience feel extra luxurious and gave us some lovely moments of quiet and privacy. Overall, the hotel offered everything we needed for a memorable and relaxing family holiday. The combination of great food, drinks, activities, and luxurious accommodation made it truly special. We’ll definitely be returning!

Just spent 8 glorious nights at The Sands. We are a couple in our late 40's and despite it being a more family resort, we had a fantastic time. We stayed in a pool access seaside junior suite and were extremely happy with our room. Plenty of space for the 2 of us and I was really impressed with the amount of storage space (cupboards / drawers) to put away our things. Our room overlooked the adult only pool (room 1621) so it was really quiet and peaceful. We had breakfast everyday in the Mantra Ray which we found great, it had good variety, was very peaceful and less chaotic compared to the Floating Market so it was nice to have that adult only breakfast option. The grounds and pool areas are beautifully maintained and despite it being the busy Easter period, there was plenty of space for everyone. Staff were all lovely and welcoming. After asking the housekeeping staff for a few extra bottles of water, they then did this everyday without us asking. A big shout out to the bar staff at the Coconut Bar. Free flow drink hour every afternoon was a highlight and the staff went above and beyond to insure everyone was served. All in all we were very happy with our stay at the Sands and would definitely go back!

We have just returned from The Sands and had a great time. The room was spacious (2 kids in single beds and one massive double for me and my wife) and we'll equipped. I put 4 stars for room as I'm fussy, there are a few chips and dents in the furniture but anywhere that has so many families it's not a surprise and this did not detract from the experience. The bathroom was massive and the showr was very good. Cleaners refilled everything daily. Shop on site is cheap so balcony beers and snacks covered. Fixed price (200 baht) taxis to the night market were easy and the resort is walking distance from 20-40 restaurants and bars which are worth a visit. Kids pool noisy but there is an adult only pool and another large family pool by the beach which were lovely. Kids liked the clubs and activity room were they could have a bit of AC out of the midday sun 🌞. Staff were great and very friendly. Would return again for sure 😎👍🏼

Really nice hotel. Good location, great beach. Good clean rooms. Friendly service Only negatives - it’s sheer size, feels a little like human soup at times in the pool. Buffet restaurant is insanely expensive and really poor quality. But plenty of options to eat elsewhere close by- alive market is excellent. Had a meal at beachside restaurant in the hotel - really good quality and service and inexplicably cheaper than the rubbish buffet at the floating market. Would heartily recommend the hotel but with the above caveats. Would be 5 stars with a better buffet and less guests.
