We love The Sands Barbados! We stayed December 2024 and again in Dec 2025. Staff are friendly and kind. Rooms are clean and AC is great. Food is very good and main restaurant is organized, clean and inviting with beautiful views of the beach. Both a la carte and buffet is prepared to meet tourists needs, some traditional Bajan food during breakfast. Cocktails are amazing! Water and beach accessible, comfortable lounge chairs set up early with umbrellas. Hotel staff helpful for any tour bookings, car rentals etc...Only feedback for improvement is the service on the beach is hit or miss and sometimes in the dining room service is slow. I do highly recommend this all inclusive for couples or families. Meet people from all over the world.

The staff and security were terrific. Traveled with a first timer to the island. The remarks were the food at the Sands was really good. The location was perfect if you like to walk, as St Lawrence Gap was a leisurely walk away from the hotel and Rockley Beach was the same in the opposite direction. A return to this hotel at a future date is definitely on our list.

Am a repeat guest of the hotel. So that should show you they are consistent. Location is amazing. My room was great but I have seen that some rooms require some updating. I have ready different reviews of service here. I have to say that I am personally treated great. But I think you get what you give in these situations. If you go in expecting the worst or getting frustrated just speak up. If you don’t like your dinner table, ask to move. If you want a refill, ask. The beach and pool are well maintained, and I would recommend this hotel. The value for the price is right on point.

My Honest Review of The Sands Hotel, Barbados First off, I’ll preface this by saying The Sands was not our original hotel of choice, we had a lot of issues with our travel agency prior to arrival. Once we realized we had no choice in the matter anymore, we were promised upgrades which we never got. Do not use air canada vacations ever! That said, here’s our true experience once we got here: Location & Atmosphere The hotel is centrally located, making it easy to get to St. Lawrence Cap, where you’ll find plenty of nightlife. On-site, they offer nightly entertainment which adds a nice touch. The pool is clean, the facilities are well maintained, and while the rooms are a bit dated, they’re still comfortable enough and clean! Food & Dining There is only one main restaurant on the resort, which alternates between buffet and à la carte service. To our surprise, the food was actually very good for an all-inclusive, we really have no complaints about the buffet. The resort also has a “fine dining” restaurant called Noir, but guests are only allowed one visit per week. Honestly, the food there was underwhelming. If the buffet had been average, we might have appreciated Noir more, but because the buffet was already so good, Noir felt like the same dishes simply plated differently. Service This is where we found the main drawback: service is slow. They do offer beach and poolside drink service, but it’s inconsistent, you can sometimes wait up to an hour before seeing a server, which often means you have to serve yourself. That being said, the staff themselves were always friendly, and several really stood out during our stay. Special thanks to Coefei (manager), Junior (supervisor), Adgio and Mario (bartenders), Amari, Davida, and Onisha (servers), Michael ( animator ) and Natasha and Aneisha (hostesses). Each of them went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and their professionalism and kindness made a big difference in our experience. Overall The Sands is clean, well-located, has better-than-expected food, and a team of staff who truly care. The main issue is the slow service, but otherwise, it’s been a positive stay.

I had a great time at the sands celebrating an anniversary with my partner. We didn't stay too long, but the hotel and beach view were amazing. If you're looking for a relaxed vacation stay, I absolutely recommend this resort. It was our first resort stay and we'd definitely come back!
