Beautiful and well maintained resort! Pools are clean and temperature controlled. Breakfast buffet has a great variety and very well seasoned food. In room dining food was also delicious especially the club sandwich. We stayed in the luxury suite with pool access which I would recommend. Most importantly the hospitality of the staff is outstanding very polite, respectful and accommodating. The beach by the hotel is mainly for water sports and activities but still offers a nice backdrop to the beachfront swimming pool.

The rooms are so amazing 👏 🤩 I love it every time I come here. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I'm writing this review only because of Demmy he is the guest and service delivery manager. Every time I come to the resort he is always welcoming and remembers my name that's gives a personal touch and make the whole experience personalised. I had given my items for laundry and next day when I spoke with him at the reception. He personally made sure I get all of my items with care delivered personally to my room. I was touched with the genuine care offered towards the guests staying in the hotel. Besides this the hotel is beautiful and clean and every effort is made to keep the guests very happy. I like the breakfast options and smiles of the staff greeting with warmth. Keep up the good work 👏. I had a very pleasant stay Can wait to visit again.

The hotel is fantastic! Very beautifully done. Close to nature. There are multiple huge pools , private beach access and activities. The rooms are spacious , have big balconies and a lovely view interiors of the resort. The lobby, terrace and the beach side restaurant have live music during the evenings. The breakfast is delicious and a vari. The staff is hospitable and kind. Always greeting you with warmth! And the star is Demmy - the guest service relationship manager. He will ensure you're having a fantastic time. He is your go to man for everything you need to know! :)

Disappointing Experience at Shakara Resort I had high expectations for Shakara Resort in Bali, but unfortunately, my experience didn’t live up to the hype. While the location is undeniably beautiful, nestled among lush greenery, the service and amenities left much to be desired. Upon arrival, the check-in process was disorganized and slow, with staff appearing overwhelmed despite it being a relatively quiet day. The room, although stylish in design, was not properly cleaned — the floors were dusty, and the bathroom had an unpleasant odor. Housekeeping was inconsistent throughout my stay, and I had to request fresh towels multiple times. The biggest letdown was the resort restaurant. The menu was limited, and the food lacked flavor. On one occasion, my order was incorrect, and it took nearly an hour to receive the replacement. The staff were polite but seemed poorly trained and inattentive. While the resort grounds are serene and the pool area is photogenic, the lack of attention to detail and overall poor service made the stay underwhelming. For the price paid, I expected a far better experience. I hope management takes these issues seriously and improves, as the resort has great potential but currently misses the mark.

Terrible experience – would never return Our stay at The Sakala was a huge disappointment from start to finish. We had a massive water leak in our room, and despite calling the reception multiple times, no one came. We eventually had to go down ourselves to ask them to send someone. After much delay, they finally sent an engineer. Housekeeping was just as bad – we had to chase them every day just to get the room cleaned. Sleep was impossible. The hotel is right next to the airport, and you hear planes from Denpasar flying over all day and night – incredibly loud and disruptive. The breakfast was horrible – barely any choice, and what was available was low quality. We actually got sick after eating it. The beach area is nice, but you can’t swim in the sea due to strong currents or conditions. There are no activities at all, and all the restaurants close ridiculously early, making it hard to get food in the evening. The hotel feels like a ghost town – barely any staff, barely any guests, and nothing going on. The only good thing was the gym – very well-equipped and modern. But even then, no refill water, which is disappointing for a hotel claiming to be high-end. Overall, the place feels abandoned, mismanaged, and not worth the price. Definitely would not recommend staying here.
