Had a great time and ultimately it was a wonderful vacation the facilities were clean and everyone was friendly. If you like to be tended to and crave constant interaction and attention this place is for you. The staff tries to sell experiences at every turn and is relentless in their pursuit. We couldn’t escape someone trying to get us to go to the spa, book excursions, or buy photos that we did not want taken. It was often hard to relax because we were approached so many times. I understand that some people enjoy this kind of service but we did not and it was incredibly invasive. At one point, a man who harassed us into taking photos we did not want to take and a man tried to guilt us into doing an excursion saying “you guys really aren’t going to do anything?”. When the staff isn’t trying to hock something it’s vendors on the beach. We paid for the premium experience and still had to deal with people on the beach with large birds asking if we wanted photos or hair braiding, I think paying for the reserved spot on the beach should preclude you from these kind of interactions but I understand everyone has to make a buck. The food was fine, to be expected at a large resort but we did love Delores at Portofinos she was funny and sweet and the service there isn exceptional. We got massages at the spa and that was wonderful Noemi and Rosanna were great and for how much they try to sell you on the spa experience, they don’t bug you once you actually are at the spa. The manor in which you book reservations had to be done through a butler, ours, Randy was great but not being able to do things independently was cumbersome and added more work to simple requests - again I understand some people enjoy this kind of service but it’s not for us, we came on vacation to be left alone. This would be a great place for a large group and there seemed to be a lot of opportunities for activities with kids.

Our stay at TRS Turquesa resort has been fantastic. The service from all the staff has been first class and it is nice to see the happy and warm smiles from the staff. In particular, I would like to thank our butler Meldy who has guided us through our entire stay, and he is always available to answer our questions and advise. Initially, we were booked in another room, and our wish was to have a swim up pool. Meldy took the time to explain the difference in the room views and took us to the poolside to view which we very pleased and did the upgrade. Meldy always greets us with a warm and genuine when we see him and we very much appreciate what he has done to make our stay so comfortable. We will definitely come back to TRS and ask for Meldy.

Our large group just stayed here for 1 week, and we all had such a great time. The property is beautiful. It is a large property in itself, and affords access to the adjacent Palladium properties. We were in the 5500 block, which is nice and central to everything, and has quieter pools surrounding it. The room was large, clean, and stocked well (the room service box was pretty neat too) We did alot of walking up and down the beach, and honestly the TRS beachfront is the nicest one in the area. And we never had any issue getting loungers, no matter what time of day we went. Oh and the gym was excellent. By far the largest and best-equipped gym we've used on at a resort *Be sure to grab an espresso martini at the lobby bar (soo good), and splurg on thr Chic Cabaret show (such a great time there)

From start to finish the service for our stay was exceptional, we were a large group of 16 people and had 3 dedicated butler's assigned to us for our stay. Rodney, Noris and Edward went out of their way to make sure our stay went smoothly and any requests we had were tended to immediately. The property and grounds were clean and well kept. We spent time at the beach and at the pools attached to our buildings. There was never an issue finding chairs, drinks or food. One of the better resorts we have stayed at so far.

The resort is beautifully located on the beach with pristine blue water. The hotel grounds are well maintained with lush tropical flowers. There was an issue with our room smelling like mold but our butler, Meldy, was able to get our room changed in a timely manner. Our minibar fridge also was not working and it took a few days but eventually our fridge was replaced. As an apology for the wait, Meldy decorated our room with balloons, rose petals and provided prosecco for our enjoyment. The restaurants are a bit hit and miss. The dining options on the TRS resort are definitely better than the other ones on the campus. We thorough enjoyed our first visit to DR.
