I would initially have given 3 stars based on our first room, which was rather average. However, the hotel kindly upgraded us to a beautiful King Suite, and that completely changed our experience. A big thank you to the reception team for their professionalism and excellent customer service. The hotel itself is stunning, the service is excellent, the bedding is extremely comfortable, and everything works perfectly. For a prestigious brand like the Ritz, the value for money is outstanding. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it.

The Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur is an exceptional experience by all standards. The location is superb, just steps away from Pavilion Mall and within walking distance of the iconic Petronas Twin Towers. The rooms are elegant and comfortable, and the service is outstanding from the moment you arrive until checkout. The staff are professional and anticipate your needs before you even ask. The breakfast buffet is varied and delicious. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a luxurious stay in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.

Sunday brunch is a must do. Even if you do not stay here as we did. The service is amazing and waiter Shamim Is the local version of the Japanese culture of kikubari, delivering service before you expect it. Having made many trips to Japan, I have become accustomed to the local service level. Shamim is one of the few waiters outside Japan that delivers service at the same level. Hot and cold food are of high-quality. The desert indicates that there is no real pastry chef on location. Cocktails are good and the Prosecco is better than some Champagnes. Although I am quite disappointed that a hotel like this does not serve a brunch with Champagne

a few oversights in service quality which reflect poorly on the staff’s training and attitude 1) we booked a room to celebrate my birthday. 3 months prior, a list of requests was sent to the hotel and acceptance was confirmed. Another gentle reminder was sent a week before. When we checked into the room, none of the requests were met. We called reception and they acknowledged their oversight. They confirmed that the room would be changed. 2) we came back and asked for keys for the new room. The reception mentioned no such request was made. After another colleague checked their request, she noted the receptionist keyed in the wrong room number. 3) When we finally checked into the new room, the name of the birthday person was spelt wrongly. How many mistakes can be made with one booking? 3 big ones in half a day. Very disappointing.

Rooms looked a bit worn down and the beds were a bit too springy (could feel every movement on a king size bed if you're sleeping with your significant other). Not the best room compared to other Ritz-Carltons I've stayed at but the location was great. Proximity to Pavilion mall which also has access to the connection sky bridges that take you to other areas such as the Petronas Twin Towers/KLCC. In the opposite direction of Pavilion, there's The Exchange TRX which is less crowded and has a giant plaza in front of it with many restaurants in nearby streets. Hotel breakfast had decent selection and the club lounge was nice too. If you booked a club room, you can access the club lounge on the ground level. Club Lounge was great. We had afternoon tea and evening snacks there. They pretty much had something to offer throughout the day which was nice for those who plan to spend the day at the hotel or in the area. The hotel was a bit confusing to navigate around at first due to lack of visible signage and the front desk person that checked us in did not help us figure out how to get to the elevators. We also weren't told where the club lounge was so a lot of the first day navigating around the hotel we had to do ourselves. Other than that, service was decent. We celebrated our anniversary here and the hotel staff provided us with a nice treat in the room. Overall a good stay.
