Sour Bitters
Classy and beautiful hotel with incredibly warm and welcoming staff. We booked a larger room with club lounge access, and it was honestly the best decision! We went back to the lounge frequently to enjoy the snacks and drinks. The coffee in the club lounge is of Australian standard 😊—although the same can’t be said for the breakfast buffet in the main dining area. We enjoyed many delicious cocktails and mocktails, along with light lunch and dinner options. The staff consistently delivered professional and attentive service, and they even kindly offered takeaway coffee for us at checkout 🙏 The in-house massage was also excellent. My masseuse was highly skilled, and the experience was truly relaxing. If I visit KL again, I will definitely stay here on my next trip!

Rooms looked a bit worn down and the beds were a bit too springy (could feel every movement on a king size bed if you're sleeping with your significant other). Not the best room compared to other Ritz-Carltons I've stayed at but the location was great. Proximity to Pavilion mall which also has access to the connection sky bridges that take you to other areas such as the Petronas Twin Towers/KLCC. In the opposite direction of Pavilion, there's The Exchange TRX which is less crowded and has a giant plaza in front of it with many restaurants in nearby streets. Hotel breakfast had decent selection and the club lounge was nice too. If you booked a club room, you can access the club lounge on the ground level. Club Lounge was great. We had afternoon tea and evening snacks there. They pretty much had something to offer throughout the day which was nice for those who plan to spend the day at the hotel or in the area. The hotel was a bit confusing to navigate around at first due to lack of visible signage and the front desk person that checked us in did not help us figure out how to get to the elevators. We also weren't told where the club lounge was so a lot of the first day navigating around the hotel we had to do ourselves. Other than that, service was decent. We celebrated our anniversary here and the hotel staff provided us with a nice treat in the room. Overall a good stay.

In January 2026, I checked into the Club Suite at The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur. Set within the eastern Bukit Bintang area of the city’s Golden Triangle commercial and entertainment district, the 364-room hotel is a short walk away from popular shopping malls such as Pavilion Kuala Lumpur and Starhill Gallery, with a covered walkway available all the way to KLCC (Kuala Lumpur City Centre) and the Petronas Twin Towers. THE RITZ-CARLTON, KUALA LUMPUR The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur opened its doors in December 1997, with its last major refresh concluding in March 2016, an endeavour helmed by New York-based interior designer Alexandra Champalimaud. The hotel comprises two separate wings, each with its own driveway. Guests typically check in at the main wing with its white marble lobby, but club guests who drop off at the main wing by mistake (as I did) can access the Club Wing via an escalator ride up to the first floor and past a white circular gallery which connects both wings. The Club Wing has its own private entrance and check-in lobby dedicated exclusively for club guests, as well as a Club Lounge on the ground level. The Club Wing’s interiors play it European colonial elegant with dark woods, cornice ceilings, dramatic still-life paintings and plush sofas, with the old-world and refined ambience calling for the use of flowy scarves, luxury handbags and ornate walking sticks. In terms of wellness, the hotel offers a fitness centre fitted with Technogym equipment; a health club with steam, sauna and jacuzzi facilities; a swimming pool reserved for families (the nearby Ritz Kids room and inflatable swimming pool can amuse the ickle ones while you lounge and catch up on your reading); and a Spa Village with its suite of treatments (including a signature Sensory Sound Bath), retail shop and a landscaped private spa pool for ages 16 and above which keeps you safe from the aural pleasures of the aforementioned ickle ones. CLUB SUITE The 68sqm Club Suite has a decidedly residential feel. The bedroom connects to a walk-in wardrobe and a marble bathroom, while the expansive living room has distinct sofa seating, work station and dining table areas as well as a powder room, with power points thoughtfully located throughout the suite to ensure you can comfortably lounge with charging access anywhere. The pantry offers Dilmah tea and a non-Nespresso espresso capsule machine, while the minibar is discreetly tucked behind one of the panels below the television for some reason. The very white marble bathroom has an attached toilet with bidet functionalities, a single vanity, an enclosed rainfall shower area as well as an ensuite bathtub. Bathroom amenities are courtesy of Parisian fragrance brand Diptyque. Aside from access to the Club Lounge, club guests also enjoy 24-hour butler service, access to the business centre and private meeting room, complimentary pressing (3 pieces a day) as well as a complimentary VIP styling session by the boutique stylist at Balmain, The Starhill. Due to time constraints, I was unable to try the latter, but I am most intrigued by what the session entails. The full review inclusive of dining experiences and photographs is available on Secret Life of Fatbacks, a luxury travel website.

The Cheapest Ritz-Carlton in the World? A Truly Luxurious Experience Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur truly exceeded my expectations and proved that luxury is defined by service, not price. From the moment I entered the main lobby, I was warmly welcomed with attentive bellboy assistance, and the experience continued seamlessly all the way until check-out, where even my parking ticket was thoughtfully validated. Every detail mattered. Upon arriving at the Ritz-Carlton Club check-in desk, I immediately felt genuinely honoured as a guest. The level of professionalism, warmth, and personal attention was exceptional. I had casually requested a simple birthday decoration, but to my surprise, the hotel went far beyond my expectations. The room was beautifully decorated, and I was delighted to receive a delicious chocolate cake along with Ritz-Carlton’s signature chocolates — a truly thoughtful and memorable gesture. The Club Lounge experience was simply outstanding. The service was tip-top, attentive without being intrusive, and consistently refined throughout the day. What truly sets it apart is the six daily dining presentations, which outshine many competitors: Breakfast Light Lunch Afternoon Tea (tea set) Evening hors d’oeuvres Cocktails Desserts and cordials Each offering was well-curated, high quality, and beautifully presented. Overall, everything about my stay was excellent — from service and hospitality to dining and attention to detail. Thank you, Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur, for making my stay and birthday truly special. ✨

The hotel is very tastefully decorated. Lots of wood all around the hotel. Furniture and fitting is also a good balance between modern and classy. Check in takes a while as the staff needs to key in a lot of things and explain to the customer what their stay entitles to. However it is something that I appreciate. We were also given a welcome drink, which is a buah pinang drink. The room for two people is incredibly spacious, and the toilet is separated from the bathroom by a wall. The bath tub is also incredibly comfortable but water drainage took a while. The soap, shampoo and lotion are also well scented. The closet and make up area are also spacious. There are two pools within the hotel premises. The one next to the spa was open when we visited while the other was closed for works. It is a saltwater pool and the water was absolutely frigid. The pool is incredibly clean nonetheless and i enjoyed swimming here. Breakfast was at The Cobalt Room and while food choices were limited, it was made up by the food quality, which was top notch. Overall we enjoyed staying at the ritz Carlton and hope to return someday!
