Krish and Kavi
We had a lovely time here as a family. The staff are so lovely and helpful. The location is beautiful - a retreat from the madness - as the name suggests. The facilities are great - heated pool is incredible, covered kids’ pool is handy and the beach is just beside the pool so not too much walking. You can also access the gym, sauna and jacuzzi which is a nice touch. Guests are a mix of nationalities. We went half board and only discovered on check in that we could only use it in one restaurant - the buffet - but the chefs change up the menu daily so you don’t get too bored eating there. There is a healthy spin to most food and drink - it is a dry hotel so no alcohol is served. There is another Turkish restaurant on site however we preferred the food at the buffet. It wasn’t difficult to get taxis. There’s a shuttle to the mall which is great and leaves at a variety of times. There isn’t any entertainment in the evenings other than a guitarist at dinner. This is outside of the hotel control but unfortunately there are building works ongoing in front of the hotel which are very loud and start early in the morning. Thankfully you can’t hear this from the pool or beach so best to get a room that overlooks the sea or you’ll hear the works. As mentioned above there are quite a few things that aren’t really explained upon booking which can make you feel a bit misled when you arrive, which is why we don’t rate this as a five star hotel but a four star. Average stay in this hotel: issue during the check-in as my 2 rooms were not ready at 3pm. Needed to beg to get 2 communicating rooms for my family, which eventually were available. Personnel at the reception having difficulty to communicate with house keeping team. They gave me the lounge access as I have upgraded the rooms but it was not indicated on their system so again need to fight to enter the lounge. View is magnificent and other services were good. Personnel very nice. This is really a family hotel with many children. Please change the big and ugly swimming limits in the sea which pollute the view. Water sports too much expensive. In final not really at the level of a 5 star hotel and definitely not a Mgallery (we stayed on many others in the past).

Very relaxing hotel directly at the beach with nice view to the Dubai Marina.
Great food, great service team around Islam. Everyday something different, local as well as international.
Rooms are always clean and one feels that everyone is doing the job perfectly.
Also the wellness team around Patrick does a great job with a very welcoming attitude.

Nice hotel, well located on the palm.
beach area is really nice with good quality sun-beds and umbrellas.
Quality of the Breakfast is not that great for the price you’re paying. Pastries are not great too.
Evening buffet is alright, you can have nice steaks and grilled chicken.
Rooms are clean and nice with really good comfy beds.
Gym is small but nice, the spa is good with amazing staff members. Patrick is an absolute super star ⭐️ Looking after the guests with joy and a big smile.

Had a great stay at ‘The Retreat’, lots of activities to do, a great pool and swim up non-alcoholic bar.
Beach was also very nice, with service buttons on the beds to request food and drink.
Also have a spa and a (small) well equipped gym.
The staff are all really friendly and happy to help. A special shout out to Patrick, always keeping me topped up with the ice cold water in the gym, whilst bringing great energy and good vibes :)
