Don’t look beyond this hotel if you are a family travelling for the calm views of the turquoise hues. The hotel is spectacular. Super clean beach and beyond gorgeous property. We had an ocean front villa which was amazing. We travelled with our two year old son and the attention to detail the hotel had was something. They even put a booster seat on our bicycle so we can could move around the property with ease. The food and just super. It was my birthday so we spent the evening at the jetty bar. Overall one of the best stays I’ve had in Africa. Tip: choose to stay here towards the end of your trip and go all inclusive. You won’t be disappointed.

We loved our stay at the Residence. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are very luxurious, with all the amenities you could ask for, including bikes to move around the hotel. We would have stayed here for ever! They also give you a catamaran ride for free, as well as paddle boarding and kayaking. Also, as we were on our honeymoon they gave us a complementary massage (so great!) and a romantic dinner by the beach. We recommend it for honey moons as it is very romantic! Thank you the residence staff for making us feel very welcomed!

We stayed at The Residence for our honeymoon, and it was an unforgettable experience. The resort is stunning, with exceptional service and staff who go above and beyond. The attention to detail and remarkable cleanliness in the rooms truly stood out. One of the most special touches was the bicycle experience around the property, which felt both romantic and fun. The private pools add a luxurious feel, and the Pavilion is an absolute must-try for dinner—it was one of our highlights. The food overall was good, though we felt the variety in the main dining room could be improved. For tours, I recommend booking with outside companies rather than through the hotel, as they offer similar experiences at a much lower cost. A small tip for future guests: double-check the weather before you visit. During our stay, it was too cold to enjoy our private pool, as the water wasn’t heated.

Booked 2 private pool villas at the residence with my friends. The resort did not disappoint one bit! You honestly don't need to leave the resort since everything is included. Ahmad the receptionist was a great help and provided just the best service which helped make our stay even more comfortable. The rooms were fully equipped and super clean. Staff come to prepare the bed for you when the sun sets. Although the breakfast was continental it could have been slightly better with more options. Also tried the spa services which was also a great choice. They host dinner with a show I think every night which is a great experience for visitors. Would definitely recommend staying here and choosing the private villa and will definitely be visiting again.

In one word: fan-tas-tic! We spent an entire week enjoying the luxury, perfect service, and stunning surroundings that The Residence has to offer. Every morning, we woke up to the sound and view of the ocean. The oceanfront pool villa was fully equipped, spacious, and spotlessly clean. The service, friendliness, and helpfulness of all the staff were truly remarkable. The resort’s facilities—such as the gym, tennis court, and spa—were excellent. We would especially like to thank Runi and Farida for making our honeymoon that extra bit special with their kindness and outstanding service. We're already looking forward to our next visit to The Residence.
