I recently stayed at the Mulia Resort and it exceeded every expectation. The property is absolutely stunning, from the immaculate pools to the beautifully maintained grounds. The service was exceptional — every staff member was warm, attentive, and genuinely focused on making our stay perfect. The rooms were spacious, luxurious, and incredibly comfortable. The food options were outstanding, with every meal offering great quality and variety. Overall, Mulia delivers a true five-star experience and I can’t wait to return. Highly recommended! The only suggestions I would have is I wish there were ramp access around the pools as we had a baby with a stroller.

Here are my pros and cons: Pros: - Spacious property and facilities outside of your room, kids club, pools, gardens. - The restaraunts and breakfast themselves on their own are great. - They keep the place pretty clean. Cons: - Huge confusion about whats included and whats not on luxury escapes. Luxury escapes fine print say 'Blackout Period May Apply' but dont tell you what that relates to or when with respect to your food inclusions. Once you arrive you get given a leaflet about what those blackout days are (as determined by Mulia' This meant both New Years Day and Eve food that luxury escapes advertise as included is not included in your package even though youre probably paying for it extra when you add it on. We were then told that theres a special New Years eve buffet which costs $250 aud/person. Which was crazy since most of the a lacarte items would only amount to about $60-$80aud pp. Then theres added complexity around dine around credit if you at two of the other restaraunts at the Mulia. Second is that after this, i tried to confirm with lobby/ reception staff several times if i have dinner or lunch included on checkout day, one clearly checked with a manager and said yes. Upon checkout they slugged that last lunch and we had to pay that as we were in a rush to leave. Overall id say dont buy the lunch / dinner inclusion, just get daily breakfast and go a la carte with everything else. - Because youre kind of 'stuck' at The Mulia, theres a feel of added upsell to go to parts of the resort etc. - Bigger than usual but still small and cold feeling rooms. Overall i think id spend my money elsewhere. Mulia feels more like it was done from a property development perspective not from a Hotel service perspective.

We had the most wonderful experience in Mulia Resort. The resort is absolutely beautiful, stunning, and everything feels luxurious. The room was spacious and spotless, and everything was so amazing and that made waking up each day unforgettable. The buffet breakfast was incredible with so many delicious choices. The restaurants within the resort were fantastic as well with great food and perfect service every time. Charming and friendly staff- nothing was ever too much hassle to make our stay special. Probably one of the best holidays we have ever had. Can’t wait to go back

Huge resort with great pools and clean beach. Nice and quiet. Very prompt and efficient service, while never intrusive. Liked that for shower, the water flow and temperature controls were independent. But the smooth cylindrical tap was a little hard to turn with soapy hands. Other than that, nothing to complain about. Breakfast had wide arrays of choices that all tasted good. On our last day, there was a short queue to get to the buffet breakfast. If not eating in the resort, need to take transport (not really walkable) to get to outside restos as the adjacent sites are all other big resorts. Enjoyable stay overall, and would love to come back.

Absolutely Unacceptable – We Felt Taken Advantage Of Our experience at The Mulia in Bali was one of the most frustrating hotel stays we have ever had. From the start, the pricing was misleading. What we were initially quoted kept changing, with extra fees being added later without proper explanation. It genuinely felt like we were being taken advantage of rather than treated like paying guests. The front desk situation was beyond unacceptable. We were forced to wait for nearly two hours with no real assistance, no clear answers, and no sense of urgency. My family was exhausted after traveling, yet we were left standing and waiting while staff did nothing to resolve the issue. We were passed around, given different explanations, and kept in the dark the entire time. The receptionist we dealt with was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. We were told things that later turned out not to be true, which only added to the frustration. Instead of trying to help or take responsibility, the staff made us feel like we were the problem. For a hotel that advertises itself as “luxury,” this was a shocking level of poor service, lack of transparency, and disrespect toward guests. We left feeling stressed, angry, and deeply disappointed. I would strongly warn others—especially families—to think twice before staying here. Based on our experience, this hotel does not deliver on its promises and does not treat its guests with the honesty or care they deserve.
