Stayed at The Merchant House in Bahrain and had a wonderful experience. This is a charming boutique hotel located right in the heart of Manama, making it very convenient for exploring the city. The room was beautifully designed, comfortable, and had a very warm, welcoming feel. The entire property has great character and a really nice vibe. Overall, a lovely boutique hotel with great service, stylish rooms, and a relaxing atmosphere. I would happily stay here again when visiting Bahrain.

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The property is beautiful, the design is impressive, and the overall atmosphere has a stylish European touch that I truly appreciated. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and professional, providing excellent service throughout my visit. However, I noticed a few issues that affected my overall impression — especially as a fashion designer who pays close attention to detail. Some of the staff uniforms appeared worn out, with visible tears or stains. This does not align with the standards of a five-star hotel, and it reflects management oversight rather than the fault of the employees. Additionally, the uniforms across all departments looked almost identical, with no clear distinction in style, quality, or identity. Another point worth mentioning is the presence of insects and mosquitoes in the lobby area, which was quite bothersome and took away from the otherwise pleasant atmosphere. On the positive side, the hotel is very clean, and the food at the restaurant is delicious. I have visited the restaurant three times recently. I haven’t stayed in the rooms yet, but I’m planning to experience the accommodation at the beginning of next year. Overall, the hotel has great potential, and with a few improvements, it could easily reach an exceptional level.

The hotel is very nice and cozy with beautiful artwork. The rooms are very spacious. Service is amazing and staff is very friendly. Ali was extremely helpful and hospitable. He went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. Our room had humidity issue that triggered my asthma, he truly went out of his way to fix it for us. Throughout the 7 days I stayed there he made sure that I had everything I needed and that the merchant house was my home away from home.

I’ve stayed here multiple times, and the consistency in service is what truly stands out. Today, there were two separate situations, both handled very professionally by Ahmed at the reception. His calm approach, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail made a clear difference. As a business owner in the hospitality industry, I really value this level of professionalism and guest care. The overall experience remains elegant, comfortable, and very well managed, which is why I continue to come back.

What a delightful hotel. It's quirky with its contemporary art collection and the service from the employees is first class. Fantastic location. Rooms are quiet as its solidly built. It sits next to a mosque, so the first call to pray is about 0510 .it lasts a minute or so. Im one very picky traveller and I would have no reservation about recommending or staying here again. The rooms are very very spacious and the bed is so comfortable. TV's everywhere,kitchenette fridge dining table sofa etc. It really is an absolute gem of a hotel. Even if not staying hear check the rooftop restaurant on the top floor. Please consider the hotel for your next stay. You will not be disappointed.
