The hotel is safe, clean and beautifully decorated. The lobby and lounge area was very enjoyable. Our room was fine as well, just the walls let a lot of sound through. The surrounding area/neighborhoods did not feel so safe at night time, but the hotel itself was safe. It is close to public transport and about a 30 minute drive from the airport. There was a water refill station on the 5th floor which I highly appreciated. Would definitely stay again.

We had a lovely 3-night stay at the Marker San Francisco. The rooms were very spacious and nicely appointed especially for a building of its age. The hotel was conveniently located in Union Square which was very close to shopping and only a quick Uber ride to other points of interest such as Fisherman’s Wharf. The on-site Italian restaurant, Tratto, was great! There were also many other great restaurants and bars nearby. The hotel manager, Dhali, was AMAZING and all of his staff were excellent. They were extremely accommodating and friendly. Dhali, thank you so much for your hospitality! My mother and I were in town for a funeral and staying with you made us feel welcomed and at home.

Stayed at the Marker hotel for my first trip to California/SF. I can honestly say the stay was hassle free. Room was a standard queen facing center building. Overall it was clean, my only notation would be some of the surfaces were dusty (headboard and vent in bathroom) but nothing that I would find disgusting. Bed was decent nothing to rave on but comfortable enough. Staff Overall friendly and the hallway was always quiet and uneventful. Would stay here again and recommend giving them a shot.

Our experience with this hotel was extremely disappointing and raised serious concerns. We accidentally left our passports, cash, and a smartphone in the locked room safe and realized it about 24 hours after check-out. We immediately called the hotel and sent an email, followed by another email later that day. Despite having an entire day to locate and secure our belongings, we received no response to either email. When we called again that evening, we were told that nothing had been found. Since we were already several hundred kilometers away on a road trip, we had to change our plans and drive back to the hotel the next day. The room had already been occupied by new guests. Hotel staff refused to let us accompany them to the room or verify whether our belongings were still in the safe. After a lengthy and very questionable discussion, and only after we mentioned contacting the police and our consulate, a staff member suddenly produced our passports, cash, and smartphone from his jacket pocket and handed them over. We were relieved to recover our property, but the entire situation was handled in a way that felt highly unprofessional and concerning. The lack of communication, the contradictory statements, and the circumstances under which our belongings were finally returned left a very negative impression. We expected much better service and transparency from a hotel of this standard. Unfortunately, we were left with the feeling that helping us was not a priority.

We had a lovely time at the Marker Hotel. The room was spotless, clean and well-equipped. We were welcomed with two complimentary drinks. The hotel has a restaurant and a laundry service. Also, the place is well-located, next to many restaurants and public transportation which makes it very accessible and easy to visit the city. Special thanks to Charles and Claire who welcomed us wholeheartedly and truly made our stay special and memorable. Their professionalism really made us feel at home. We will definitely come back here next time we visit San Francisco. Thank you again.
