:*Outstanding Service & Exceptional Stay!* I had a truly wonderful experience at The Marker San Francisco. The hotel is clean, the rooms are spacious and well-maintained, and the amenities are excellent. But what truly sets this hotel apart is the incredible level of service. Prior my arrival and onward the moment I arrived, every request or question was handled immediately and with genuine care. My luggage was delayed by the airline, and the staff went above and beyond to assist — offering grooming essentials, tracking the delivery, and keeping me updated on its arrival. Even after I checked out, they continued to help me with a delayed mail item, without hesitation. This wasn’t just a one-time kindness from a single team member — the entire staff radiated a consistent, service-driven attitude. You can feel that customer care is part of the hotel’s DNA. Highly recommended, and I’d gladly return. Thank you to The Marker team for making my stay so smooth and pleasant.

Overall, it was a pleasant stay! The hotel is well-maintained, clean, and in a great location near Union Square. The room was a bit small and the A/C quite noisy, and we were missing towels on the second day — but aside from that, everything was fine. The real highlight was the front desk staff: Geo absolutely saved us when he let us change in the downstairs restrooms before our evening flight after a huge rainstorm, even though we had checked out earlier that morning. Really appreciated that level of kindness and flexibility — it made a big difference!

Everything was great at this hotel. Rooms were spacious, clean and in decent shape. Location is close to Union square. Front desk staff was personable. Other than zombies roaming the street all around, I would definitely stay here again. Side note, they cater to dogs are the offer bowls and beds.

We can warmly recommend this hotel. We were welcomed very kindly, and the hotel has a beautiful lobby with a cozy seating area and even a fireplace :). One of the reception staff even heated up a meal from the market for me in the microwave. As for the room, yes, it has gotten a bit older, but the bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. The placement of the fridge right next to the bed was well intended but too loud. The bathroom, well, it served its purpose. The location is great, very close to Union Square where the Big Bus and the cable car depart. From there you can get everywhere easily. Also Chinatown is nearby, and if you’re motivated, you can even walk to Little Italy, but that’s about a 20-minute walk. The location is perfect and much better than staying at Fisherman’s Wharf where you simply overpay for the room. We will definitely come back.

I spent 3 weeks at The Marker around Christmas time, as I was moving between places in San Francisco: the hotel was lovely and the decorations stunning, with a very convenient central location between Geary and Taylor Street (still on the good/safe side of the city for a lady). The staff made me feel right at home and took care of me as if I was family! I wanted to specifically thank Nessa, Melissa, and the other staff members for making my stay so pleasant and for making me feel so welcome at the Marker. The Hotel's Restaurant and Cocktail Bar were also really good: I could enjoy delicious pasta and drinks that reminded me of my home in Switzerland/Italy. I also really enjoyed the gym, which I could visit pretty often, and the cleaning service for clothes, that came in very handy during my long stay. Many thanks again for everything, and I hope that I can come to San Francisco soon to say hello!
