I recently stayed at The Lamai Samui with a friend and had a truly wonderful time! What stood out the most was the incredible staff—so warm, friendly, and genuinely caring. They made us feel right at home, like we were part of the family. We stayed in a pool villa and it was worth every penny—super clean, comfortable, and private. The staff took care of us in such a personal and thoughtful way, which made the experience even more special. I also tried the spa and had one of the best massages (and naps!) I've ever had. It was incredibly relaxing. I even got a manicure—something they don’t normally offer, but they kindly did it for me as a favor after I asked. That level of flexibility and kindness really made an impression. The pool was lovely, and there were guest activities too—we especially enjoyed going for a morning run around the area. Breakfast was decent; there’s room for a bit of improvement, but I really liked the bread selection and the hummus. And of course, we loved the Ocean Bar in the evening—that’s what we came for! Ocean breeze, coconut trees, and fresh air... absolutely perfect. Overall, it was excellent value for money and we will definitely be coming back!

We loved our stay here! The resort is beautiful, well-maintained, very clean and quiet. Kwan and his team took amazing care of us whilst making us feel like family. Nothing was too much trouble and the service was impeccable. The food was delightful, with a variety of special events offered. The Day Spa is beautiful and the treatments nurturing and professional. I used the gym every day. Our Luxury Escapes package was fantastic value, we would definitely stay here again 👍🏻🙏🏻🥰

A mixed bag from the Lamai. Compared to some other 5 stars in Koh Samui, it's very good value. However, you do tend to get what you pay for. The ocean view villa was fabulous and the best pool area we have had in years. Overall, it was a very authentic feel. However, the hotel is quite tightly and unusually built, so the other villa types are quite enclosed. It's got a nice vista over a public beach. The pool is good, but the service is a bit hit and miss - it's not quite poolside service. Overall, food and beverage is good too, and the staff are all very helpful and attentive. Worth a visit yes and would we return probably.

I recently stayed at The Lamai Samui Resort & Spa with my mother, sister, and nieces, and we had such a wonderful time. The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The atmosphere throughout the resort is peaceful and lush with greenery, making it a perfect place to relax and unwind. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming — their warm hospitality truly made our stay special. The location is also very convenient, just a short drive from both Lamai and Chaweng, making it easy to explore the area while still enjoying a quiet and serene environment at the resort. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway!

We booked this hotel for our honeymoon and we had a good experience overall. The room was really nice, spacious, and super clean. We had a private pool, which was amazing. The bathroom has a shower and toilet in open space (some people might not like that, but we loved it). The water temperature was a bit weird, it went from hot to cold in seconds without touching the temperature control. The bed was pretty comfortable overall. We slept well most nights. There are many birds in the resort, and you can hear them mostly at night. If you're a light sleeper, this might be an issue. We didn't have any issues with the mosquitos. We had a couple of diffusers, which helped us a lot. We appreciated the vibe of this resort. Many couples just relaxed at the pool, minding their business. This is not a resort for families with children, mostly because there are no activities for children. The breakfast was just average. There was an egg, waffle, and noodle bar, which was nice, but the eggs were undercooked every time. There were some options for fruits, bread, fruit juices, and not enough fresh fruits. Too many options for currys and other heavy foods that are not suitable for breakfast . The location of the hotel is okay, you have to walk a bit to the restaurants, but if you're looking for a place to relax, it's great. I wasn't too impressed with the food at the restaurant either, the prices were a bit high for what they offer, you can choose a restaurant in Lamai for lunch/dinner there. The service charge is included at the restaurant and I'm not really sure if the staff actually gets the tips I didn't like the fact that there was a happy hour on the pier, when I asked if we can have the drinks, one of the staff member said that the pier is closed (and is was actually closed for the whole stay). The staff was super nice and friendly and again, the housekeeping was the best . You can't really swim in the water, it was very shallow, but we didn't mind.
