We first stayed at The Danna back in 2023 when I was there for a training camp and had our best experience of a hotel stay ever. The staff were so genuine and kind to make our stay as comfortable as possible. What’s most heartening is the care and love they showed to our kids. Right from the moment we stepped into the hotel, to the kids club, and every moment of the stay, we simply felt so much at ease, not to forget the amazing food as well! So when I had to book a place to stay for Ironman Langkawi 2025, I knew we had to come back to this hotel again. Special mention to Mariko and Kevin who warmly welcomed us back, we simply feel back at home right away! And as I would have imagined, everything was taken care of from great food to helping me freeze my bottles till race morning. My kids, as always, had an amazing time playing with the friendly staff and in the kids club, throughout the stay. The team at The Danna is truly the nicest I’ve ever met. Amazing hotel, the grounds are immaculate, a serene atmosphere, vast yet empty beach nestled at the foothills of Gunung mat cincang. They have really nailed the colonial them. Staff are super helpful and go out their way to assist you. We got to the hotel really early, around 12:30, they had our room ready for 1:30. Very much appreciated after a 6am start that morning. Whilst checking in, you receive a welcome drink, cookies as well as a complimentary neck massage (which we politely declined). There’s a live band every night and a pianist at breakfast every morning. I booked the viceroy king room which gave us spectacular views of the sea as well as mountainous landscape. Would highly recommend. They also have a relaxing library room as well as a billiards room where you can order food to. Lastly breakfast was great, mix of buffet and a la carte. The a la carte menu included but not limited to french toast, dosa and roti canai so the choice catered for all palates. Best believe I more or less tried everything! Only gripe was that the aircon felt a bit underpowered!

Me and my family (2 adults 2 children) stayed for 3 nights at The Danna, a very warm, full of character and charm hotel. The staff and hospitality is second to none. The staff were very attentive, very friendly and easy to approach with a can do attitude. Rooms were comfortable, spacious and clean. Breakfast had a variety of buffet options along with some a la carte choices. The italian restaurant The Terrace had delicious food and deserts, Hakimi was very attentive and always had the biggest smile. A special thanks to all but namely the following staff who truly add value to The Danna: Fuad Hamzah - Resort Manager, amazing person and credit to Fuad for the amazing management of the hotel. Mohd Zureimy - Front Office Manager, again was a pleasure to meet and deal with. Nik Nur - guest relations, very attentive and amazing customer care Somjot, Amirul, Farhan, Wahieda and the rest of the staff really made the stay comfortable. A big thanks and we highly recommend to anyone visiting langkawi.

Beautiful hotel. Massive suites. Very comfortable stay and the pool area is the highlight, perfect for enjoying Malaysian weather. Breakfast buffet has good offerings of both local and western items. Courteous staff always ready to assist in any way they can. Managers come round to speak with guests. Live music daily at the Verandah lounge. Lovely piano music during breakfast. Nice spa facilities... got my nails done along with a 90 min full body massage. Hotel only 15 mins away to airport. I really have to highlight the effort from the chefs .... they really make excellent food. Everyday we ate so well. And many thanks to Mr Fuad and Ms Shakyrah for looking after us during our stay.

From the very first point of contact, we were greeted so warmly — the service was exceptional throughout our entire stay! We stayed in the 2-bedroom suite, which was spotless, beautifully presented, and had absolutely stunning views. The kids club was definitely our biggest highlight — it gave me a chance to relax while the kids had an amazing time being entertained and cared for. The pool area was fantastic too, with a dedicated kids’ pool and a main pool that was family-friendly all around. The food quality was outstanding! The breakfast buffet had everything you could imagine — from fresh fruit to a variety of international options. The croissants were a perfect 10/10! A huge thank you to Nik Nur, who went above and beyond every day to check in with us, offer feedback, and treat my children with so much kindness and care. We truly had an amazing stay and can’t wait to come back!
