We are leaving today after 8 nights at The Club Barbados and we honestly cannot think of one negative to say about it. I’ve just read a previous review who said it felt like a holiday camp - i’m shocked because nothing could be further from the truth! The food is top class - we haven’t had a bad meal the whole holiday. Every single member of staff is so friendly and happy to chat with everyone. The bar and waiting staff work so hard and always have a smile and a chat. Thanks to waitress Vembe for rescuing my phone that I left at breakfast! The pool area is beautiful and chilled. The 2 pool guys are great! The gardens are well looked after and our room was perfect with a lovely big balcony. There is a lovely lady working in the little hotel shop - but because the door is shut it always looks closed so we never saw anyone but us go in! Its a shame the beach was washed away in the storm a couple of years ago - you wonder if it would be worth them dredging the sand to make a beach again as that would be the only thing we can possibly think of that would improve the hotel for beach-loving people. It didn’t matter to us! This hotel has a lovely laid-back Barbados vibe and we really can’t recommend it enough. We went for Afternoon Tea at Sandy Lane hotel next door - and while it was beautiful there, we couldn’t wait to get back to The Club Barbados!! We have had a lovely holiday.

I traveled with ladies that we retired together and or worked with. There were 6 of us. We had the best time. The rooms were beautiful the pools and beach area was perfect. The food and drinks were outstanding. The people were so friendly and nice. We met a lot of nice guests too. The entertainment was good as well. It was a great vacation and a place I would like to come to again.

Visited for 10 nights with 5 others, and I enjoyed every second of our stay. The hotel itself is in a perfect location, with entry to the beach at the rear of the hotel, with stunning views of the very blue sea. The rooms are clean and spacious, but the hotel doesn't have any lifts, and so bedrooms on floors 2, 3 & 4 can only be accessed via stairs. This is unfortunate due to obviously having to carry heavy suitcases up to said rooms - particularly for the older visitors. However, there are friendly & helpful bellboys who will carry the luggage up for you. The food was delicious - there was great variety from both of the restaurants on site (sunset & Enid's). Don't really understand previous reviewers complaining about lack of flavour etc, as all meat cooked was cooked with plenty of sauces or seasoning, as were the rice/any pastas, and the bread was always lovely too. The bar & restaurant staff are fantastic - particularly Vinnie, Darius and Jermaine. They were attentive, polite and kept us amused throughout out stay and beside the pool. The restaurant staff were always lovely too. However, there was only one staff member who let down the resort and that was a woman on the reception desk. I was unable to get her name; however, her greeting when we arrived in the evening on our first night was dull, with no real enthusiasm and was more interested in being given a credit card. She was also incredibly unhelpful when checking out, which was an absolute mess around. Overall, the stay was brilliant. I would definitely visit again, and would visit for 10 nights again, if not more. Cannot fault the resort, the food or the location and would recommend to couples and groups of people alike. Would happily give 5 stars had it not been for the negative interactions with the woman at the front desk.

I can’t praise the staff enough. Everyone from the managers to the house keeping staff were all amazing!! The rooms were extremely clean, drinks were amazing, and the food was great. Everyone was pleasant and eager to help in any way possible. As I solo traveler safety wasn’t an issue. I felt totally comfortable at all times. Everyone answered any questions that I had. I had a wonderful massage at the spa. The drinks were amazing and the food was delicious. The atmosphere was awesome. Everyone from the coffee girl (sorry I can’t remember everyone’s names) the bartenders, and especially Bob and Rondo. These two gentlemen were especially sweet. Very gentlemanly 😊 I would highly recommend this place. Solo or not, it’s totally wonderful. I’m definitely coming back. I didn’t have a negative experience with anyone there. As beginning solo traveler safety wasn’t an issue. Day or night.They set the bar very high for my future solo travels.

Everything that Dacia the person that gave a review and one star was correct on all Accounts about the property and staff . The lengthy rebuttal from the place doesn’t surprise me because they have an excuse for everything as well as they just say sorry . They don’t offer any compensation or do anything to make up for poor service . The staff minus maybe 3 people are the worst staff at any resort I have been to. Management told me that they are rough on the outside and if we tried harder and cracked their shell they would come around and be nicer then. They were so rude to us and we never felt welcomed there . From the guy in the towel shed who yelled at me to the waitress who made us clear our own plates after eating because she was annoyed we were eating . The grounds are in disarray. We were led to our rooms by a back alley. Everyone is allowed to smoke all over the property. Our toilet clogged and the cleaning people left the dirty bleach rags on my husband’s clothes in the bathroom. We spoke to management several times and she had nothing to say but sorry. She seems to be in the wrong industry as you can tell no one respected her and nothing changed while there. People sit right out in front of your ocean view room by your patio- it is weird and uncomfortable . Everything was falling apart, the AC units were a mess and broken things. There is no beach . No pool service . We did everything we could to stay off property and had to pay so much to try and enjoy our vacation. We had three rooms! They did nothing to compensate us. When at the spa, which is really in need of updating they short changed my daughter with by an hour of service and still charged us and had to get it refunded . The quality of food is poor and it takes forever to get an order. It was a horrible vacation and feeling to be so unwanted at a place and such rude staff. I tried to get compensation from the company Elite Islands resort and they did nothing as well. The more reviews I read it is amazing to hear your excuses for what people write . People come back there that are old, smoke and are drunk. That’s why they like the place . It felt like staying at an assisted living center with cranky staff . There is no striving for anything there to change or improve . They have such bad attitudes and are not there to please.
