If you choose to go all inclusive, the programme generally consists of breakfast (8am to 10.30am), lunch (1pm to 3pm) and dinner (7pm to 9.30pm), all buffet style, served in the main restaurant. During meals soft drinks, beer, water and wine are usually offered. Locally produced alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks like water, wine, soft drinks, beer and spirits are usually served from 11am to 10pm (except during meal times).

Cliff Bay was exceptional in many ways. We stayed here for our honeymoon and showed up to an upgraded room and a bottle of chilled Champagne and chocolates waiting for us. The staff and service were top tier, the restaurants were world class and the view from the room was picture perfect and priceless. We travel often and honestly this may have been the best hotel we have ever stayed at. You definitely won’t regret booking here if you’re thinking about it.

5 star luxury hotel. The sunbathing are down by the seafront is outstanding. Fantastic restaurant at the lower sunbathing area. Rooms are very spacious. We had a sea view balcony which was a ideal place to enjoy some madera wine and relax. Spa with indoor outdoor pool is luxurious.

A bit out of the centre but that is more them made up by the service and the quality of the hotel. The seating area around the indoor pool is a real bonus as it gives you somewhere to sit even when it's not particularly warm outside. The rooms are large, very clean and comfortable. Perhaps the best thing about the hotel is the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. Excellent Breakfast I would definitely come back here. 😊

We just had an amazing afternoon tea for two on the terrace of the Cliff Bar of the hotel. We chose English Breakfast tea, the food being their delicious standard offering. The gardens of the hotel look wonderful, being Spring. Lots of palms and ferns with shrubs and planters. The hotel staff were very welcoming. A lovely way for us to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon in Funchal. A highly recommended experience.

We, family of 4, just came back from a 7 nights stay at The Cliff Bay hotel. It is simply an awesome place to stay. The rooms and decor are outstanding, views and scenery breathtaking and the service from staff in all departments are outstanding. We only had breakfast as we were out and about during the day, and explored various restaurants all over Madeira. The breakfast spread is really nice with lots of options. Highly recommended!
