We had our wedding ceremony at the reception hall of Tangerine Beach Hotel in June 2025, and it was truly a wonderful experience. From the very beginning, the staff supported us in many ways from planning the menu to arranging every detail of our big day. All the team members were extremely friendly, flexible, and helpful, making our wedding day truly memorable. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere created by the lighting inside the reception hall was beautiful. Our wedding was a ceremonial navy wedding, and the team was very cooperative in ensuring all navy traditions were perfectly followed, exactly as we requested. They were also very flexible with flower arrangements and other decorations. One big positive point was that the bar area and buffet area were separated from the main wedding hall, which helped maintain a smooth and elegant flow during the ceremony. We also stayed one night for our honeymoon at Tangerine Beach Hotel. The room was spacious, very clean, and well maintained, with a lovely beach facing view. The only downside we noticed was that the bathroom was a bit small. During our stay, the food served in the restaurant was great, with a wide variety of options and live stations. Overall, we would like to sincerely thank the management and staff of Tangerine Beach Hotel for making our wedding day so perfect and unforgettable. Highly recommended for weddings and special occasions!

A few weeks back, I stayed at Tangerine Beach Hotel. The most amazing thing I loved was the view from the balcony, the blue water and the beach. The view from both the balcony and the dining area is absolutely gorgeous. The staff were friendly, and the hotel offers a variety of activities. There’s a cricket ground, a tennis court, a gym and everything you need to stay entertained is there. There are a few things I hope the hotel improves. During meals, the eggs were not properly cleaned and were left for us to peel ourselves, which I didn’t like. The biggest issue for me was that there was no butter available. Despite being a 4 star hotel, only margarine was provided instead of real butter, and that’s something the management should seriously focus on. Apart from that, I had a great stay overall and the staff were good.

Kalitala - Dec 12 - Room 141 Low Ceiling Fan – Safety Hazard The ceiling fan in the room is very low and poses a safety risk, especially for children and taller individuals. There is a genuine chance of accidental injury. Kindly look into raising the fan height or providing an alternative solution. Water Bottle Opener – Improper Placement The bottle opener is kept inside the bathroom, which new guests generally do not expect. This becomes challenging, particularly in emergencies when quick access is needed. Please consider placing the opener near the drinking water or bottle area. Bathroom Tub – Not Suitable for Elderly Guests The bathtub in the bathroom is unsafe for elderly people as it increases the risk of slipping and falling. A walk-in shower or anti-slip alternative would be more appropriate. Dining Hall Experience – Staff Behaviour & Comfort Issues The Dining Hall Manager displayed undisciplined behavior when I changed tables due to uneven cooling in some anreas and no fans are available. Instead of assisting, he questioned the seat change and initiated an unnecessary argument. Requesting immediate corrective action to ensure better guest experience and staff professionalism. Well all is well. Your front reception and pool is perfectly placed and good place to stay.

Excellent experience with family at Tangerine beach hotel. Meals are superb, with a great variety for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Rooms are spacious, clean. Pool is large, 1.2m to 1.8m in depth. Pool bar offers a good set of beverages. Game room offers table tennis, carrom, chess.

Really enjoyed my weekend stay at the hotel. It’s a beautiful property and was a relaxing quiet holiday as we wanted it to be. The food was extremely tasteful and the staff was also very helpful and attentive. The pool with the bar area is a great way to spend the day time. It’s not the most modern hotel but that was expected when we booked it. Also it’s not far from Colombo so easy to get to. It truly was a lovely weekend and it gives a cosy vibe. Always will recommend if you want an easy get away with a welcoming feel. The Spa facility was great, we pre booked it and was a good experience. Only down side is there is no direct beach access due to the location.
