Really enjoyed my weekend stay at the hotel. It’s a beautiful property and was a relaxing quiet holiday as we wanted it to be. The food was extremely tasteful and the staff was also very helpful and attentive. The pool with the bar area is a great way to spend the day time. It’s not the most modern hotel but that was expected when we booked it. Also it’s not far from Colombo so easy to get to. It truly was a lovely weekend and it gives a cosy vibe. Always will recommend if you want an easy get away with a welcoming feel. The Spa facility was great, we pre booked it and was a good experience. Only down side is there is no direct beach access due to the location.

I enjoyed my stay at Tangerine Hotel. The property is lovely, the staff were friendly, and the food had good flavour. That said, the breakfast and buffet offerings would benefit from more variety, especially for plant-based travellers. The juices were basic and lacked freshness, and simple additions like peanut butter and soy milk weren’t available. Overall, plant-based awareness in Sri Lanka is still developing, and this hotel is no exception, though it’s worth noting that there are many delicious vegetarian curries. With a bit more focus on vegan/plant-based needs, Tangerine Hotel could offer a much more inclusive and elevated dining experience.

A Relaxing and Satisfying Day-Out Stay Our day-out stay was overall very satisfactory. The rooms were clean and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. We booked the couple package for around LKR 28,000, which included a welcome drink, a delicious lunch buffet, and evening tea with cake. The location was beautiful and peaceful, offering a truly relaxing experience with a friendly staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and hope to return again for a full-night stay soon.

We stayed here for 5 nights. Check in was efficient with a nice welcome drink. We had an unexpected upgrade to a junior suite which is on two levels and sleeps three. The grounds and pool and very well maintained, along with all the other communal areas. They're are enough sunbeds for all, and pool towels are on request and a swim up bar The rooms are large, clean and comfortable with all the amenities as described, including kettle, tea, coffee, shampoo, body lotion and soap. There are plenty of shops and restaurants, supermarkets within 5 minutes walk of the hotel. It's great to support other business whilst here. We visited Richmond Castle and temples whilst here too. We didn't do any river trips due to the cyclone. Breakfast was outstanding. Thankyou! There is was no beach when we visited... maybe due to adverse weather. But, the hotel has a nice protected stretch of sand for children to play. There is also a little children's play area, a kids pool. We also enjoyed the giant chess and complimentary afternoon tea. We would definitely visit here again.

We’ve stayed at many hotels across Sri Lanka, and Tangerine Beach Hotel is by far the best, and the only one we will be returning to again. The staff are incredibly accomodating and helpful, the rooms are clean and fresh, and the pool is spacious. The Ayurvedic Spa leaves you feeling like a freshly kneaded pile of dough (in the best way possible). The biggest highlight by far has to be the restaurant. The options are diverse and varied each day. The food is perfectly cooked and served at ideal temperatures. The wait staff are quick to clear tables and ensure your glasses are always topped up, no matter how busy the restaurant is. For those with a sweet tooth, the pastries and desserts served alongside lunch and dinner are both visually and gastronomically appealing - truly a 10/10.
