We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Tangerine Beach Hotel in Kalutara. The location is simply perfect — right on a magnificent beachfront with breathtaking ocean views and the soothing sound of waves throughout the day. It’s truly a paradise for anyone looking to relax and unwind. The beach is clean, wide, and stunning, perfect for long walks and watching spectacular sunsets. The atmosphere is peaceful yet vibrant, making it ideal for families, couples, or even solo travelers. What really made our stay exceptional was the outstanding service. The staff were incredibly warm, friendly, and attentive. From the reception team to housekeeping and restaurant staff, everyone went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Sri Lankan hospitality at its finest! The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with beautiful views. The food was delicious with a great variety of local and international dishes — something for everyone. Overall, Tangerine Beach Hotel offers the perfect combination of location, comfort, hospitality, and value. We highly recommend it and would definitely love to return again!

Recently visited for a night stay. Nice atmosphere. But the sea is rough that it marked as red flag so donot try going to the sea. Beautiful and peaceful atmosphere. Great place for a romantic date. The buffet is so great that you can have anything you want. We had a great time. Clean and nice service.

I stayed at Tangerine Beach Hotel a few months ago, and overall it was a pleasant experience. ♥ The hotel is beautiful and close to the beach. The green gardens and ocean view make the place feel calm and relaxing. The room was clean and cozy. ♥ The hotel has a large swimming pool, which is deeper than most pools in the area, and there is also a separate pool for kids. From the outside, the hotel looks very nice, with good landscaping, a stylish interior, and many great spots for photos. The food was good, and both the rooms and common areas were kept clean. The stay felt peaceful and comfortable. ♨ Things that can improve: Service organization could be better. Although the staff are friendly and polite, coordination is limited, and ⚠ food service can be slow even when the hotel is not busy. ⚠ With better training and management, the service experience could be much smoother. Overall: ♥ Tangerine Beach Hotel is a good place to relax, with a lovely location, clean rooms, and a nice atmosphere. With better staff management and faster service, it could be an excellent hotel.

One of the best old hotels in Sri Lanka. We loved their warm welcome and our entire stay was so great 👍 VERY friendly Staff and efficient. Clean and so comfortable with a large pool and outdoor activities and beautiful ambience with a touch of ancient Indian decor. The breakfast spread was so great with all kinds of varieties and taste. We stayed at Tangerine Beach Hotel from the third week of January 2026 in Room No. 406. The room had an excellent sea view and was extremely tidy and clean. Housekeeping was outstanding, and the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. A special thanks to Anusha, who handled our reservation and provided excellent service with great care and professionalism.
