A great resort, conveniently located by the beach, especially if you’re visiting with kids! Tried the beach side multi cuisine restaurant Caravela, and the food was top notch. The chef himself came in to ask if we needed anything and made sure kid friendly items are especially made even though they were not a part of the menu. Buggies (golf carts) are available to go from one point to another and while they have a little wait time, they were god sent for us for navigating the property in Goa heat with two kids in tow. It’s also a more accessible property than Taj Aguada fort one, which is right next to it on the beach, but is not super accessible because of its tiered layout and multiple stairs, despite having shuttle service within the property. Guests who book at either property can avail for the services at the other, which is also a highlight. Staff is friendly and courteous and treats kids with extra warmth. Would definitely recommend.

Date of stay: 27/10/2025 to 31/10/2025 Our stay at Taj Tal Village has been nothing short of a nightmare, and this is only Day 1 — we’re already certain we do not want to stay here any longer. Despite paying ₹76,000 per room, the service and hospitality have been appalling and completely unworthy of the Taj brand. We were handed our room keys at 5 PM, and even then, the rooms were still being cleaned. Our luggage took over 2.5 hours to arrive, leaving us stranded for more than 3 hours with a 1.5-year-old infant and four senior citizens. The staff showed no urgency, empathy, or sense of responsibility throughout. When we requested two simple rotis for the infant, we were told it would take 50 minutes — completely unacceptable for such a basic request. Later, when we asked for a pick-up from the resort, they sent two small cars for 10 adults, forcing us to literally sit on top of one another to get back. To make matters worse, we had pre-requested a cake and flowers in the room for my sister’s birthday — and even that was ignored. No apology, no accountability, and no effort to make amends. For a property that charges such a premium and carries the Taj name, this experience has been preposterous. The staff is disorganized, indifferent, and clearly undertrained to handle guests or basic hospitality standards. This is not the kind of experience or service one expects from Taj, and after today, we have lost all confidence in continuing our stay here. We demand accountability and a full refund for this unacceptable experience.

Disappointing Experience at Taj – Not Worth the 23K a Night We expected a seamless and luxurious stay at the Taj, but it turned out to be one of our most disappointing hotel experiences. To start with, we had a late check-in — though it was compensated with an upgrade to a “luxury” room, the problems began soon after. Late at night, we heard a strange mechanical noise in the room that went on continuously. For over two hours (past midnight), we tried to figure it out ourselves with no success. Around 1:00 AM, we finally called reception — the technician came, couldn’t locate the issue, and by 1:30 AM, we were moved to another room. To our shock, the “replacement” was nothing close to the upgraded luxury room — it honestly felt like a downgraded, cramped service room. After paying ₹23,000 per night, this was simply unacceptable. The problems didn’t stop there — service throughout the stay was painfully slow. Housekeeping forgot basic amenities like towels, and even for something as simple as a buggy or car request, we had to keep calling multiple times and wait endlessly. For a property of Taj’s reputation, the experience was a huge letdown. The staff was polite but clearly uncoordinated and inattentive. At this price point, you expect efficiency, comfort, and proactive service — none of which we experienced. Would not recommend, especially given how poorly they handled a night-time issue and the overall lack of responsiveness.

In my opinion, this is probably the best resort hotel in all of tropical India. Let us list it one by one - Rooms - These are vintage Goan style villas that have been converted into one of more luxury rooms. Super clean and very posh. Service - Absolute top tier service right from stewards, security, restaurant staff and chefs as well. Location - The location is why it feels justified paying a huge amount for the stay. Tropical Canopy in its huge campus, beautiful swimming pool and other facilities, the sea deck and direct beach access. Loved it and would definitely come back here when my pockets permit me to do so.

🌺 A Truly Memorable Stay at Taj Holiday Village Resort, Goa We checked in to Taj Holiday Village Resort (THVR) yesterday, and from the very first moment, it felt like we had entered a world of warmth, care, and unmatched hospitality. Almost every aspect of our stay — the service, activities, food, and interactions — went beyond expectations and made our visit truly memorable. The check-in process was quick and smooth, setting the tone for the rest of our stay. Raveena (or Ravena), who handled our arrival formalities, was exceptionally kind, patient, and professional. She ensured everything was perfectly arranged and made us feel genuinely welcomed. What stood out most was the approachability and proactiveness of every staff member we met. Whether it was the buggy driver, restaurant staff, or the duty manager, everyone greeted us with a smile, engaged with our kids, and went out of their way to make us comfortable. It was heart-warming to see how quickly our children connected with almost everyone around — something that rarely happens anywhere else. Our room was perfect in every sense — beautifully designed, spacious, and ideally located within the property. It seemed as though the room had been thoughtfully selected keeping our preferences in mind. Soon after check-in, 3–4 staff members from different departments came by one after another just to ask if we needed anything or if they could make our stay more pleasant. That kind of personal attention made us feel truly cared for. Later in the evening, we went out to visit Fort Aguada, which is nearby. When we returned, the THVR team had arranged a beautiful surprise for us — an extremely delicious cake waiting in our room! It was such a thoughtful gesture. The kids were thrilled, immediately started celebrating, and we ended up having a little party right there in our room. It was one of those small but special moments that stay with you long after the trip ends. The resort itself is stunningly beautiful — lush green lawns, well-maintained gardens, charming villas, and pathways that give it a distinct, tropical charm. It reminded us of the Savoy Hotel in Ooty, which is equally picturesque in its own way. While Savoy’s beauty is enhanced by its mountain weather and flora, THVR stands out for its vastness, landscaping, and thoughtful design. Every corner of the resort seems to reflect meticulous attention to detail. The Goan speciality restaurant was our favorite. The ambience was vibrant, the food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. Nisha, who took care of our table, deserves special mention for her warmth and attentiveness. She made sure every request, especially from the kids, was fulfilled promptly and with a smile. The beach access is another major highlight of THVR — it’s literally just a few seconds away. Our daily routine quickly became our favorite part of the trip: spending an hour or two at the beach, rinsing off at the designated area inside the resort, jumping into the swimming pool for another hour or two, and then heading for dinner. It felt so seamless and relaxing — the kind of rhythm that makes a holiday truly rejuvenating. The in-room dining and housekeeping services were exceptionally fast and efficient. Every request — whether for food, towels, or amenities — was handled promptly, usually within minutes. The staff consistently displayed warmth, efficiency, and genuine care. The next day, we rented a car from the resort for a four-hour trip, and again, the experience was excellent. The driver was courteous, punctual, and professional, and the price was lower than local taxis, which are often unreliable in Goa. It was refreshing to see such value and service consistency even in transport arrangements. Thank you, THVR team, for making our stay so special — from the welcome smile to 3 days stay, every moment was filled with warmth and care. We will leave with beautiful memories and the firm intention to return soon.
