This was our first stay at Taj Aguada, and I can confidently say it won’t be our last. Right from the moment we arrived, the warmth and professionalism of the staff stood out. There was a small hiccup during check-in, but what impressed us the most was how the entire team came together to ensure that the rest of our stay was absolutely flawless. That’s the true mark of great hospitality. A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Megha Bhatia, the General Manager, whose personal attention and leadership were clearly reflected in every aspect of our experience. Mansi at the front desk was kind, helpful, and made us feel instantly at home. I’d also like to acknowledge Rahul, Santosh, and Sanjeev, Jessyl, Dave, Manish, Kalicharan, along with several other wonderful team members whose names I may have missed but whose efforts did not go unnoticed. The property itself is immaculately maintained, with stunning views and beautifully landscaped gardens. But what truly sets it apart is the people. We were here to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and thanks to the Taj team, it became a memory we will cherish forever. In fact, we’ve now decided to make this an annual tradition — coming back every year to celebrate her special day at this very place. Taj Aguada has earned a special place in our hearts. Thank you for turning a simple vacation into an unforgettable experience.

Absolutely love this resort. The staff were very patient , welcoming and nice. As soon as we arrived at the place they played us a welcome song and gave us a drink. The cottages are spacious with a pretty view. It was very peaceful with a lot of greenery around and the beach. Definitely must recommended place to stay.

I usually do not leave reviews, but today I feel compelled to share my disappointment. I brought my elderly parents...both senior citizens....to Taj Fort Aguada resort with fond memories from my previous visit. I had celebrated my birthday at this very resort last year and was deeply impressed by its ambience and hospitality. That experience stayed with me, which is why I chose to bring my parents, hoping to create similarly beautiful memories with them. After having coffee at the resort cafe, I wanted to take my parents to the iconic private walkway that extends into the sea....an area I had accessed freely during my stay last year. This time, however, we were abruptly stopped by a security guard (whose name started with “N” but I couldn’t catch it). He flatly refused, saying, “No... ma'am. This access is only for in house guests.” While I completely respect resort policies and rules, I humbly explained that my parents are elderly and since they already walked down till the gate..it would mean a lot to let them go from there..I even requested him to make an exception just this once, considering their age. He showed no humility and asked me to speak with the reception. At the reception, I spoke with Mr. Rakesh and explained that since I had accessed the walkway last year as a guest, I mistakenly thought it would be open to those dining at the property as well. I assured him that had I known the access was restricted, I wouldn’t have requested it. But I still requested him, once again, just for the sake of my aging parents who were already there, hoping for that short walk. To my deep disappointment, even he didn’t allow it. Instead, they offered us a car ride to the public entrance. However, the walkway from the public side was too far, the weather was drizzly, and the route was completely unsuitable for elderly visitors. Our entire evening was ruined. I feel deeply saddened that a property of such repute and legacy showed no empathy toward senior citizens. Hospitality, at its heart, is about care and sadly, that was missing here. Just a day earlier, I had taken my parents to the Grand Hyatt Goa, and the difference in warmth, attention, and compassion shown by their staff was remarkable. The team at Taj Fort Aguada could truly take a page from their book. For a resort that prides itself on luxury and hospitality, it was extremely disappointing to be treated in such an impersonal and rule bound manner especially when it concerned senior citizens. I sincerely hope the management reflects on this and trains its staff to act with more humanity and sensitivity in such moments. I live in Goa..n I keep visiting five star properties here...I will definitely recommend Grand Hyatt over taj aguada any day.

Nice properly at a beautiful location. Courteous staff. Overall a pleasant experience. One thing that can be improved is their spa facilities which is outside the hotel premises. Furthermore, the spa and steam & saina rooms are on different floors. It is inconvenient to walk through the reception area in bathrobes. An in-house spa is essential in such a premium properly.

A Flawed Experience I have to acknowledge that Taj Fort Aguada, despite a flawed experience, is a stunning property with a superb location and breathtaking views from the room. The food was also good, and the hotel's ambiance was impressive. However, our overall experience was marred by a frustrating system glitch that left us anxious and disappointed. The Issue Upon calling the property the night before our stay (check in on 24 July) to request a room upgrade (no, it is not a disappointment post on not being upgraded. Taj on this count is definitely better than all other luxury hotels), it was discovered that two rooms were booked instead of one. Despite multiple calls to guest relations, reception, and central reservations, we were unable to get a clear assurance that the issue would be resolved without any additional charges. The central reservation agent was the only one who seemed to understand our concern and assured us that we wouldn't be double-charged, but he couldn't do anything from his end. The hotel staff were unable to provide any guarantee. I kept telling the staff that my booking confirmation very clearly states only one room was booked (fully paid in advance at the time of booking) and that none of my credit cards were guaranteed for the other room (without which the system wouldn't let me book, so it had to be a system error). The Resolution Fortunately, the issue was resolved politely and efficiently the next day. However, the experience left a sour taste, especially considering the premium we pay for staying at a luxury hotel. The lack of assurance and transparency from the staff was disappointing, and we felt that a hotel of this caliber should be better equipped to handle such situations. The Hotel Despite the glitch, the hotel's location, views, and food were superlative. The staff was friendly and helpful once the issue was resolved, and the property's charm and history were palpable. Verdict While Taj Fort Aguada has a lot to offer, the duplicate reservation issue and the subsequent lack of assurance from the staff were significant drawbacks. For a hotel of this standing, it's essential to have robust systems and processes in place to handle such situations. Until then, guests may face similar frustrations. Recommendation: If you're looking for a hotel with a great location and views, Taj Fort Aguada is a good choice. However, be aware of potential system glitches and ensure that your reservation is confirmed and verified before arrival. Preferably three days before check in, else penalties will kick in
