We had a very pleasant stay at Taj and overall it was a memorable experience, made special largely because of the wonderful staff. From the moment we arrived, we received the loveliest welcome from Alka at the reception. She was absolutely amazing! warm, attentive, and genuinely supportive throughout our stay. Even at the time of check-out, right until we drove away, Alka was there to assist us, which truly left a lasting impression. She is a real asset to the hotel. All the staff we interacted with were polite, courteous, and helpful, and we truly appreciated the hospitality. The hotel has a lovely pool, and the rooms were very comfortable and well maintained. We were also grateful for the complimentary room upgrade, as we were celebrating special occasions. The thoughtful gesture of sending a special cake, cookies, and chocolates to our room was a lovely touch and made our celebration feel extra special. Breakfast was yummy and enjoyable, with a good spread. However, when compared to other 5-star resorts and hotels on Palm Island, we do feel that Taj has some room to step up its luxury offering. The overall ambience, especially the outdoor areas near the pool and beach, felt a bit underwhelming for a 5-star property, though still perfectly fine and pleasant. Additionally, the Varq Indian cuisine restaurant did not quite meet our expectations and could be improved in terms of overall experience and quality. That said, thanks to the excellent service, especially from Alka, and the thoughtful gestures, our stay was warm, comfortable, and memorable. With some enhancements to ambience and dining, this could be an even stronger luxury experience.

One of the best hospitality experiences I have had. TAJ never lets you down. To begin with the reception desk was so warm and welcoming. Excellent room service. The restaurant Varq is amazing. Good food and amazing service from the Chef and the whole team. Beach and pool facilities were very good. Got to try their fruit lollies : you can’t stop at one. Overall we had a brilliant stay. Will come back again.

My mom and I had a fantastic stay here. The staff was amazing and very friendly and helpful. Our room was nice and had a wonderful view. Beach was very calm and clean. Yoga each morning was also great. We tried all restaurants at the hotel and each of them were great. Cakes at the cafe were also very good. Would definitely come back again.

We recently dined at the hotel- VARQ restaurant and had a truly pleasant experience. The dinner spread was excellent with a good variety of mouth watering dishes, great presentation and refreshing taste. Special appreciation and recognition for Chef Harshit Jain who served us with amazing dishes. He is a valuable asset to the hotel. What really made the experience memorable, however, was the exceptional hospitality from the staff. A special appreciation to Mr. Arjun whose warm service, attentiveness, and genuine care added a personal touch to the evening. Overall, it was a lovely dining experience, and the excellent service recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a comfortable dinner with great hospitality.

This is our third visit to Taj - I visited alongside my mother and sister both of whom require extra mobility assistance at times and this hotel always delivers to make our stay as comfortable and hassle free as possible. For this visit we were appointed a room on the third floor (#332) with a central view outside our balcony window. Whilst we would have preferred a larger suite (which we had in past visits) the room was an okay size to accommodate the three of us. The hotel has a few dining options to choose from - we ate at Varq - a modern Indian restaurant experience offering interesting and contemporary dishes. The staff always remember us as we visit often every time we stay at the hotel. We tried the dinner buffet restaurant but the atmosphere was a little lacklustre and I feel the dishes could be displayed with a little more creativity and flair. We stayed for the New Year’s Eve Gala which I must say had improved from last year’s effort - duplicate food stations from Asian to Arabic to global dishes around the world - were placed on either side of the dining table areas ensuring free flow of traffic and the band were exceptional - I was dancing all evening! The staff on the night did a fantastic job serving my Mum and sister food from the buffet. I would be remiss to not mention what truly sets this hotel apart and that’s the staff - a few names who made our stay memorable are Noor, George, Jacklyne, Nora, Sudir and all the chefs who made our tasty egg dishes for breakfast. Also our cleaner, Ankesh would always go above and beyond ensuring our room was thoroughly cleaned throughout our stay. Thanks for another wonderful stay!
