The service was truly memorable, and I’d like to specially thank: Chef Prakash Dubey for all the yummy food — every meal was a delight. Serving Staff Ektha and Sana at 24 Degree Restaurant for their warm, attentive service. Reshma at the Equator Bar for the amazing cocktails and great recommendations. Billa at Mediterraneo Waterfront for suggesting the food and for his outstanding service. Last but not least, Salah our host, and the Buggy staff for always being helpful and prompt. Had an absolutely incredible stay at Taj Exotica Resort & Spa Maldives, we spent 2 nights in a water villa and 2 nights in a beach villa, and both experiences were equally beautiful in their own way. The property is stunning, but what truly makes it special is the exceptional hospitality. A big thank you to Charu (Duty Manager) who went above and beyond to resolve a small issue for us late at night, even outside working hours - truly impressive dedication. Salah (Our Host) ensured our entire stay was smooth and comfortable, always attentive and kind. Salar from Housekeeping Team kept our villa immaculate every single day. Dining experience was equally amazing — Sana and Ekta at 24 Degrees were wonderful hosts, making every meal feel warm and personal. We also tried Mongolian cuisine, and Chef Mukesh was outstanding — the food was absolutely delicious. Special mention to Chef Luke for maintaining such high culinary standards overall. Taj Exotica is not just about luxury, it’s about genuine care and heartfelt service. Truly a memorable experience!

The resort is beautiful and well maintained, and the overall facilities and hospitality were good, as expected from a Taj property. The rooms, ambience, and service standards were up to the mark. Staff was exceptionally supportive and friendly especially mohammad jinan duty manager helped me alot with things However, the food experience was quite disappointing. For such a big and premium brand, the dining options were very limited. There was no buffet system, and indian food options were especially scarce. As a result, we had to repeat the same dishes every day, which became monotonous.

The hospitality and service surpassed anything we could have imagined — exceeding every expectation in the most regal and gracious setting. One doesn’t fully appreciate the humility, warmth, and natural hospitality of the Asian spirit until experiencing it so personally. Every detail was meticulously considered. From the reception desk to the drivers, from the waitstaff to the bartenders and restaurant teams — each person went above and beyond to make every moment feel effortless and welcoming. Would like to shout out for Simo & Jinaan (our liasions), chef Prakash & Luke; bartenders Ritesh, Raja & Bilal. The spa was extraordinary, the masseuse were beyond excellent.

We stayed for 9 nights in April 2026 and had a fantastic time. We originally booked a deluxe water villa but got upgraded to a sunset beach villa with pool. Huge space with garden and private beach access. Just amazing! The staff was extremely friendly and supportive. The food fantastic - the kitchen of the 24 degree Restaurant has a huge variety of Asian foods from 6 different Asian countries. And they all tasted authentic. Extraordinary! They have two beach bars, and funny enough the same drink would look and tase different depending on where you ordered and who prepared it. Prices for alcohol are sky high, but that seems to be understandable in a normally alcohol free Muslim society where more or less everything needs to be imported. But a little more consistency in the way services are delivered would be good, otherwise as said before, wonderful staff! Due to the conflict in the Middle East and flight cancellations the hotel lost many bookings which was a shame and undeserved! On the more negative side due to the proximity to Male airport (20 min. boat ride) there can be aircraft noise at times, which we did not expect. The resort is old and is aging, even so there seems to be permanent renovation under way. Internet was everywhere and sufficient. Our first room was really worn, but the beach villa in excellent condition. It did not really matter to us and there was zero construction noise. As in many 5 star hotels I don’t understand the pricing policy. As an economist by education it seems they don’t understand the concept of price elasticity and are setting the price point where demand is close to zero. 250 USD for 1 hour shark snorkeling with 10 min boat ride or up to 400 USD plus taxes for a 60 min Spa treatment, crazy! We come from Switzerland the most expensive country in the world, and if a massage costs nearly 3 time's compared to what we pay at home, something makes no sense. Shame because we enjoyed the only treatment we had, as well as the snorkeling but not surprising to our knowledge Spa was mostly empty and not many people used the dive center. Unfortunately due to global warming the coral around the resort are bleached and only little recovery visible. But still possible to see some fish. So to summarize not everything is perfect but the little “negatives” did not matter too much to us and we had an unforgettable stay! Would always consider coming again!
