A Mixed Bag of Luxury and Warmth at Taj Sri Lanka I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Taj Bentota Sri Lanka, and I must say, the experience was a mixed bag. While the rooms are in dire need of renovation (a minor setback in an otherwise grand setup), the scenic views from our room were simply breathtaking. The vistas of the Indian Ocean were awe-inspiring, and we found ourselves mesmerized by the beauty of the surroundings. However, what truly made our stay exceptional was the warm hospitality of the staff, particularly our Indian chef, Dilip. He was an absolute delight, treating us like family and going above and beyond to ensure our culinary experience was nothing short of exceptional. His warmth and dedication to his craft were evident in every dish he prepared. The management's commitment to providing a luxurious experience was evident in the attention to detail and the effort they put into making our stay memorable. From the impeccable service to the stunning views, everything came together to create a truly unforgettable experience. The breathtaking views, warm hospitality, and exceptional service made our stay at the Taj Sri Lanka truly special. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious getaway. We had our wedding celebrations at Taj Bentota Resort & Spa, Sri Lanka in July 2025, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience! From the beautiful venue setup to the delicious food, warm hospitality, and exceptional attention to detail — everything exceeded our expectations. The entire team went above and beyond to make our special days perfect. A special thanks to Ms. Rochelle (Sales Manager) and Mr. Mahinda (Duty Manager) for their constant support and coordination. Also, heartfelt appreciation to the Head Chef and the Kitchen Team for the amazing food, and the Housekeeping Staff for keeping everything spotless with such care. My husband and I recently stayed at Taj Bentota Resort & Spa in Sri Lanka, and it was a truly wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the excellent hospitality and the attentive care provided by all the staff. Being pregnant, I received extra attention, and everyone went out of their way to ensure my comfort, which I deeply appreciated. A special mention to Chef Jasver Singh , who personally came to me and offered to prepare anything I liked, despite the wide variety already available in the buffet. He even prepared special dishes just for me—a truly thoughtful gesture. The food overall was delicious, with an impressive variety and live cooking stations that made each meal enjoyable. The staff’s warm behavior and attention to detail made our stay very memorable. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious getaway. We had such a fantastic experience that we will definitely be returning!

A truly beautiful hotel right by the beach. The staff were amazing, everyone was warm and friendly giving a 5 star experience. We ate in all the restaurants and the food was superb, always hot, tasty and great quality. They took food allergies seriously too. We spent two wonderful weeks at this hotel and cannot speak highly enough about our experience, especially about the service. From the very first day until the last, we felt warmly welcomed and incredibly well taken care of. The level of service was outstanding – every staff member went out of their way to ensure that we had the perfect holiday. A very special thank you goes to Janaka from the gym, whose friendliness and professionalism made every workout a pleasure. Our room boy Chandimal was simply amazing – always attentive, polite, and making sure our room was spotless and comfortable. At the pool, Kannangara and Disanayaka were absolutely fantastic – always ready with a smile, helpful, and making sure we had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our time. And also the entire breakfast and dinner team did an absolutely great job! It is this kind of genuine warmth and care that makes a stay truly unforgettable. We left with beautiful memories and the feeling of having been part of a big family! We are looking forward to coming back!
