I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Taj Hotel in Bentota, and it exceeded all my expectations. Nestled right on the stunning Bentota Beach, the location is perfect, offering breathtaking views and a tranquil atmosphere. The beach is just steps away, and lounging by the pool with a cool breeze and the soothing sound of the waves was pure bliss. Having stayed at other Taj properties in India, like in Udaipur and Mumbai, I was curious how this one would compare. I was pleasantly surprised! Although the hotel is older, it shines with exceptional service. The staff here are truly outstanding—always attentive, warm, and eager to go the extra mile. From the chefs ensuring personalized meals to the management and personal trainers, everyone here is dedicated and passionate about making your stay memorable. The attention to detail and genuine hospitality make this hotel stand out. Plus, the pricing is more affordable compared to its Indian counterparts, making it an excellent value for the luxury and service you receive. I highly recommend the Taj Hotel in Bentota and look forward to returning in the future.

We hade a lovely holiday. The kindpussar weve got from the staff was so Nice. A special thank you to Milton. He was always making sure that we hade everything we needed in our room. And it was clean and cosy! Thank you Dilan for bringing me diet pepsi and making sure that we hade a table. We will remember that! A little bit sad that we got a small room with an extra bed when we were 4 persons. I told that to the reception multible Times but nothing happend. The beach was Great. I highly recomend this hotell Best wishes Misjah

From the check in experience onwards we were treated to a luxury and pampered feel which we were looking forward to. We checked in early and while our room was being arranged, we were guided to the lounge where tea and afternoon snacks were given complimentary while we had the view of the sea - beautiful. Once settled into our garden view room (which has a lovely sage-green and dark wood design, clean and had no visible wear - well maintained), we explored the resort. Walking around was fun and felt like a true resort, having made it through the pool, beach, fitness centre (which has a sauna and steam room for each gender!). We had early dinner with a beach view from the Palm restaurant on the ground level, then after sunset proceeded to use the pool which is a wonderful size for doing laps through, and even has water polo nets! We rounded off our evening in the resort's sauna's in the fitness centre then ordered desserts via room service (prices in the menu were already tax and service inclusive), which allowed us to have a peaceful night. In the morning we enjoyed the lavish breakfast buffet where we had the opportunity to meet some of the lovely folks in the F&B team, our server Asiri, the live-chef Mahi, and the manager Tharupathi. - Asiri was extremely attentive and made sure that we had everything we needed during our breakfast, he went above and beyond with the care we received and we felt true Sri Lankan hospitality in his service. - Chef Mahi made a dish for myself which was not on the table (Milk Hoppers) and served us freshly sliced mango which was not available on the buffet selection - he care felt that he truly loved making guests happy with food. Last, - Tharupathi made sure that we were extremely happy with the experience and spent the time to converse about our travels in Sri Lanka - we wish we had stayed longer to have gotten to know him and his team better. We would higly recommend this resort to family and friends of all ages to soak in the beauty and tranquility of Bentota in the West Coast

I had a great holiday at Taj Resorts and Spa Bentota. Mainly picked it based on the food reviews and yes the food is great. I was extremely pleased with the overall service and the amenities. The pool was excellent and many activities to do for both adults and kids. As much as I enjoyed the food, the gym and spa was the icing in the cake. A special thank you to Niroshan, kashmi and Menaka at the gym for making sure I had a well balance holiday that made me indulge in all the good things the hotel had to offer. Looking forward to getting back for another awesome holiday.

We had a fantastic stay at Taj Bentota Resort & Spa with our kids. The property is beautiful, clean, and very family-friendly. Our children loved every moment and were constantly entertained. A heartfelt thank you to the reception team for the thoughtful surprise of soft toys for our kids – it truly made them happy. A special mention to Chef Dalip Singh and Kamal from the service staff, who went above and beyond to make our meals comfortable and ensured our family was taken care of throughout. Staff at the pool bar also took great care of us with attentive and friendly service. Every staff member we met was warm, welcoming, and professional. We felt genuinely looked after from the moment we arrived. Overall, this was one of our most memorable and relaxing family getaways. We highly recommend Taj Bentota and look forward to returning!
