You know it’s not going to be a good experience when the seats in the hotel lobby are worn to pieces. This was the first warning sign that the 4 star hotel we had booked, was not what was advertised. We booked two rooms for our family, for a week in October, and this was a big mistake. The hotel is very rundown. It was probably 4 star 20 years ago, but now for an all-inclusive it’s more like a 2 star at the most. Our room door could have been easy broken into as the main panel was loose. Exposed wires in the bathroom, and floor flooded when taking a shower. The rooms were filthy and never cleaned. Airco didn’t work. The toilets in the main building were disgusting. The arcade games didn’t work, pool table badly worn. There was no children’s entertainment. We spotted a sign for Mountain bikes on the side of our building, but the staff had no clue about this at all. The food was bad - the worst we’ve ever had. The beer just about drinkable. So after a few days we started to eat out. That’s when we found out that the hotel is well known by the local Greek people as having a bad reputation. The list of things wrong with this hotel is endless and all the negative reviews are accurate. I’ve no idea how it gets any positive reviews. It’s such a shame because it’s got a lot of potential being right on the beach, and we had a great view from our balcony. Avoid at all costs.

We stayed here for 10 days, while the location of this hotel is very nice the hotel itself it is nice but it’s abit run down, we got upgraded to the section that had been built in the past 2 years, while it was nice when you first look at it we had a few problems straight away the door wouldn’t shut properly, we had a light that would sit opposite the bed that wouldn’t turn off and it would flicker so we rang reception and they said they didn’t have any electricians in the hotel that day so they sent the security guard up and he tried his best but we was left with a open wire hazard and we had a 2 year old with us so you could imagine we wasn’t very happy about it thankfully the electrician came the next day and fixed it, bathroom tiles had pieces falling off them, bed sheets had holes in them and they also gave us a moldy dusty travel cot to use. Looking at the positives we did enjoy our stay here the location is great plenty of shops and bars around the hotel, €20 euro taxi to Rhodes old town each way, pools are great, food and bars are nice I would recommend going for a few days. We had a late flight at the end of our trip and in reception is a sign that states they require 2 days notice and a €50 charge if we want to check out of our room later so I went 2 days before and they responded with “we would need to come back on the day we left before 9am to see if we could have the room” so while I wasn’t happy about it given a sign right next to the reception desk states they require 2 days notice I go to reception on the day we left and they said no we couldn’t have the room but we could have another room I just didn’t see the point in packing all our stuff up to move to another room then having to pack our stuff up again so I left it but was frustrated as the sign says otherwise so they wasn’t very accommodating in that section.

Decor worn but acceptable. Need to use double sheets on the beds as they only use singles and it's a pain. Rooms and outside are kept very clean though. Staff great, all friendly. Pools are great. Food passable, always hot,so that's a bonus.. A great week was had. Expensive to go into Rhodes town though, 18 Euros each way.

We would also like to thank the Hotel Director and the management team for providing the training room, arranging lunch boxes whenever needed, and for their kindness and support during the welcome drinks before our gala dinner at Mamma Mia restaurant. Your professional service, personal approach, and readiness to help made our stay truly memorable. Every request was handled with a smile and full dedication. It is the people like you who create the heart and soul of Sunshine Rodos – warm, caring, and genuinely hospitable.

Overall quite a good Hotel. Swimming pools were lush clear blue. Food and drink available. Food bit basic so lived of spaghetti colognes most of week. Grab your a la carte Italian meal which was excellent. Mostly skipped breakfast. Adapted for disabled but sometimes long way round the easiest. 20 euro to old town each way a must. New town not much in it to say youre abroad. If disabled get family room as showers good for 2 people. Our travelling companions said there room had a coffin for a shower
