We are a Family of 4 who stayed there for a week in mid August with rooms 453 and 455 This very obviously doesn't deserve a 4 stars rating (which we suspect to be either expired or fraudulently acquired). Upsides are the proximity to the beach & sea, and the pools; also the friendliness of the guest-facing staff and their good level of foreign languages Most other things are downsides; particularly the food which is either bland or plain disgusting even for the greek specialities apart from the fruits (but there are not many to chose from). It's very clear that they put the very cheapest items they could for everything; Including the drinks which are too sweet. For example, we checked a sample of food, and found that some would be illegal to sell in France. Closing hours are too early (pool closing at 18:00, every dinner's plates removed from 21:00, even deserts) The beach and sea never closes but there are also never been a single lifeguard at the beach in the whole week (they are at the pools). Also some sunbeds are broken and never repaired Appliances are old and dated. The bathroom doors, the fridge, and the A/C (at slow speed) can get noisy The neighborhood in itself is quite bad compared to what's in Rhodes; Rhodes city is at ~20m drive The quality of the guests varies. There are a few unmannered and dirty people. Some families so fat we witness for the first time they needed multiple sunbeds for each person There are planes flying above very often. You will hear around a few dozens a day (including night). There are not so inconvenient during the day but during the night, I believe it would be hard to sleep for some I am quite confident they are absolutely aware that most of the guests would never come back but don't care since Sunshine took their money already

The hotel is very large and offers an all-inclusive experience, which is great for families or groups looking for plenty of options. However, there are a few things to keep in mind. The cocktails and drinks are very sweet and not of high quality—more sugar than flavor. The rooms feel quite old and could really use some renovation. Also, the swimming pools and activity areas are spread out too far from each other, which makes it inconvenient to move between them. Some of the rooms are also located far from the main dining area, which can be tiring, especially in hot weather. Overall, it’s a decent stay if you like large resorts, but some improvements are definitely needed in terms of food and drink quality, room conditions, and layout.

Wonderful Stay – Exceptional Staff Care I stayed at this beautiful hotel and was truly impressed. The view of the sea is stunning, the food is both rich in variety and absolutely delicious — definitely top marks for the cuisine! What made the biggest impression on me, though, was the incredible care and kindness of the staff. I unfortunately suffered from heatstroke during my stay, and they looked after me so beautifully. A gentleman standing near the restaurant, probably part of the security team, fanned me with a hand fan for half an hour. The manager even called me personally in my room to check on how I was doing. I’m deeply grateful for their help and compassion. Thank you so much to the whole team!

Definitely NOT a 4 star hotel!! (Rated 4* in 2012 btw). Positives: most of the staff are really friendly and do their best to make you feel welcome, this is despite all the odds up against them! The location is great and is really close to the beach. Their al la carte restaurant Mamma Mia was the one good meal we had at the hotel. Negatives: the food was really poor, the quality isn’t there with the food being bland, only fatty cuts of meat and there being a limited choice of food, within a couple of days you’ve seen everything at the buffet which gets boring fast. The rooms are outdated, our bathroom flooded after every shower and the shower was no longer bolted to the wall. The air con was also broken in our room. The beds were like laying on an ironing board with a pillow for each of us which felt like you were laying straight on the mattress. Unlikely to be the best bed for somebody who has back pain. Also will note not all the arcade machines work and will take your money but the hotel are not able to access these so just take your money! In summary: staff are friendly and do their best but the hotel needs a lot of work and the food seems to be very cheap and needs work!

Very friendly and service-oriented staff. Very good location. The food wasn’t great – bland and boring, but as expected from previous reviews and for an all-inclusive hotel in this price range. There was a daily fight for the sunbeds in the morning. It’s important to get up early and place your towel to reserve a spot before others wake up. We were lucky and got “upgraded” to the newest hotel at the very back of the area, with its own pool and pool bar. The room was very good, but the beds were extremely hard. I had trouble sleeping and had to turn every 10 minutes due to pain, but my wife managed just fine. The downside of this room was that it was a bit farther to walk to the beach and other facilities, and there was some noise from the nightlife in the town behind, but we quickly got used to it. The air conditioning in the room was excellent. The à la carte restaurant was a big disappointment. You can easily skip it. It had more of a cafeteria feel. The waiters were more focused on cleaning up than serving. When the food finally arrived after a long wait, it was lukewarm. Overall, the hotel met the expectations we had beforehand. There should have been snacks available after 4 PM at the pool bar – this was something we missed. Something salty to go with the beer and drinks. The hotel appears a bit worn. We were impressed by the cleaning staff, who worked late into the night to prepare the pool and beach area for the next day.
