This hotel was one of the best I've ever been to. I wasn't expecting any luxury, but it was luxury. The incredibly nice lady at the reception greeted us with a smile and explained everything, answered all our questions, and checked us in at 12 noon, even though check-in was from 3 pm. The breakfast and dinner were fabulous, I think everyone can choose. It was quite strange that there was no drink included in the price of dinner, but that's apparently common in Greece. We were having a problem with the air conditioning after 10pm and the hotel owner came within a few minutes and quickly fixed everything. The owner even tried to speak Czech with us, which was a very pleasant and very nice gesture. The rooms were cleaned regularly. The staff was helpful. From the lady at the bar, the waiter, even the cleaners. The only negative thing was that when we asked for breakfast to be packed, because we were going on a trip, the lady at the reception brought us a really small portion for two people, it wouldn't have been enough for even one of us. I'm not the type of person who would regularly go to one hotel, but I dare say that I would happily return to this hotel.

We spent 11 days at this hotel. Overall, the stay was nice, but there are several things that could definitely be improved. Room: the room itself is good and comfortable, but the cleaning is not always thorough — sometimes it feels like it’s done just “for show.” Shampoo and soap are provided only once upon arrival, after that you need to buy your own, which seems strange for a hotel of this level. Towels are changed only once every three days, which is quite inconvenient, especially if you spend a lot of time at the pool or beach. It would be much better if such basic things were available upon request rather than on a strict schedule. Food & bar: the food is tasty, not always very diverse, but the quality is great. The bar was a pleasant surprise — the cocktails are delicious and reasonably priced, which is a big plus. Overall: the holiday was good, but the service issues did spoil the impression a little. If the management pays more attention to cleaning, towel changes, and small details like toiletries, the hotel would be much better.

I stayed at this hotel for a week! Everything was excellent! The rooms are clean, spacious, and modern! The pool is spotless! The food is very good, and no matter what you like to eat, you’ll find something! We arrived on the first night after midnight, and we were served something from the previous dinner—very thoughtful! The staff is very friendly and helpful with any information, and they serve you with pleasure! The drinks are amazing, all the cocktail recipes are delicious—this hotel is the perfect location if someone wants to visit the island of Crete. Everything is top-notch!

Have just spent another week in Bali, Greece, at this hotel and it has again given us the relaxing chilled holiday we wanted. That is why we have returned 5 years on the trot! I’ve read some of the negative reviews and whilst I accept this may not be the place for everyone people should give a fact based review, and sadly many haven’t! This is a 4* boutique hotel and is not, and never has been All inclusive. Expect to pay for your drinks and lunch but breakfast and evening meals are catered for. There are variations but again, it may not be to everyone’s liking but the offering is tasty, fresh and covers both vegetarian and meat options aplenty. If you fancied something different, there are a number of fantastic local tavernas with a different offering, all very very good!! The team will always do what they can to help but they won’t tolerate rudeness, why should they? I’ve seen many people act rudely to the team and the owners, and not like the answer they were given and then give a bad review. This isn’t fair on the team. The location i literally 10 minutes from 3 good quality beaches too, and a hire car gets you out and about if you need to. All Offered by the hotel too. The rooms are modern, the hotel is clean and the food is fresh and varied. Bali is a lovely place to visits and Sunset is a great place to stay. Trust the positive reviews as I’ve actually seen and met the people who have given ridiculously negative reviews and they expect everything for free and are rude with it. Trust the majority guys!!

Advantages: 1. Great location between two main beaches and a grocery store nearby. 2. Nice view both from the restaurant and a room. 3. Very friendly service at the bar. 4. Nice food choice at the breakfast and dinner. Disadvantages: 1. The cleaning quality was below average. 2. There are strange rules for using the pool - 7 AM to 7 PM only. Then they switch on some lamps and filters, so it can be dangerous for your health. 3. It is hard to choose a room based on the pictures. We wanted to book a room with a shared pool on the first floor near the bar. But turned it that its name is "Shared Pool" not "Swim Up" - don't make the same mistake as us. 4. We had an early excursion one day and ordered a breakfast to the room. The breakfast was terrifyingly poor - only cakes, cookies and some toasts with jam and butter. 5. The checkout is at 11 AM, and you can still use the pool after that, but the shared shower room was always occupied by other tourists. 6. At the end of our stay our friends found several cocktails added to their bar bill that they've never ordered. Also, be aware that the cocktails missing in they system they add to the bill under another name. At least, it's the story the barman told us.
