We had a fantastic short break in Jan 2025. Weather was fab for January and the hotel was amazing. This was our 2nd visit and it was briliant, prefect trip to relax and recharge. Highly recommend booking directly with hotel. They really looked after us as we arrived early and we got a lovely treat in our room. Really looking forward to coming back again soon.

We've been at Sunset Beach Hotel in Benalmádena for a New Year's Eve gala party, but it was far from a "gala party". To start the party was where they serve breakfast (small square tables without table cloth 🤔). They gave us a table at the families with children, when we were clearly all adults. I was the only one at the table to order a rosé wine, but instead serving the wine and taking the bottle to a fridge to keep it cool, they left the bottle at the table, so I had to drink a warm rosé wine.. not pleasant at all! I hope my message help the hotel to rethink their New Years Eve gala dinner y that more people know beforehand which type of experience they may have. 😓

We booked it as a four star hotel. However it didn’t meet our expectations. The room itself was nice, however service lacked knowledge about hotel itself. The promised wi fi with direct booking was not available. In the windy nights the windows and glass doors let the wind through and it was rather clad in the room. The kitchen was ok but the cockroach was in the counter. I highly DO NOT recommend food in the hotel restaurant as it was law quality and problematic to find decent healthy options. The establishment was positioned as “no smoking” however other guests smoked next to the swimming pool by the kids playground which made it hard for us to enjoy. Overall the hotel is not awful but definitely not doe the money charged. Wouldn’t go back.

Great location with lovely veiws. Very big and busy hotel even in winter. Maybe too many people in summer and waiting for lifts was an issuse in winter. Could feel overcrowed. Wifi was poor. However would still consider as lots of positives.

We’ve stayed many many times but this stay in low season was very disappointing. When we checked in this time, the reception team was less than adequate in my opinion. She was not helpful and made us feel our booking would not be honoured despite calling ahead to confirm. No apology for distress either once she found booking which was a terrible way to start our holiday in my opinion. The cleaning staff too were ever uphelpful when asked for simple help with using our keycard which adds to an air of being anti guests in my opinion. Finally, all the children pools were closed for the duration of our stay (3/4) and we weren’t informed of this when booking as we booked direct and we were told the tour operators had been informed. We shouldn’t have booked direct in my opinion.
