A Slice of Paradise! Sunset at the Palms Resort exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome—absolutely excellent service all around. The tropical atmosphere is stunning and so unique, it truly feels like you’re in your own private paradise. The food was delicious, and every detail of our stay was just perfect. We met some amazing people during our time there, which made the experience even more special. If you’re looking for the perfect place to relax, unwind, and soak in a gorgeous beach with breathtaking sunsets, this is it. I can’t recommend it highly enough, and I hope to return very soon!

My partner and I enjoyed the experience and vibe at Sunset at the Palms (SatP). It is a more relaxed and laid-back vibe, so if you are looking for more of a party/excitement feel, I’d look elsewhere. With that being said, a lot of the magic of being at SatP comes from the staff. There were too many to remember, but here are a few that stood out. Alison and Cornelius (Mr Fixit) made our experience at the Lotus Leaf Restaurant exceptional. Brittany and Nadine at the pool/swim-up bar made excellent drinks. The morning wasn’t complete without a visit to Carleen at the coffee bar and finally Delany (easy peasy) for keeping us settled/relaxing at the beach and pool. The food at SatP was very good. The breakfast and lunch were pretty standard. Breakfast was more of a brunch-style buffet. They usually had a local dish such as salt fish w/ ackee or callaloo, and I always that those were worth trying. Lunch was more sit-to-order with sandwiches, burgers, and some form of daily special. I ALWAYS got the soup each day. I never asked what it was, I just got it because the soups were excellent every day, so don’t skip the soup! In my opinion, the food shone at dinner. My recommendation is to try and book as many nights at the Lotus Leaf and the Chef’s tasting as your stay allows. We ate at the Lotus Leaf 3 times, the menu didn't change, which allowed us to try different items each time we went. We only did the Chef’s tasting once, but would have done it again had the next session not been booked already. For our Chef’s tasting, Chef Bridget handled the appetizer, which was coconut shrimp and soup. Capt Kirk had the entrée, which was a chicken roulade stuffed with seafood medley and a pork roulade with callaloo and salmon and a fruit salsa. Dessert was done by Shanique and that was a bacon wrapped and brûléed banana w/ a scotch bonnet sauce…the perfect blend of sweet, salty, and spicy. I got a spa treatment, which Petulia did an excellent job with. We met a lot of wonderful people staying there and we 100% plan to go back (and get our green bracelets) in the future. If you are looking for a truly relaxing experience set in a botanical garden, this is the resort for you.

Came back for a second visit January 21-28, as we loved it last April 2024. Better weather in January (cooler), but be sure to take your bug spray to the beach! This adults only resort is absolutely wonderful - excellent staff and service, fantastic food, gorgeous jungle surroundings; beautiful beach is across the road from the resort, and a crossing guard ensures your safety. There are clean, modern washroom facilities at the beach, plus a beach bar with more great food. Never a problem getting a lounge chair at the beach or by the pool. Sunset is a boutique resort, so even at full occupancy, it's never crowded anywhere, and no lineups for food, which is delicious and never disappoints. A good idea though, is to grab your beach/pool towels in the morning, as it can take awhile for the staff to replenish the supply, due to guests not returning used ones. (Shame on those guests!) The clean, comfortable, charming treehouse "standard" rooms are the same as the "deluxe" rooms, only difference is that they are closer to the road, which can be noisy. Earplugs solved that problem for me! Many guests we met had been there multiple times, and we will be back again. Highly recommend for a relaxing vacation!

Our visit was in June 2024. My boyfriend and myself loved it here! The staff were amazing! Food and drinks were good for an all inclusive. Very chill quiet if you want a party this is not your spot, while traveling I like to have a quiet home base. If we want to party we can find one 🙌🏻 if you are a traveler you understand this concept We had a great time! We will be back.

Our first trip to Jamaica became a wonderful memory thanks to this resort. The resort is well-maintained, and the staff are professional and friendly. The buffet and restaurant food were especially excellent. The private beach right across the street is beautiful. I can see why so many guests choose to return here. P.S. The Blue Mountain coffee sold on the resort’s private beach was all burnt beans. Be cautious of a few scammers.
