We just got home from our visit and we had the best time! Our shuttle driver was AMAZING and really made our trip so much more enjoyable, right from the time our plane landed! The staff is so welcoming and helpful and answered all of my questions, including "what kind of fruit is this?" The concierges are the BEST! The food was DELICIOUS and the spirits flowed morning through night! The rooms were the COOLEST! Private, spacious, and nestled in a tropical garden of peace and tranquility! Everything was clean and modern and comfortable! And the private beach??? PERFECTION!! We will be back again and again!

My wife and I had a wonderful week at Sunset at the Palms. The staff were incredibly attentive and anticipated our every need. The food was a perfect mix of traditional Jamaican dishes and favorites from around the world. The excursions offered some great chances to get off the resort for an adventure day. The YS Falls/Black River Tour, snorkeling, and catamaran to Rick's were all well worth the price. The property itself is a beautiful garden setting with a variety of flora and fauna to enjoy. It was a truly incredible tropical vacation, and we hope to go back someday.

One of the best vacation experiences we've ever had. This was our 4 year anniversary and it could not have been more perfect! The rooms were nice, the beach was exceptional and the staff made the trip all the more pleasant. Nadine was one of the 1st of the lovely staff that we actually had the pleasure to interact with over the week, we can't say enough great things about her. There is plenty of options for food, you will NOT go hungry here. Each night was a different theme. We made reservations to the Chefs Showcase and an intimate private dinner where Patrice was our waitress and she even sang to us! If you want somewhere intimate, low key, with lots of staff attention, this is the place to go! We can now call Sunset at the Palms our new home away with some new amazing friends and family!

My experience at Sunset at the Palms was fantastic. The top contributor to that is the staff: each and every staff member I encountered was helpful, kind, and good-spirited, and the service was just perfection. Special shout outs to Kirk and Linton at the bar, Lynette at the gift shop, Damion by the water, and Jason, Venessa, Tamika, and Maria in the dining room. The resort is on the quieter side - very social, but not a party. Guests are primarily couples, average age around 50s with a good range. There's limited entertainment on site (highlight being the beach party), but it's a $20 cab ride into Negril if you want to seek that out. I was quite content to spend days and evenings on the resort grounds, which were stunning, chatting or holed up on a couch somewhere with a cocktail and a book. Taking in the sunset on the beach is an absolute must. Good food (selection was limited especially at lunch and would be tricky for vegetarians who want diverse options) and drink. Super-accomodating kitchen. I have no complaints. Sure, some of the facilities could do with some modernization, but that in no way interfered with the quality of my stay. I would go back in a heartbeat - highly recommend.

Stayed for 10 nights in the 2 storey treetop deluxe unit. It is a semi, and privacy is lacking, in my opinion. Some of the other units had better privacy, but unit 712 could use some work, especially for the amount of money it cost us. The lights from the walkway are so bright you have no privacy at night to chill on your balcony, then the lights from the building behind make it even worse. I hung towels on the railing just to keep some of the light out. This really needs to addressed, as you want to relax at night and all you have are bright lights that blind you at times. The next unit is right beside you as well and they can see everything and vice versa. Not romantic lol The bed was comfy, pillows were ok, bathroom was nice but the jets on the wall......simply leaked down the wall and shot out where it liked and when it wanted. No issue with water pressure or temp. Food was excellent. Not too many choices but always something to eat. The walk to the beach is the only beef we had. The beach itself is small, lots of shade, plenty of staff to help set you up. The water is like glass, but the swimming area needs to be deeper, felt like we were in a kiddy pool up to our hips. Service on the beach was ok. Not fast, island fast but delicious. Hot tub was a nice feature to end the night. Special thanks to Odine for his warm smile and always making sure drinks were topped up and we were taken care of. Cheers buddy!
