We had really high hopes for this trip, especially traveling with a baby, but this stay was incredibly disappointing from start to finish. First, our air conditioning didn’t work properly for the first three days. Every single time it stopped working we had to call, and maintenance would come during my baby’s naps which was beyond frustrating. When you’re traveling with an infant, nap time is sacred, and the constant disruptions made the first half of our stay stressful and exhausting. When we arrived, instead of feeling welcomed, we were immediately pressured to attend a “luxury vacation club” presentation. We ended up wasting 90 minutes listening to what turned out to be a glorified timeshare pitch. It felt misleading and pushy, especially when all we wanted to do was settle in and start our vacation. The most upsetting part of our stay was getting food poisoning — not from the buffet, but from one of their so-called “preferred exclusive guests” rooftop restaurants. I hadn’t left the resort, so it’s hard to imagine it came from anywhere else. When we called concierge to let them know and see what support they could offer, they completely dismissed my concerns. I was told I “could have gotten it anywhere,” which felt incredibly invalidating and unhelpful while I was clearly unwell. There was no follow-up, no concern, no support. We also paid extra for “Preferred” status, which frankly didn’t feel worth it. Beach seating was extremely limited. We woke up early every day just to secure chairs and still could only get four chairs for our family of five. Even then, we were repeatedly harassed to give up a chair when latecomers showed up at noon. That’s unacceptable after paying a premium. On top of that, the pool was freezing cold and constantly windy — it felt like a wind tunnel. We didn’t swim once. Overall, between the broken AC, pushy sales tactics, dismissive staff when I got sick, and the lack of actual “preferred” benefits, this was not the relaxing family vacation we expected. I would not return or recommend it, especially to families traveling with young children.

We were here for 5 nights in February 2026. We were with famiy and friends. I'll start with the positive. We arrived late so that fact that the buffet was open till 10p was great because we were all very hungry. The check in process was smooth and quick. The rooms were good size and clean. The entire property is very clean. The food is good but not great. We were able to book dinner each night at the restaurants without any issues. The resort is in a private gated area which was nice because there was no local walking around trying to sell you stuff. It felt very safe. The beach area had a lot of nice places to take photos too. There was a lot of seaweed and rocks making it hard to swim in. Now onto what we didn't like. The lobby was small and uninviting. On our last day there our transfer to the airport was late and they didn't want to help us. We didn't know what to do because our agent also ignore us. It was very frustrating. There was no swim up bar. We didn't think this would bother us but we know now this is a deal breaker because it made the all-inclusive experience not as fun. There was only 1 pool in the whole resort (unless you go with the upgrade then there is a pool on the top floor) which we don't care for. We noticed that the resort was extremely calm and quite and we didn't hear much music at all. There wasn't a lot of activities taking place during the day - it was a bit too quite for us. We enjoy waking up to loud music and a lot of stuff happening around us. This resort was not for us and we would not come back to it again.

We stayed at this resort for a friend’s wedding and expected a relaxing and well-run experience, but from the moment we arrived it was a string of frustrations and poor service. Several guests, including us, didn’t get the rooms we paid for—preferred and regular bookings were mixed up with no explanation. It took over six hours for our luggage to reach us, and we eventually had to collect it ourselves after finding it sitting unattended. Our “Preferred Club Ocean View” room was a huge letdown. The photos on the website show bright views of the ocean, but our room faced the opposite side of the building with barely a glimpse of ocean and a large glimpse of the golf course and swamp. The only true ocean-view rooms were actually classified differently and cost more—very misleading. The resort uses a frustrating booking app (apparently required by Hyatt) to reserve restaurant spots. It crashes constantly, and unless you wake up at 6 a.m., you won’t get a dinner reservation. By the end of our stay, everyone gave up and just lined up to write their names down. Service was poor throughout. The concierge staff were unhelpful and seemed more interested in pushing the 90-minute timeshare presentation than actually helping with any guest requests. If you didn’t agree to sit through it, you got zero assistance afterward. Basic cleanliness was also neglected. Dishes from room service sat in the hallways for days—despite multiple calls to have them picked up. When food did arrive, it was often inedible: raw pizza dough, freezer-burned items, and generally subpar quality. The restaurant experiences were no better. At Vista Prime, the so-called “preferred” steakhouse, the steak was so tough it was nearly impossible to cut, and the octopus was slimy. My wife ended up getting sick after a kale salad. Breakfast service was painfully slow—one morning we waited an hour for a table even though the restaurant was mostly empty. The host just kept saying, “15 more minutes.” At the Mexican restaurant, our group of ten was served so unevenly that my main dish didn’t arrive until two and a half hours later—after everyone else had finished eating—and the waiter laughed it off as if it were a joke. Overall, this resort was a huge disappointment. From unorganized check-in and false advertising to poor service and questionable food safety, it fell short on every front. Definitely not what you expect from a Hyatt-branded property.

We had a great family trip here! We booked a family suite for five people and the rooms were a great size, very comfortable, and the bathroom showers were awesome. The food was great overall. The only downside was using the app to book restaurant reservations, it was very annoying and honestly didn’t work well. The kids loved the pool. There’s only one, but it’s huge, and it was easy to find a place to sit throughout the day. The beach area was on the smaller side but still very nice. We chose this resort specifically for elderly family members with limited mobility. Unfortunately, they were sick missed the trip, but this resort would have been perfect for them. Everything was easy to get to, didn’t require a lot of walking, and stairs were avoidable. The coffee cafe was everyone’s favorite spot (great coffee and snacks). The kids didn’t enjoy the kids’ room much, but the teen area had some fun game options. The spa was awesome, and the workout room was decent. Overall, it was a great trip. Excellent service, and the staff seemed genuinely happy to be there and were always very helpful. Would definitely recommend for families and guests with mobility concerns, or those wanting a quieter but still kid friendly option.

We booked the resort with friends for spring break 2025. If you're going for a senior trip, book somewhere else. We were forced to book two rooms for the 4 of us (me, husband, our 18 year old and 21 year old). Told their policy doesn't allow more than 3 adults in one room. Their "adult age" is 13. Even though the website said two queen beds. They were full size beds in reality. There is not much night life, the club was pretty empty every night. My husband and 2 other adults got really sick on our last day and all remained sick for a week! They all had fevers and major stomach issues (I'll spare details). The resort refused to take any responsibility for it. Very disappointing. The resort even tried to down play their illness to an upset tummy. All 3 adults were so sick, they each went to the doctor twice and none of them could return to work for a week. Breakfast was not good and it's so chaotic. We tried booking the spa since we booked as preferred club and were supposed to receive complimentary hydrotherapy, and they were hard to get into. It's like they made it hard so you'd give up. Even at the preferred club lounge, I asked for my free beach bag, that others received, and was told I didn't get one because I was at a different level. We all had the same exact booking. Believe me, book somewhere else!
