Beautiful resort. The gardens, beach and pool area are well maintained and spotlessly clean. Large pool with plenty of sun loungers. The staff are all very welcoming and cannot do enough for you. Always greeted with a smile. The buffet was plentiful and catered for many nationalities. Good quality food and well presented in attractive displays. The air conditioned room was large and spacious and very clean. Great shower with shower gels, shampoo and conditioners supplied. The room also had a fridge and tea/ coffee facilities. Daily entertainment for all ages and a variety of evening entertainment and shows. I would highly recommend this resort and would definitely return again. Enjoyed a relaxing week in the sun

Alma Bay Resort Hurghada We spent 2 weeks at the hotel. The atmosphere of the hotel is calm, pleasant. The staff is excellent in every way, helpful, kind and cheerful. The rooms are large enough, the kettle, coffee and tea are useful in the morning. The daily cleaning is excellent. The pool is cozy and large. It is easy to enter the sea, not too rocky. The restaurant has a wide selection of food. In addition to the main restaurant, you can book 2 thematic restaurants (Asian, Italian). The hotel gardens are beautiful, tidy, with wonderful flowers, trees, palm trees. The service providers (massage, beauty salon, Dr. Fish...etc.) are not intrusive. The hotel staff are all helpful and kind. Thanks to all the waiters named Ahmed at the Island bar. Thanks to the elderly but always smiling Ahmed, who helped the bars, the festivals and everyone else all day as a delivery man, cleaner, dishwasher. Thanks to the gardeners for the beautifully kept gardens, flowers and trees. Thanks to Ali the lifeguard for his attention. Thanks to Chef Mahmoud and his colleagues and all the kitchen staff for the delicious food, the wonderful decorations and hygiene. Thanks to Mr. Wale the night manager for his kindness, the beautiful room, his helpfulness and all his kind words. Thanks to Mr. Ibrahim the hotel manager for his helpfulness and for running the hotel properly. Thanks to the staff at the main entrance and the main building gate for their kindness. Finally, we would like to thank all those who contributed to the perfection of our holiday. The only negative thing about the hotel is the currency exchange. Unfortunately, the machines in front of the hotel do not exchange money and we were not able to exchange money at the reception on any occasion. This would be a good thing to change. We couldn't use the Wifi in the hotel, and there was no internet even after connecting. This would also be a good idea to improve it so that the Wifi can be used in the rooms as well.

My partner and I stayed in a junior suite with our 14year old daughter. X2 balconys overlooking the sea! The rooms are clean as is the hotel! The only negative thing i can say is that the furniture around the hotel/rooms needs updating due to a lot of wear & tear. The A la carte restaurants is not that great food wise. They are understaffed in both the restaurants. The main restaurant was fantastic! There was not a massive variety of food but a decent amount. All the food we had was tasty. The staff in the restaurant were professional, polite and extremely helpful!! Ali the restaurant manager was amazing at making us feel so welcome. The bars at the pool and sea front were great! The managers at both the bars were helpful and nothing seemed to much trouble! The heated swimming pool is an amazing feature!!!! Although the weather is hot the wind can make it cool. The animation team were amazing! They were fun energetic & enthusiastic! Creating fun activities daily and evening entertainment fun!! Every Tuesday they do something big and we experienced a carnival with fun activities, food, sweets and drinks etc a big live show and transport was provided (as we went to a different hotel with a big arena) this is still part of your all inclusive package. Cocktails were lovely... a lot of effort was made with taste & presentation. Reception staff were so friendly and helpful. We would definitely choose this hotel again and it's all the staff that make our stay so memorable. Thank you to all staff including gardeners and cleaners at Sunrise Alma Bay. - Hotel facilties and beach are good - Restaurant is less than mediocre in food quality and variety - Service is terrible, people are all unfriendly and they are either fighting with eachother and saying very bad words or insulting their bosses in front of guests and don't want to provide any service. - Some even insult the foreign guests in egyptian language knowing that they don't understand them. - Check in process took 4 hours as we entered our room at 6 PM. - Card room needed replacement every day which is illogical considering that we have kids and older people so we are getting stuck outside the rooms.

The hotel was overall acceptable. I even broke a glass cup and paid for it without any issue. However, during checkout at 2:00 AM, I was asked to pay $57, and they didn’t have change. They refused to let me go exchange money or transfer it from Cairo. I ended up walking around at 3:00 AM looking for a bank. In the end, they took $100 from me, promising to return the difference later. I’ve been back in my country since Monday, and I still haven’t received the money. I’ve been following up with Mr. Wael, but there has been no proper response. Honestly, I’m very disappointed with the lack of professionalism.
