Taya Cravens
The entertainment staff - Jonathan, Alexander, Pedro, Alan, Jesus & Monica made our stay so much fun! They played volleyball with us for a couple hours everyday and they all have great personalities. They are fun and outgoing and make sure to keep the party going! Super entertaining and fun, we loved them! I wish I could give them 10 stars! They felt like our best friends by the end!! Jesus and Adolfo at Aurora Dinner were awesome servers. They were extremely attentive, kind, and happy. Great service and personality. Definitely recommend going to Aurora for dinner and hopefully you will get lucky enough to have them as your servers.

This is my favorite resort I have ever stayed at in Mexico! We are returning guests because why risk going somewhere new when I know this place has everything we’re looking for and never disappoints. The views are amazing, the beach is by far the largest and nicest on the stretch of hotels nearby. The food is delicious, I highly recommend the Thai restaurant, it is super good and everyone’s favorite. They keep it this resort spotless and the staff is extremely hospitable and make for a great experience. Even though everything about this resort is amazing, what seals the deal for me and my husband is the entertainment staff. We LOVE them!! Alan and Pedro have been here for several years and we get so excited when we see them. They definitely live up to the title of entertainment staff, they are always making the pool vibes so fun! I highly recommend booking a stay here with your significant other, it will not disappoint.

We had the best time at Sun Palace. Our room was clean, modern, and had a gorgeous view of the ocean. The staff were excellent, food was great. Esmeralda was our waitress twice during our stay and she went above and beyond to accommodate us! We loved that they have 2 pools, one that's more of a party scene and a second on the other side of the hotel that is quiet and relaxing. We also loved that the resort is right on the beach- we went for daily beach walks! Would absolutely return!

Jonathan, Alexander, Pedro, Alan, Jesus and Monica were what made the sun palace what it is. I would come back to the sun palace solely to be around them. They made the trip fun and memorable. If you’re looking to make memories and have a good time you need to hangout with the entertainment staff. Best entertainment staff out of all the palace resorts!! They all need a raise! Jesus and Adolfo were very observant and made sure that every thing was going well the whole night. By the end of the night I felt like we were good friends. They made sure to make sure I had a great time with my wife. Best servers I’ve ever had. Couldn’t ask for a better experience.

This was our second stay, and while some things have improved, others disappointed. Pros: 1. Great location at the start of the hotel zone—easy access to the airport and day trips. 2. Super comfy beds—probably the best we’ve had in any hotel. 3. Very clean pool, rooms, and amenities. 4. Surprisingly good and a bit cheese evening entertainment—we enjoyed 3 out of 5 nights! Cons: 1. Aggressive sales tactics really soured the experience. We were approached four times, including a morning phone call, even after saying no. It felt intrusive and unprofessional. 2. Food quality is hit or miss. Made-to-order items (like tacos or omelets) are your best bet. Buffets lacked flavor and proper temperature. Only a couple of the dinner restaurants stood out - Mexican and Fuego Tip: Skip group tours. Use Uber to visit places like Playa del Carmen or Xcaret—it’s cheaper, more flexible, and saves you from early pickups.
