I stayed with my mom and aunt at Southern Palms in February, and we had really lovely experience. We were toying with staying at the Hilton, but I am so glad we chose differently. Everything was perfect. We stayed in an ocean view duplex room, and I am so glad that we did. Waking up to the view was amazing. Our room had two televisions, a pretty spacious bathroom, and everything you might need for a an extended stay. The beds were comfortable the AC worked well, and we had two balconies in our room.
Prior to our arrival the staff answered all of my questions and accommodated our asks. While the hotel was sold out it never felt super crowded or cramped. I only ate lunch there once, but I enjoyed my meal. I did order several drinks over my stay and they were delicious!
If you stay at the Southern Palms, you're in walking distance from many good restaurants(we loved Mimosas!), bars, and a small market. This isn't necessarily a "luxury" resort, it's well taken care of, and well manage and overall the experience felt luxurious to me. I can't wait to go back with my family and friends.

Maybe the best and most classically tropical spot in the gap.
Beach service. Table service. Pool service! What else could you ask for.
Fish cakes and beachcomber sandwich are my favourite here.
It is impossible not to have a great time hanging out here with a rum punch and the Barbados steel pan orchestra playing.
Keep coming back every year and will forever.
Special mention to Kenny and Xavier.
Always taking care of us.
Just a classic and perfect location you cannot replicate.

We had a lovely bar meal here and the food was very good, especially the bread pudding! Hazel Ann was our waitress and she worked very hard to make sure we enjoyed our evening.

The staff at Southern Palms are very friendly and helpful . I love this resort , the location is great , you can walk to many restaurants , and bars with live music , and karaoke is also a big thing here in St Lawrence Gap .

My partner and I were looking for a quiet place right on the beach, and this was just that!
The place is nothing overly fancy (as indicated it is a 3 star hotel), but the grounds were well kept, the pools always clean, and the staff were so kind! They were always around and so helpful.
The food is okay, but you can’t beat the convenience. My favorite thing on the menu was the fish cakes! The breakfast buffet however was so good, we loved being able to enjoy that each morning with the view of the water.
The bar is ocean front so you can wander right on up to it anytime and grab a beverage! They did happy hour every day, and drinks were buy one, get one and you couldn’t beat the prices. They also had different performers throughout our stay for entertainment!
Honestly the best part of this hotel is the location! Being right on the beach was amazing, they provided beach chairs for the guests. We went in October and it wasn’t very busy so it was extremely peaceful and relaxing. The best part is the turtles, which swim right around in the water just out front of the hotel. Masks and snorkels are provided during your stay so you can swim right alongside them!
Should we visit Barbados again (we will), we’d definitely stay here again.
