We chose to stay here as this was recommended to my husband by his work colleague. The hotel is in a good location not too far from the airport and quite accessible by public transport-train/bus ( we used the train) the only tricky part is that because the general area is hilly, there’s a lift that you can take to Torremolinos town centre and towards the hotel. -you just have to pay 50 cent per person. Hotel- pristine, smells lovely all the time and good accessible and central location. They have various amenities and activities for people of all ages. We were particularly delighted to find a lovely playground that has a water park and also a kids club house-it’s just a shame that they weren’t in operation when we visited (normally it starts at March) according to the management. Our room-decent enough for what we have paid for, we had the city view don’t have much sun shining towards our room but we didn’t mind at all. Staff/Service- the staffs are generally polite and attentive particularly the ones in the dining hall that is cleaning/busking tables-they’re doing a great job. I would also like to commend the ladies doing the housekeeping, they have kept the place spotless. We chose the half board, I think it’s worth it specially if you have a baby or a toddler, it’s saves you the hassle of having to look for a place to eat, particularly at evening times, it made our stay so much handy. The food selection was great-extensive variety and good flavour. Overall it was a great stay, the only drawback of our stay in the hotel was that the WiFi was not good at all. There are spots in the hotel that has a very poor signal-hopefully this can be looked into. I would definitely recommend and also potentially would come back for another stay.

This is my third visit to Torromolinos and I’ve stayed in another hotel which I enjoyed but decided to give the Don Pedro a try because the grounds and landscaping looked beautiful and they were also all the public spaces the rooms not so much very small and the bathroom hadn’t been updated in decades it still had the old very high style tube which you had to climb over to get in. We took half board as we had done in our previous hotel but this wasn’t a restaurant more like a cafeteria and the food was very bad usually dried up and cold by the time you got to your table desserts all looked very nice but they were basically factory produced frozen cakes and all tasted the same the staff seemed nice but who all seemed very overworked and harassed and didn’t have time to answer any questions and another fact was people would get up as early as 6.30am to “claim” lounge chairs by the pool then those chairs would remain empty for the greater part of the day when we asked about it we were told to complain to the life guard I’m a guest I shouldn’t have to get involved in a dispute over chairs and though it looks nice the hotel hasn’t changed much from those Holiday Camp style of hotels from the 1980/90s where people were just looking for a cheap holiday with sunshine very disappointed

Our stay at Sol Torremolinos - Don Pedro was unfortunately very disappointing, especially considering we paid €1,220 for just 5 nights. No internet!!! The only truly helpful person at the reception was Paloma, who actually called the handyman in front of us and tried to help solve problems. Also, the restaurant staff were friendly and professional. The animation team, especially one lady working with children, was excellent and clearly cared about guests and kids. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was far below expectations. The room was dark, dirty, smelled strongly of mold and dampness, and felt very unpleasant from the first moment. There was no proper internet connection during our stay. Dirty glasses were left in the room from the beginning of the stay and never removed. We even found dusty flip-flops from a previous guest under the bed, which says a lot about the cleaning standards. The main gate was broken and closed most of the time, and parking costs €25 per day, which is excessive. The woman working in the English Bar was rude and unfriendly. The all-inclusive food selection was weak, and there was only one snack bar available. To eat something decent, we had to go to another hotel in the complex. Overall, apart from a few nice employees, the hotel was a tragedy and definitely not worth the money we paid.

I would have given 5 stars however smell in the room and the food most days have let it down. From walking into the hotel we felt this was a good location to explore the city and the surrounding areas. The hotel looked clean and modern. It also had an indoor pool and kids play area which we could use most parts of the day. We had a family suite, which was nice with a large balcony. The issue started from the 1st evening. There was a horrible rotting smell from the toilet which got worse through the night. It persisted despite blocking the bath drain/sink drain and we could only close the door all night to prevent the smell from reaching the bedroom. We had mentioned this to reception on 3 occasions. Each time we were promised maintenance repairs/assessment but it was just the same everyday. We went for half board with breakfast/dinner. Whilst breakfast was similar to other similar resorts, dinner was disappointing. Grilled meat/fish were dry and salty. To make things worse no drinks are included and we had to pay extra for water. We found staff helpful throughout the restaurant and were greeted everywhere we went.

We have stayed here twice with a 3rd booked (see below). Once off-season in January which was lovely and quiet and just what we wanted, the second time was September and a busy summer time. We liked the hotel very much. Reception staff were friendly and obliging and willing to help with any issues. We chose bed and breakfast, and the breakfast buffet was excellent catering for all tastes. The rooms were very comfortable, though they are doing a major refurbishment (in 24/25/26) so they can vary somewhat. Choose a west or south pool view if you can - with a balcony or terrace. The pools and grounds are immaculate all through the day and are well serviced. If you are a drinker, end of the afternoon can be fun as they have a 2 for 1 hour at the terrace bars. Whatever you order they give you double! Beware, you might not be capable of dinner if you have too much 🤣 We are booked to return for a third time in January ‘27. Looking forward to another Winter special.
