We stayed at Sol Tenerife for two weeks in early January 2026. The location is excellent (10/10): right on the waterfront and in the center of Playa de las Américas, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and beaches. The hotel is bright, but there is a high chance of getting a room on the non-sunny side, so I recommend requesting a sunny room in advance. Unfortunately, our stay was negatively impacted by bed bugs. During the second week, we were bitten after using an extra blanket from the wardrobe. The management reacted quickly, moved us to another room, and cleaned all our belongings. However, we noticed other guests with similar bites, which suggests this may not be an isolated issue. Our parents, staying in a different room, had no problems. Another downside is the noise. The surrounding bars and clubs are very loud, especially on weekends, making this hotel unsuitable for sensitive sleepers. The staff try their best, but due to the hotel’s size, some issues seem difficult to resolve fully.

The Hotel is fine, amazing breakfast and great view on the balcony. In addition it's close to the center and connected to the beach. They have activities planned for entertainment and the crew is hardworking and friendly. There is noise during sleeping from the bars though you will have this in any other hotel in the center, so people shouldn't complain about that. Next to this the rooms are kinda dirty and old. There are little insects walking in the bathroom all the time. Else than that it's good considering the price. Would I book it again? No probably not but I do definitely not regret my choise. I would recommend to renovate the rooms

We stayed at the hotel for a week and we want to say that we liked everything. The hotel is located right next to the rocky beach. You can walk to the sandy beach in 3 minutes. The food was quite good, so from the first day we decided to change our half board plan to all inclusive, because the drinks at the pool bar are quite expensive, and all inclusive is more profitable if you want to enjoy cocktails. The staff was friendly and helpful. Many negative reviews about the fact that there are bugs or cockroaches in the room, and that they did not do housekeeping. Personally, our room was clean from the very beginning, not a single cockroach inside, housekeeping was every day, towels were replaced with clean ones every day. Regarding the old renovations of the premises - if you are used to luxury 5* hotels with European renovation, then you will not like this renovation. But we have extensive experience of traveling and staying in different apartments and therefore we have no questions about this, especially for the price it costs. The air conditioner worked great. We are only taking one star off because it was noisy until 4am from the nightclubs (but we were drunk every day, so it didn't stop us from sleeping😁) and because there are Pakistanis walking around the hotel offering you drugs or drinks in their nightclub. They are quite pushy and aggressive so you need to be careful if you go there alone😤 Every evening the hotel had a new show program and during the day various sports activities were offered. We are very satisfied with our vacation, so we will definitely come back again!🤟🏻

The only reason this hotel is getting two stars is because the view from the balcony is genuinely nice. Unfortunately, everything else was a let-down. The rooms are very dated, old, and not particularly clean. The beds are uncomfortable, which made it hard to get a good night’s sleep. On arrival, the staff couldn’t find our booking, which meant we were left waiting in reception for a long time while it was sorted. Not a great first impression. The rooms are poorly equipped — there’s no iron, and there is only one plug socket, which isn’t even near the bed. This makes simple things like charging phones, drying hair, or using any appliances very inconvenient. Overall, the service isn’t great, and the hotel is in serious need of a full refurbishment. It’s also very loud, especially at night, and there were strong smells of cannabis on the balcony, which wasn’t pleasant at all. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Had a lovely stay at Sol Tenerife. The hotel is clean and comfortable, the staff are welcoming, and the location is perfect—right by the beach with plenty to do nearby. Great value and a very enjoyable experience. Hotel is close to Veronicas Strip, so it can be noisy at night—but perfect if you enjoy nightlife.
