Pros: ENTERTAINMENT STAFF AND ACTIVITIES! Closeness to restaurants, beaches, transport and waterparks and other activities etc. Cons: Food could be better, better communication with travel agents to let us know we weren't in the hotel we booked. An option for no white towels and bedding (but that's just a me thing, I think) We weren't in the hotel we booked but that wasn't too bad, just slightly disappointing as most of the pools were closed apart from one, which was quite small. The hotel was clean, although I still don't understand why we have white bedding and towels, it begs to get dirty... Luckily, I brought my own towels and that was fine. The lifts were a bit of a tight squeeze for the amount of people who were staying at the hotel. The food was good but not enough options for kiddies and vegetarians/vegans (except salad...) Because we were in the sister hotel, Sol 2, we didn't have access to the gym, other pools, and the snack bar wasn't open either. The hotel is a short walk to the beach and local shops and restaurants and it's all flat, so it's good for people who aren't good on their feet. Katmandu Theme Park and Golf Fantasia are a walkable distance away. Western Waterpark and Marineland are short bus rides away. NOTE: If you want a shortcut, go out the back gate by the pool and pingpong table (you'll need your room keycard to get back in) and it brings you out by the shops and restaurants (a bit creepy at night, so don't go alone) What made our stay was the entertainment staff. They were great with the kiddies at kids club and had a range of different activities all day long, from young children activities (up to 4 years) to slightly older children activities (5-12 years). They had adult activities throughout the day which were a lot of fun and silly, they were a great way to make new friends. I especially liked darts, 1 min to win, yoga, corn hole, sjoelen and jenga. Evening entertainment was amazing too! They had mini disco for the little ones and then from 9:15pm each night they had either live music, dancers, magicians and comedians: we had the whole package. They also had an adults disco most nights where you can request a song and have a dance! The entertainment staff even taught us some Spanish dances too! It was incredible! I cannot thank Jack, Alex and the other members of the entertainment team (interns included) for making our stay so memorable. They are so friendly and genuine. They have a way of getting you out of your comfort zone without being too pushy. They are a credit to the hotel and I don't think the hotel would survive without them! 10/10 for entertainment.

stayed here 5-12th April. At first a bit miffed at Sol 1 was closed but we soon realised that that was no problem at all. Had to wait a short while to go to the room but were given AI bands straight away. Room lovely, pool view, kettle and mugs, spotless, English Tv and good wifi. I thought the beds were comfy. Food and drink were lovely. We chose to eat out a couple of nights just because we like too. No need to upgrade to gold spirits as you are given good measure and reusable cups are used on a token service. spirits can also be taken into dining room. Pool freezing but refreshing! pool snacks are served in the main restaurant...you cant take them out but there loads of choice. fruit, fries, burgers, hot dogs, nachos...its amazing. Staff are lovely and there loads of activities if you want to do them. Entertainment is ok at night but we amuse ourselves. The location is amazing, out the back gate to Palma and 2 mins walk to sea and front of hotel is 7 mins walk to Magaluf strip. Only fault and not the hotels fault really....the Sol 1 and big pool and children's pool were closed which is understandable if its still quiet but that meant the only pool was busy and closed at 4!! This was rectified though as people refused to get out one day so they had o choice but to keep it open. It was a shame they didn't just open the children's pool and keep the hotel closed if not busy. We loved it so much we are returning in October.

All round great good value hotel. Food wasn’t amazing but for the price you can expect it. Beds not the comfiest, not the worst tho. All the staff I dealt with throughout the stay were great, we ended up running into our bartenders in a local club, great guys! Would come again for a long weekend.

Arrived and our original hotel was closed ( sol palmanova 1 ) and had to stay here, we had booked family room and was told that we couldn't have one so had to sleep on a camp bed, food was bland and same most days, only 1 swimming pool should have been 4! The room was tiny! I would not have booked this holiday if I knew I was staying here!!

We traveled here from Germany and were supposed to be in Sol Palmanova, which has a bigger Pool, Gym, etc. but when we were dropped off we were confused because it seemed to be closed. We found out that we were now booked in Sol Palmanova ||, which didn’t have all the extras that we expected to get. He had an early flight and thought that we could already “check in” (get the wristband + be able to get drinks/eat dinner without being able to go to our room yet because checkin was at 15) but we were just told that we can drop off our suitcase in a small, unlocked room. After 4 hours we went back and had to check in for an hour because everything had to be typed in manually which took way too long. The Hotel mostly has English and Spanish visitors and is centered around families. The Food is very repetative and is basically 80% carbs. Most of it is pretty bland (exept for the fried zucchini 10/10) and drenched in oil. Breakfast: Donut station, Joghurt/Milk/Cornflake station, fruits (watermelon, grapefruit, oranges, pineapple, etc), pastries, english breakfast, chorizos, cheese, salami, etc. Lunch: Small dessert station with cake and mousses, nachos, salad, noodles/rice, potatoes/fries, burgers & hotdogs, pizza, meat, other salads Dinner: Same stations but different meats, salads, etc. There’s a lot of seafood and pork dishes which im not a fan of and if you’re lucky then there will be beef, chicken, turkey or something else. I also expected there to be more spanish culture involved but instead we got baked beans and breakfast sausage. The hotel has a chip system where you have to give the bar a chip that you receive at the check-in and they make you any drink in a recycled plastic cup that you can return for a new one, new drink or a new chip. I liked that system and they laid out delicious chocolate muffins in the lobby which was super cozy and had a coffee and tea machine :D The staff is super friendly. I especially liked the female bartenders who were super nice and the animation team!!!!! Everyone was so nice and humorous + the activities were nice. Every day there was Bingo and we even won a round, Jenga, Fitness, Darts, painting on a bag, etc. If you wanted to lay down in the sun, you could let your child stay with the animation team. They planned activities and extertained the children. The rooms were clean and the cleaning staff was friendly. We always got new towels and bedsheets. Although we had a rough and dissappointing start we still managed enjoy our vacation.
