We loved our break in Menorca with our 7 year old who loved the pools and selection of games like air hockey, table tennis and the playground. The amazing beach was a very short walk, and as we with my elderly father in a wheelchair, an accessible walk way that extends the length of the beach was great so he could join us. The accessibility was good overall and we could get out and about in the area although there are some pot holes and damaged sidewalks which could do with repair. The all inclusive food and drink was of a good standard with Cruzcampo and cava included. The staff were generally attentive and friendly. Rooms were lovely, we were upgraded to a larger family room facing the ocean, this was fab and much appreciated. The entertainment was excellent, there were shows each evening. We got taxis to and from the hotel and the drivers were really friendly and chatty. Menorca is a beautiful island and the sunsets were gorgeous. This was a special holiday as I travelled here for my first holiday abroad 30 years ago, it was great to go back with dad again and relive the memories. I would recommend this hotel and location to families looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday.

From the moment I arrived Maria on the front desk and Javier made my stay very welcoming. I got my early check in as requested and was up graded to a family room which I was appreciated of. The room, shower lovely, the balcony great and lovely sun from 5pm. Air con and fans great as I suffer with my menapause and was not hot. Bed was comfy but very squeeky, the cleaners were lovely abd friendly. For me the room could be updated with some paint and maybe a little more smarter for a Melia but I am not complaining in any way just some suggestions. Last night upstairs were moving furniture until 2am which was not good but I am leaving today, Breakfast ok, but I am very fussy anyways but seemed a good selection and cater for everyone. Lovely beach, some tasty restaurants near by and shops, generally I will definately be recommended this hotel to my clients. For what I paid for this hotel, nothing to be negative with. Thank you to you and your team for making my stay a pleasure.

WARNING: COCKROCHES IN THE HOTEL ROOM My experience at this hotel was far below acceptable standards, particularly in terms of hygiene and the way a serious situation was handled by the staff. On the second night of our stay, at around 3am, I discovered a COCKROACH in the room. I immediately contacted reception, only to be told that they could not help at that moment because the staff member on duty was alone. I was even told to deal with the issue myself. After insisting, someone eventually came with insect spray, treated the room, and then suggested we sleep there anyway, despite the strong chemical smell and the obvious discomfort caused by the situation. We refused and had to change rooms in the middle of the night. Even in the new room, we did not feel safe or comfortable after what had happened. The following morning, we chose to end our stay early and requested a refund for the following night, which had already been paid for and which we would no longer be using. The management's response was simply: “It’s normal to have cockroaches. Luckily, it’s not their season.” In my view, cockroaches in a hotel room are never normal. This is a hygiene and public health issue that should be taken seriously — and it’s clear that no proper prevention measures are in place. The way the situation was downplayed, combined with the refusal to issue a refund, shows a clear lack of professionalism and respect for guests. For these reasons, I do not recommend this hotel. If you value cleanliness, safety, and responsible customer service, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere.

I loved my stay here. The sea view room is well worth the extra money. Access to the spectacular beach is handy. Pool is unheated so I enjoyed having it mostly to myself. Breakfast selection was vast and coffee good. Staff on reception were brilliant - especially Javier. I had double booked with another place in son bou which I couldn’t cancel - they let me stay the non refundable first night and cancel the rest of my booking but loved this place so much I booked in for a further two nights as couldn’t bear to leave. I’d had hesitations due to the low Google score (wouldn’t normally choose anywhere less than 4.2) but wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

We recently stayed here as a family, and while there are some positives, unfortunately the negatives outweighed them. The good: - The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. - The play area for kids is a nice touch, although it only opens at 11am. Families with small children are usually up much earlier, so it would be great if the hours were adapted. - Direct access to the beach is a real plus. - The entertainment was enjoyable and family-friendly. The bad: - You can smoke on all terraces, by the pool, in the entertainment areas. Come on Meliá, it's 2025 and it's a family hotel, not a 1998 hotel in Magaluf. Restrict smoking to one place, or ban it on your premises. - It’s extremely noisy everywhere — the lobby, restaurant, terraces. Even inside the rooms we could hear neighbors and cleaning staff. Definitely not ideal if you’re looking to rest. The right choice of furniture, fabrics etc could solve this issue. - The beds were rock hard, making it very difficult to sleep comfortably. They did change our mattresses though upon request. - The level of cleanliness left much to be desired — rooms and common areas didn’t feel properly maintained. The cleaning staff however is lovely. - The buffet was very disappointing, with poor quality food that didn’t live up to expectations. I was severely glutened despite asking for food from the gluten free menu (that supposedly is prepared separately). My husband who's not celiac also thought that the quality of the food (embutidos, quesos, fruta, verduras, carnes etc) was just bad. The lunch staff was nice though, but the breakfast staff needs a n education about food safety. - Parking costs €15 per night, which feels steep on top of the room rate. Plus you need to go and fetch the key before parking, but how do you do that when there's no parking around while you go and fetch the key? It's just reversed. - In our family room, the drawers weren’t fixed to the wardrobe — not safe at all with kids around. - They use a strange “chip exchange” system for glasses. Guests are given plastic chips that must be swapped for a drink glass — it feels unnecessary and a bit unpleasant, as if they expect guests to steal. - Prices are very high: for example, a tiny 20cl Coke costs €3.80. - Wine list is tiny. They count on people drinking the house wine which is included in the full board. Overall, the hotel is catered to foreign tourists and while the location and staff are good, the noise, outdated rooms, lack of cleanliness, uncomfortable beds, poor food, safety issues, and hidden costs made this a poor value for money stay. We wouldn’t return unless significant improvements are made.
