I expected more from a 4-star resort, but unfortunately my stay did not meet expectations. Cleaning was disappointing: towels and bed linen were only changed on request, and although the room was cleaned daily, it was done very quickly and the floor often remained dirty. Check-in also took unusually long, and we had an issue with the room lock, which was inconvenient and not resolved quickly. Some staff members were not welcoming and at times looked irritated when asked for help, which felt uncomfortable. The food was another letdown. The buffet had a very limited selection, the quality was poor, and most dishes tasted the same. For a 4-star resort, I expected fresh and varied meals, not repetitive options. The pool snack bar was also inconvenient due to dress code restrictions. Drinks in the all-inclusive system were very limited, with only four machine-made cocktails included, while other options required extra payment. Even coffee was only served in proper cups if you paid. Overall, the resort has a good location, but the service, food, and overall experience did not justify the 4-star rating. I would not choose to stay here again.

We just finished 2 weeks at Sol Jandia and definitely recommend it. The rooms were clean and tidied every day and the view from our balcony was great. No issues overall with the service but some staff were far more friendly and accommodating than others, I found the experience in the Lobby bar and restaurant far more pleasant than the Pool and Snack bar, the quality of drinks is also far better in the Lobby bar so we would get drinks there and then take them to the pool. Most of the time you’ll get a pre-made cocktail from a slushie machine but the lobby bar would frequently make them from scratch and put a bit more effort in. The food was fine, it’s not 5* and it’s not always consistent but the variety of what’s on offer is great. Some of the food I loved, some I didn’t but you can never expect everyone to like everything when catering for so many. Saving the best until last is the activity and entertainment team, exceptional. All so friendly, so funny and all of the activities were worthwhile. Definitely a must if you have kids but also a lot of great things for the adults (don’t underestimate their circuit training or fitness classes, I’m still sore) General tips for anyone staying in the area: if you rent a car be careful if it’s on the day of the market or the day or before/after. There is a lot of parking out the front of the hotel and the main car park becomes the market on a Thursday but when the market is on, the people who have market stalls will absolutely box every car in without a problem and it’s impossible to find the owner of the vehicles. We couldn’t return our hire car despite parking it where Avis requested, because 3 market trucks boxed the car in along with several others who couldn’t move. If you like swimming/snorkelling, go down to the beach and follow it to the rocks/cliffs towards the harbour. We were surprised by a huge stingray within 2 minutes that we ended up swimming with for almost an hour. Most places that require tickets for entry like the zoo (which was great), tend to class any ages over 10-12 as an adult, so be aware that you’ll likely pay adult prices for any kids between 10-16 depending where you go

Our child cut his arm in the swimming pool during our stay at Sol Meliá Fuerteventura. At first, the staff were friendly and helped us contact a doctor. We were told that the hotel’s insurance would cover the medical appointment for stitches. However, later we received a letter stating that we had to pay the full amount ourselves. When we went to reception to discuss the issue, we were told that no manager was available to speak with us. The receptionist even confirmed that in this 4-star hotel, there is no senior staff member available 24 hours a day to assist guests in such urgent situations. This experience was extremely disappointing — both for the lack of responsibility regarding guest safety and the poor management support. For a hotel of this category, we expected much better care, transparency, and professionalism.

The hotel's biggest advantages are: 1. very dedicated and helpful staff; 2. 200 meters from a large, clean, and well-maintained beach (toilets, sunbeds); 3. location near shops, bus stops, and a 10-minute walk along a beautiful promenade to Morro Jable; 4. hotel situated in a beautiful garden, low-rise buildings, and nicely separated areas; 5. a variety of sports activities. A few things that could be improved are: 1. the garbage disposal should be moved to a different area; it shouldn't be located under the rooms; 2. the sports area could use a canopy and ventilation; 3. the food was okay, but the fish and fruit could be improved; 4. poolside cups should be washed and steamed, not just rinsed in water (I received a cup with lipstick on it).

Our child 7yold was injured in the swimming pool at Sol Meliá Fuerteventura due to a sharp broken tile (we have photos as proof).3 stitches Pool vere not close and place not covered for restoration the day. The staff were initially kind and helped us contact a doctor for stitches, saying the hotel’s insurance would cover it. Later we received a letter stating we had to pay the full medical cost ourselves. When we asked to speak with a manager, reception told us no manager was available, even though this is a 4-star hotel. Very disappointing lack of safety, responsibility, and support. Families should be careful — this was not the standard we expected from Meliá.
