Our first room 268 os not what is described in hotel information. These rooms, In the middle of the horse shoe shape, have a tiny hight walled balcony, an open kitchenette and the bedroom is on the main road side which is extremely noisy! Also the air conditioning was not that good. We were moved upon request however this took 4 days. Our new room Was absolutely perfect and exactly as described when we booked. The grounds are beautiful and very well kept. All staff were lovely and very helpful. Loads of beds and umbrellas at any time of day...none of the stupid bed races here!. Three lovely pools however 2 of them are shut at 6. And I mean shut you are told to leave! The largest pool is open till 8 and has a pool bar and music. 2 min walk to Yumbo and loads of bars/restaurants near by. I would definitely recommend here howereve stay away from room ending in 65 to 71 if you want the big balcony and the bedroom overlooking the pool. The bungalows are all 2 bed.

A brilliant stay at Sol Barbacán. There are two good sized swimming pools for adults and children, a jacuzzi and an adult pool. All in good spots. There is also a decent sized gym with a range of weights and machines. The rooms were generously proportioned and balconies quite big. There is a relaxed vibe around pool areas, you will not struggle for a sun lounger. It was good to see pool attendants stopping people “reserving loungers” so there is no mad dash to the sun loungers in the morning. The food at the hotel is lovely and fairly priced. The restaurant has a great food menu. There is entertainment every night and activities during the day. The animation is more understated but good fun. WiFi is very good. Cleaning service was very good and reception accommodated all requests. The sand dunes are around a 15-20 minute walk away and there are good bus services nearby to places such as Anfi and Puerto de Mogàn. Maspalomas is not far away via taxi or bus. Probably around 45-60 minute walk. Plenty of restaurants to visit in the local area. Highly recommend!

A lovely hotel with great facilities! I felt very welcomed by the staff on arrival. The gym had everything needed and breakfast too with a lot to choose from. The staff were amazing, Especially Dina working on the bar, she was very friendly and she works very hard. The room was clean and I had nothing to complain about, the housekeeper Pino also made me feel very welcome at the hotel with her kind personality and she did an amazing job cleaning the room every day. The evening entertainment was fun and very entertaining! Food and drinks were also great! I will definitely visit again when in Gran Canaria.

Could not fault this hotel,room was very spacious and clean , everything you need for self catering. Hotel is lovely, staff were very friendly, family friendly with 3 pools to choose from and 2 bars. Would definitely come back here

Absolutely wonderful hotel in a prime location. 5 minutes from the Yumbo shopping centre and about 6 minutes drive to the beach in a taxi which cost €4 i caught the taxi as i travelled with my 81 year old mum but you can walk it would take about 20 minutes. The hotel was super super clean and service first class we were there from 15th May to 22nd May so it was fairly quiet just like how we wanted it. We went self catering but our maid was brilliant and the hotel staff friendly knowledgeable abd informative i would definitely go back. The self catering rooms are very spacious with a separate bedroom bathroom and lounge and kitchen area. Just wonderful the best self catering apartment ive ever stayed in. All the amenities were top class and high end with a microwave fridge 2 ring cooker 2 coffee makers kettle they even provided tea towels and washing up liquid the maid service was daily .check out was midday abd thwre was available showers to use after checkout whilst we waited fir our return transfer to the airport as well as a luggage locker room . I was so impressed. Thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay.
