We would like to express our sincere thanks to the entire team at Sofitel Dubai Downtown — and especially to the concierge colleagues Anand and Nayem. During an unusual and somewhat challenging travel situation, the hotel staff remained calm, professional, very well organized and always extremely courteous. This created an atmosphere where guests felt safe, well looked after and genuinely welcome. We were particularly grateful for the support of Anand and Nayem from the concierge team. They helped us with great patience and dedication in organizing our onward journey and obtaining visas for Saudi Arabia. Their advice, contacts and calm guidance were invaluable for us. What impressed us most was not only their professionalism, but also their genuine kindness and willingness to help. Please pass our sincere appreciation to Anand, Nayem and the entire team. Hotel is good but the service was absolutely terrible. How they are surviving in hospitality is beyond me. From the moment we arrived, they asked us to leave our car at a specific spot as the valet was full and didn’t even give a ticket for the valet. Then we had to wait more than 30 minutes to check in due to the incompetence of the reception staff - this after informing them that my wife is pregnant and we have an infant. Room service? More like No service. We asked for an extra bed, they promised to bring it and delayed it. Even a basic request like dental kit was met with unreasonable delays. On our last day, I requested them to bring the breakfast up to our room as our 4 year old daughter fell sick from the previous night with fever (we already paid for the breakfast), they said they couldn’t do it and we had to order breakfast again! I understand they were overbooked, I’ve been to hotels and resorts which were overbooked before as well… but this was a pure example of poor management and lack of competence from top to bottom. Be careful before booking and always remember, if the price looks too good, there could be a catch…

We had a great stay at Sofitel for our five day family vacation with kids. The location is beautiful with clear views of the downtown and CBD. Facilities are excellent. Restaurants are high quality. Everything felt well maintained and comfortable. Service stood out the most. The staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to help. The breakfast buffet was amazing with a wide variety of fresh options each morning. It easily became the highlight of our day. Special thanks to Shyam at the breakfast lounge. He took great care of us and even arranged Masala tea for our family. That small gesture made us feel at home. Thank you Shyam and the Sofitel team. We will gladly stay again.

GOOD LOCATION AND LUXURY HOTEL. I think it's not good to stay in a hotel for a long time.Room was clean always housekeeping was very good first and second days, after they are lazy to accommodating. bathroom is well maintained and more bathroom than you need. the hotel facilities were excellent. On 2nd floor:- the restaurant staff are very fast polite and attentive. LOCATION:- walking distance to Dubai Mall. Everything was a great experience staying.

Apparently, at this hotel, breakfast works on a “surprise policy.” I booked a two-night stay with breakfast clearly included. On Day 1, everything was perfectly fine — I had breakfast without any issue. On Day 2, suddenly breakfast disappeared from my booking. Same reservation, same room, different story. Interesting. It’s impressive how a hotel that promotes itself as luxury cannot keep track of what is included in a confirmed reservation. Guests shouldn’t have to debate basic booking details or feel embarrassed for asking for something they already paid for. If consistency and professionalism are too much to expect, perhaps expectations should be lowered along with the room rates. Very disappointing experience.
