100% recommend. I have visited many Accor properties across the world, including Sofitels (or So/), and this is the best one I have been to so far. The service is everything you’d expect from a 5-star property. The breakfast is the best I have experienced across all Accor properties. Rooms are modern and well kept. As a Gold member, kudos to the team for upgrading me 2 levels above the room I had booked (as there was availability). I will definitely go there again when I visit Bangkok again.

SO/Bangkok brings a fresh breath of air into Bangkok, with five different themed rooms, which (if I recall correctly) are Wood, Water, Metal, Earth, and Fire. The hotel is conveniently located at the corner of Rama IV, and has 2 different entrances, allowing you to depart or arrive from the side that has lesser traffic. It is also walking distance from Central Park and One Bangkok shopping malls. I was warmly greeted by staff in uniquely colourful uniforms and was helped to the 19th floor where the lobby and bar is located. This stay, I got myself a Wood themed room and upon entry, made me feel welcomed and relaxed. Bed was comfortably soft, and the many pillows provided me with a good night's rest. The bathroom was spacious, with a humongous tub. Bathroom amenities were well displayed and provided. The thick slippers are a lovely touch. What I enjoyed was the fitness corner and the infinity pool. Unfortunately it wasn't heated so the water temperature was chilling. Nothing to dampen my spirits though, as the view of the park across was great. Also included breakfast in my stay and I have to admit the breakfast spread, and the quality, are top notch. Outdoor smoking tables are also provided for those who need a bit of "oxygen" as they dine. I really enjoyed my stay here as you can tell with the numerous photos attached. I also highly recommend having the buffet dinner at Soshi, which comes at a very good price as a hotel guest.

We stayed at SO for 5 nights as our second stop in Bangkok, and we loved every minute. Every person working there was so friendly and service minded. The location is great as is it not within the most busy areas, a big plus when air pollution is high and you want quiet surroundings. Most areas are within a comfortable walking distance, otherwise a grab will get you to all the tourist destinations within ~15-20 minutes. The pool area feels quite unique, with beautiful and relaxing vibe and surroundings, pretty cool in the middle of such a big city. The spa department is fantastic , and I would recommend getting a treatment if you have the time for a unique experience. I did the five steps of serenity signature massage with Lisa, and it was so good. Lisa made me feel so comfortable and worked magic on my stiff back and shoulders. Will definitely come back! We did not get around to the gym facilities, but it was very well equipped and with a nice view. Breakfast was great, with lots of different options. All in all it felt like the perfect stay in Bangkok as we could recharge there after a busy day. Only drawback is you might just want to stay at the hotel facilities the whole time 🤭

From the moment we arrived, she was the first person to greet us with a warm smile, impeccable courtesy, and a level of service that far exceeded our expectations. Mint took the time to show us the hotel from every angle: the history of the property, the different designs and decorations on each floor, and the unique touches that truly make SO/ Bangkok a special place. In conclusion, Mint is a true asset to SO/ Bangkok, and I wanted to ensure that her work is recognized and encouraged. We had an absolutely wonderful one-night honeymoon stay at SO/ Bangkok. From the moment we arrived the team went above and beyond to make our celebration seamless and memorable. We were warmly welcomed, granted an early check-in, and surprised with a complimentary room upgrade — thoughtful touches that set the tone for a very special stay. Special thanks to Teddy (Duty Manager) for his personal attention and genuine welcome, and to Khun Izhar (Director of Revenue and Rooms) for coordinating everything so smoothly behind the scenes. Their professionalism and warm care — together with a responsive, attentive team — made all the difference and allowed us to relax and enjoy every moment. The room was lovely and immaculately prepared for our honeymoon, and the complimentary amenity was a sweet surprise. Dinner at Red Oven was a highlight — the food was delicious, perfectly presented, and the service matched the high standard we experienced throughout the hotel. Overall, SO/ Bangkok delivered an exceptional experience for our honeymoon.
