The food ranged from average to quite phenomenal. The Stake House and Italian Restaurants were my favorites. The staff were amazing, being knowledgeable, and happy and quick to help with a smile. There’s plenty of pool and beach space with nice pool and beachside accommodations. The resort is generally well kept and stylishly decorated. The overall experience was fantastic and I would go back. Gladys and Alana did absolutely phenomenal exfoliating, foot massages, and gorgeous pedicures for my husband and me! Our waiters Berni at Twiggy and Efrain from Union were excellent. Berni was extremely pleasant and always quick with a warm smile. Efrain was so helpful, quick witted and quite charming. However, the absolute most fabulous staff of our stay was Ivan at the Italian Restaurant. He was very personably and sweet and made testing out my poor Spanish easy and fun.

We recently stayed at SLS Playa Mujeres to celebrate our 10th anniversary, and overall we had an amazing experience. You could immediately see and feel that it’s a brand new, very well-maintained resort. Check-in was smooth, and I loved how the lobby always smelled so fresh and refreshing while being nicely air-conditioned unlike some hotels that can feel mouldy. We stayed in the Elite Ocean View room, and the views were absolutely stunning from everywhere. Our butlers, Manuel and Luis, were fantastic. They made sure all our à la carte reservations were secured for our entire stay, constantly checked in to make sure we were okay, and even spoiled our daughter with toys. Thank you, Manuel and Luis! The restaurants and food exceeded our expectations for an all-inclusive resort. Everyone working there was so polite, friendly, and always greeted us warmly. We also appreciated how attentive the restaurants were with allergies. Our only complaints would be the lack of signage, as we got lost during the first few days, and we weren’t aware beforehand that there wouldn’t be a lunch or dinner buffet. We would have loved the flexibility of having a buffet option, although the food at the restaurants was really good. All in all, we had an amazing time at the beach and pool, and would love to see a bit more entertainment for both kids and adults at night.

We stayed in the SLS Elite Ocean View Rooftop, which includes Butler Service, and Roman and Alexis were outstanding. The view was absolutely amazing, and the rooftop jacuzzi was a perfect touch. The food was delicious, and the nightly entertainment was unique and engaging. The pools and kids water park weren’t heated, so they were a bit cold at first, but you do get used to it. The outdoor and spa jacuzzis were warm (though not quite hot enough), but the in-room jacuzzi was excellent. Overall, everything else was amazing. We truly enjoyed our stay and are already looking forward to going back.

SLS Playa Mujeres is a wonderful resort! We had a wonderful vacation here. The resort is absolutely beautiful and is well thought out, both in design, to accommodate families with young children, as well as having areas that are quieter for couples wanting some time to relax. The food has been excellent. There are several restaurants to choose from. Our favorite was Fi'Lia. That being said, they were all good. It would be nice addition to have some small snack options at the bars, like chips, etc. Our suite offered us the additional service of two butlers who were always there to assist with dinner reservations or any other help. They were Fabiola and Isaac. We didn't ask much of them, but we were grateful for their help and support. They were so nice! The Ciel Spa was a wonderful experience! I was reluctant to book a massage, but did so at the encouragement of Victor near the pool. I am six weeks from having hip replacement surgery, and not getting around very well. Rosa was SO wonderful at the spa. She looked after me and recognized that I might need help getting in and out of the different hydrotherapy pools safely. She made me feel so at ease and I was able to relax and truly enjoy my spa experience. Elena was my masseuse and she was equally attentive to my needs. She gave me a wonderful, gentle massage and it helped me tremendously! I would recommend visiting the spa, wholeheartedly. Others that are worthy of gratitude are Rodrigo, Jr. Mixologo, who made us the best margaritas ever! Also wonderful are Alex, William Tun, Horado (from Fi'Lia) and the sweetest bartender at the bar by the harbor. I didn't get his name, but he was so attentive to what we might want from one night to the next, and he was so awesome! If we wanted something he didn't have, he went out of his way to get it. Awesome service! SLS Playa Mujeres is a great resort!

We had a great stay at SLS Playa Mujeres. The big draw for us was the combination of the family-oriented activities combined with the ability for adult time and space. We were also attracted to the elevated food experience. It definitely delivered. Highlights were: 1. We did the elite package because we wanted to be able to make dinner reservations ahead of our stay. Our butlers Fabiola and Issac were incredibly helpful and made everything smooth and enjoyable on our stay. High points for them! 2. Cleo was our favorite restaurant, followed by Twiggy. Food was excellent every time and great wait staff. 3. The Kids Camp was fantastic. They had a weekly calendar of activities and a good variety. Our son asked to go every day! The staff were great there too. Things that I would suggest for management to consider: 1. The drinks menu is very cocktail oriented. As a mostly wine drinker, I would have liked to see more selection that did not require an additional purchase. 2. Better privacy screen between the sleeping area and the bathroom area. 3. We tended to have early reservations as we were traveling with a young child. A few times our food came out cold and we suspected that it had been pre-prepared. We know in a facility serving a lot of people there has to be some degree of that, but a steak at a steakhouse should be served at the correct temperature. We look forward to retuning here!
