My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at the Sheraton Full Moon, and the experience exceeded our expectations in every way. The island itself is breathtaking—beautifully maintained, serene, and the perfect place to truly unwind. What made our stay even more special was the incredible staff. Everyone we met was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. A heartfelt thank you to Shurufa, who went above and beyond to take care of us, and to Maya, who looked after our villa with such care. From start to finish, everything about the resort radiated relaxation and hospitality. We left with wonderful memories and would not hesitate to return.

The good: The water front rooms are outstanding (see the photos). Waters surrounding the hotel offer some glimpses of sealife. Excellent snorkeling options. The resort also offers various water activities, such as kayaking. A good selection of restaurants, and the breakfast options were quite good. The hotel is very efficient as organising transfers from the airport, and this was done very professionally. The not so good: The standard of service is inconsistent. For example, at breakfast the floor staff were excellent. Friendly, engaging with all guests, and providing prompt attention. However the "station" staff were less professional. The lady at the crepe station was miserable and surly and would not respond to me verbally, and the gentleman at the noodle station refused to prepare fresh dishes, and gestured at the pre-prepared dishes and walked away (perhaps disinclined to prepare fresh dishes at 10:20am). More training for these staff would perhaps be beneficial, or closer supervision from the manager on duty could also help to make the standard of service more consistent. This hotel lacks some of the pristine beach areas of other resorts in the area. The bag delivery to the rooms after check-in took 25 minutes, however they were promptly delivered after a quick call to reception. However this could cause inconvenience for guests eager to freshen up after long journeys.

We had the most wonderful stay at Sheraton Maldives Full Moon for our honeymoon, and it will always remain unforgettable. The resort is an oasis of peace and tranquility, the perfect place to disconnect and enjoy such a special moment in our lives. What truly made the difference was the kindness and care of the entire team. A heartfelt thank you to Shafeeg, Ali, Rufat, Zakhar, Sanjeev and Haanee for making us feel at home every single day. A very special mention to Haanee, who followed up with us daily and made sure every detail of our stay was perfect. We would also like to thank Suziane for her great support with the reservation and making everything so smooth from the very beginning. This honeymoon has been an unforgettable experience thanks to the dedication, smiles, and genuine hospitality of the whole team. We can’t wait to come back one day!

We had a wonderful stay celebrating my birthday with my husband. Mirrah, the recreation manager, made it extra special by arranging a beautiful birthday cake her friendliness and thoughtfulness truly stood out. The rest of the staff were equally warm and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. A special mention to Ali, who crafted a fantastic cocktail tailored exactly to my husband’s request. Their attention to detail and hospitality made our experience unforgettable.

I am still staying at the hotel as I write this review, and while I want to emphasize that around 90% of the hotel staff are genuinely kind and helpful, unfortunately the same cannot be said for the management and reception team. Before booking, I noticed that the Marriott Bonvoy website was constantly showing fluctuating prices. I ended up booking a BB rate, expecting that the hotel might be able to help me upgrade to all-inclusive upon arrival. However, that was not the case. The attitude I encountered at reception was quite dismissive, almost as if saying, “You’re already stuck on the island, you have no choice.” Everything seems to revolve around squeezing as much money as possible from guests. Even when I offered to pay the price difference for the current all-inclusive rate I saw online, the response I received was, “Well, you should have booked that rate beforehand. This is the price now.” I found that very unaccommodating, especially from a hotel brand that operates year-round—not just seasonally for a few months. Prices on the island are incredibly high. For example, bike rentals are $80/day, a simple bowl of noodles is $45, and on top of that, there is a 10% service charge and 17% government tax. While I understand this is a luxury destination, there should still be a degree of flexibility and customer care—especially for loyal guests. Lastly, I kindly suggest reminding some of the reception staff that they are not the owners of the hotel. A bit more humility and a guest-oriented attitude would go a long way in improving the overall experience.
