The grounds are stunning, it's a shame there's no actual beach left due to erosion. Rooms are a bit worn and better maintenance could be done to ensure the upper floors are air conditioned properly. We were given a voucher to use for an extortionate evening buffet-don't fall for it! Pool staff were really lovely and gave our baby a floaty and pool to play with as we didn't have our own.

A very special thank you to Manager Dave Hj Bidul, who truly made our return stay exceptionally memorable. From generous complimentary room upgrades to extended check-out times for both us and our extended family who joined us this year, Dave went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our stay was perfect. His kindness and attention made this trip extra meaningful, especially for our children who are leaving with hearts full of joy and beautiful memories. What keeps pulling us back to Rasa Sayang is more than just the stunning surroundings and incredible food — it’s the people. The staff here are genuinely exceptional, and it’s clear they take pride in creating magical moments for their guests. The warmth and hospitality we’ve received have been consistent and sincere, and it’s what truly sets this resort apart. To Dave Hj Bidul — thank you for everything. The hotel location is superb right by the beach and you can do all sorts of water activities from the third parties from the beach. The hotel is well maintained and covers a large expanse. Spa service was excellent as well. The breakfast buffet was good and has more Asian options. however, i felt the spread lacked a bit of variety and choices. It seemed that one of the shift managers during breakfast catered or assisted guests of certain races more than others on one day + this was a bit off-putting for me. Reception staff can do a better job with welcoming guests upon their arrival as they are our first contact with any hotel and their behavior sometimes set the tone of our stay. All other staff members were friendly and professional.

Our room service attendant—whose name I, unfortunately, can’t recall—was absolutely outstanding. We were staying in room 1525, and he was thoughtful, friendly, attentive, and a genuine pleasure to deal with throughout our stay. He consistently greeted us with a warm smile and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. An outstanding resort where you instantly feel relaxed on entering the lobby. The amenities are excellent, surpassed only by the team of exceptional people they have working here. We ate in 2 of the restaurants (the Spice Market and Pinang) for dinner, and had in room dining also; the food was beautifully prepared and tasted superb; the waiting team are exceptional. Breakfast in the Spice Market was one of the best buffets I've had the opportunity to enjoy with a huge range, freshly cooked and always welcomed by their friendly team. Our room.was always cleaned and prepared with a high attention to detail by Dulal our attendant; who always greeted us with a smile when we saw him and he always asked if we needed anything. We also indulged in the Chi Spa and our treatments were amazing. This resort is very deserving of 5 stars and I highly recommend; we look forward to returning hopefully in the future!
