Breakfast staff’s service was terrible. We’d to leave hotel early in the morning and wanted to quickly grab some bread for the road and was stopped by the staff. Their initial reason was food safety, which I mentioned that I’ll assume all responsibility for it. Later, he brought his manager over, and they’d actually just want us to pay for the takeaway since it’s a “complimentary” breakfast. Although it’s protocol, I’d very much like for them to be more human about it because we only took two pieces of bread and not the entire tray for ourselves. For service recovery, them understanding from our pov would be far valuable than mentioning how they’d like to charge us for two pieces of bread when they’ve already charged us far greater in value for their poor services and poor hotel’s living condition. I’ve also asked them twice if they’d rather waste and throw the bread away than letting us takeaway. Both staff and manager agreed that they’d rather waste food. In terms of room service, it takes them a great deal of time to react and help us with our simple requests like getting extra bottles of water etc. All in all, a very lousy experience for us stay at this hotel. If you’re a reader reading this and think that I’m overreacting, wait till you spend thousand over dollars just to be treated poorly. It’s one thing to experience an average standard of service and still write a great review because your experience at the hotel’s wonderful, and it’s another when the bad service happens to you whilst everything else about this hotel is below average.

I celebrated my daughter turning 1 and this was the most amazing vacation my family and I have taken. The staff truly made this a memorable trip for my daughters. They will talk about this for ever. I want to personally think the golf cart drivers and the kids club staff. They were amazing and so accommodating. We will be back and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Beautiful beach and gardens but 3 star service in terms of efficiency and professionalism . Rooms are old, musky and tired but appreciated the new white towels provided . The buffet is a rip off , average spread that tastes horrible . But other restaurants and even room service food was better decent . Hotel has put in effort for family activities which is nice given the remote location . Outdoor massages by some therapists was heavenly. Hotel needs to have better trained staff given the older dated features of the hotel for guest to have a better experience overall . Attached is the horrible dim sum basket at breakfast with steamed beef as siu mai and guest hanging their underwear besides the walkways . Hotel staff should not allow this to marr the experience of other guest by doing nothing in good time

We had an amazing 2D1N stay at Shangri-La Rasa Ria. Check-in was smooth, and a special thanks to Evyannah and Rosita for the wonderful upgrade to a sea view room and fulfilling my bathtub request — your kindness made our stay even more special. The staff were warm and welcoming, the breakfast spread was delicious with plenty of variety, and the facilities were top-notch. My kids especially loved the pool and even got to try the traditional kulintangan musical instrument — such a unique experience! Our room was spotless, and the balcony view of the beach from the 3rd floor was beautiful. Another memorable moment: the entire staff lined up to wave goodbye when we checked out — such a heartfelt gesture! We did encounter a small hiccup where our key card stopped working despite having a late check-out package, but it was quickly resolved. I’m sure this will be improved in the future. Overall, Shangri-La truly lives up to its name — we left with wonderful memories and can’t wait to return!

The check-in experience was quite disappointing. We had to wait until 4 PM for our room to be ready, and the queue at the check-in counter was long. We asked at the counter at 3pm to be told to wait for another 20 minutes until the room to be available. Although the staff remained patient and courteous, it was evident they were exhausted from handling the large crowd. This trip was meant to be relaxing, but the long wait made it stressful instead. We were traveling with two elderly family members and had just completed a three-hour road trip before arriving, so they were understandably very tired. To make matters worse, we had a horse riding session booked at 5 PM, leaving us with barely any time to rest. The elderly didn’t get the proper break they needed before heading out again, which affected the overall enjoyment of the activity. Though thank you to Mr Wellfoe who did my check in for us. We accidentally did a double booking but as it was non refundable, he was kind enough to change the amount of the room to become room credit. We really appreciate his effort for that. Dining for the Eighth was fully booked which was disappointing as we did not know that they require prior booking for restaurants. Not blaming the hotel though but just another point to add on to my disappointment for the hotel. We ended up headed out for dinner as the elderly preferred to have Chinese. Breakfast was good. Keep up the good work. Though here the staffs looked worn out and were putting on a non-welcoming demeanor which was not pleasant. Food was good though. Take note, the peak hour was 9am onwards and from then, there was a long queue for table. Luckily we were one of the early birds to enjoy breakfast at 7.30am. I understand it was the festive season (Kaamatan), I do hope the hotel can improve their service accordingly. The room was clean, comfortable and was up to standard and expectations. Pool was great but with the massive crowd, the pool was less clean than expected. Beach was clean and tidy. Overall, if not for the bad check in experience, I'd consider coming again.
